Imagine how they would take Rainbow Dash. I kind of don't want to. I admit Sonic and Rainbow are kind of cut from the same cloth, but that's a plus in my mind! The thing is I've only started a rough draft of my very first fan-fiction. (It's MLP . . . of course! ) I've little experience in writing period, let alone crossovers! As for how the settings blend, this is one of the few that actually makes a bit of sense. Sonic and his pals don't have to change into ponies, or vice versa, both have vaguely defined areas where lots of wilderness is the rule. Plus the most powerful items in either setting could actually be played off of each other. (The Elements of Harmony vs. The Chaos Emeralds) Not to mention that, aside from the obvious dual blue blurs, the characters can compliment and contrast with each other. Take Knuckles and Rarity for instance. Both are both have a strong sense of duty and get intensely focused on the task at hand, but whereas Rarity gets a big order done than relaxes at the spa, Knuckles has a lifetime commitment that he seemingly never rests from. Both are treasure hunters with the ability to sense gems, but Knuckles is usually forced by circumstance to find these gems, whereas Rarity seeks them out. They both have generous and forgiving hearts, of course we all know that usually works against Knucks' but it's a good quality nonetheless. Not to mention Rarity also might remind knuckles of another gem loving high class girl who almost stole his heart. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
