friend counter on this forum

so yah i would like to know if haveing an friend counter on this forum is an good idea i have a lot of friends on this forum (yes everypony literally)and i would like to now how many it is with out haveing to count all of them so is this a good idea let me know

I don't think there should be a counter, since adding someone as a friend by default FORCES them to be your friend until/unless they remove you. The number would have no real meaning.

While I think it'd be cool, to be fair, this isn't Facebook, this site isn't about showing off how many friends you have, and I don't think that should change (But it kinda feels like Invision is changing for the worse...) Its cool to have friends to talk to, but it shouldn't become a popularity contest.. just my 2 cents.

The only real reason this would become implemented would be if it's an incredibly simple thing to implement, like switching a switch in the Admin CP or adding a bit of code that can be done in a matter of minutes. Because otherwise, there's hardly any pressing point to this outside convenience that few people would take advantage of.

Even if the lack of uppercase letters is quite annoying here is a way to easily get the amount of friends:

 

100* number of pages -1 + amount of friends on the last page

 

So right now you have 2200 + 43 = 2243 friends.
