Cloud looked onward, his face stone cold but tears still staning his face, "Im fine" was all he said through gritted teeth...

Why would she wanna DO something like that?! Flynn thought, looking at Cloud's tearful eyes. He shook his head in sorrow and closed his eyes, reciting a prayer for Rose.

Rocky, who had stopped running and watched the scene unfold in terror, stepped toward the group, speechless.

Mint was hysterical, screaming and crying. He had to be held back by the others to avoid charging back at the demon. "Rose! God no! ROOSE!"

The demon once again appeared from the shadows, not coming at the group with a great ammount of speed.

"MINT!!! YOUVE GOTTA PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!!! RUN!!!" yelled Cloud as he repositioned Flynn on his back and took off in a dead sprint, "Come on! Were almost there!"

From the passageway, demons began to appear outside of the shadow.

Rocky saw the creatures.The color drained from his entire body this time. Without hesitation, he ran as fast as he could away from the demons.

"Oh boy Oh boy Oh boy Oh boy..." Flynn panicked, until he had an idea come into mind, he frowned at the consequences though.

The demons still ran at them, while a voice called out,

 

"Guys, get out of here!"

Mint desperately wanted to take on the beast head first, but refrained from doing so, as it was what Rose wished. He reluctantly turned and ran, jogging slowly behind Cloud.

The demons came faster, creeping closer to the group.

Cloud ran faster than he ever had his entire life, when he heard the voice telling them to go, his mind only thought of one thing... Was that... Rose?...

The demon cackled as it heard Cloud's thoughts, echoing Rose's voice again.

 

"Guys, get out of here!"

"...was that..." Flynn asked silently, shaking his head in disbelief. He turned his head to see Cloud getting closer towards the end of the passageway, and let out a sigh of relief in response.

Mint continued to have trouble keeping up, not being extremely athletic. He tried to swipe a ride onto Cloud, but kept missing him, going further and further back with each attempt.

COME ON COME ON!!! shouted Cloud in his mind, the light at the end of the passageway became brighter and brighter until he finally shot out of the passageway and out toward the town park.

 

Cloud looked back and saw Mint lagging far behind, quickly, he set down Flynn and dashed back in, grabbing Mint and pulling/dragging him out...

Inside the passage way, a loud scream could be heard from the demon, it's demonic voice echoing to the outside. A loud slam of rubble slamming together could be heard, and the passageway was closed with stone the second the others left.

Mint flopped to the ground, exhausted, humiliated and saddened. He had no energy to weep, and instead lay in silence.

Cloud dropped onto the ground, gasping for air, "Is... everypony... a-alright?" he managed to say before gasping once more for air.

(No one notices that the demon screamed and stone rose out of the ground to close the entrance. Wat.)

Flynn was wide-eyed, unable to believe the events that had just occurred. He stared back at Cloud and Mint, who both looked deeply impacted by the loss they have suffered.

 

"If any of you guys need to let off some sort of mental baggage... I guess now would be the best time." Flynn commented.
