[Lost Profile 644]

(Note: any interaction with Ty has never happened with shade)

 

Shade made her way back to her room after a walk... She wanted to find somepony to go to the upcoming prom... But she knew there wasn't anything attractive about her...

 

She enters her room and flops on her bed

Coco tried how far can that green slime go. She stretched it, threw it on the wall.. and it was  quite a fun. She started with the structure analysis.. that way, she could try making more of that slime. What she found out was surprising - protein, lipids, even amino acids...carbohydrates in general. it was most likely alive.

After hours spent in the laboratory, Coco stuffed her bag and left with a satisfied smile and her diary full of notes.

She saw an unknown pony on the corridor.

"Wait.. everypony usually sleeps in this time of night."

She secretly opened her window, made a few spins in the air with her slime and got back.

She fed her pet, kissed the tube with the slime sample and fell asleep on her carpet.

Lite was exhausted. All she needed to do was sleep, and that was it. She walked inside her dorm, only to see Diamond with her coltfriend in bed...

 

*sighs* Well, I could sleep with Sky, but he's probably fast asleep right now... Guess I gotta be in the Void for this one.

 

A portal opened up behind her, and she walked inside, signaling that she was going to sleep.

Well, I guess you are doing exactly what you came here for. You're continuing with your studies and focusing on your progress, no drama. After all, that whole Cascade business in dealt with. So why do I feel like I'm still missing something? I'll think about it ion the morning, maybe it will work itself out. All I know is that I'm dead tired. 3 hour lectures should be illegal under any circumstance.

Rambler continued to rush around the kitchen as he responded. 

 

"Oh, um... yeah, I guess I overheard some people talking about it, too. I hadn't really been thinking about it, though. Um... Do you think maybe you'd want to go with me?" 

 

He stopped and turned to look at her.

Cascade smiled wryly. "Yeah, I would. That's kind of why I brought it up." She laughed. It just wouldn't be fitting for them to not go to prom together, not at all. After all, her father had practically raised her at his social events like prom surely would be...

"Yeah, I guess really you probably shouldn't have had to bring it up. I should have asked you sooner. But I just hadn't really been thinking about it. It just seems too far away. In high school when a dance was coming up, I'd just find the most attractive single mare and ask her a few days before the dance. But that's because I never had a steady girlfriend back then. Well, not many at least. Now that I've met you though, I guess things are different. Not that that's a bad thing, of course. I couldn't be happier to have met you."

 

Rambler turned back to the food he was preparing.

 

"Anyway, dinner's ready. I hope you like potatoes because they're pretty much the staple of all neighlic cooking."

 

Rambler set two bowls of thick soup down on the table.

Chuckling under her breath, Cascade sat opposite Rambler at the table and took a whiff of the soup. Didn't smell much like potatoes, Cascade thought.

 

"Well, if you want to wait to ask me until a few days before, I don't mind," she said, still chuckling. In an attempt to staunch the laughter, she managed to scald her tongue on the soup, which was much too hot. "Yoomph."

Rambler noticed her burning her tongue on the soup and couldn't help laughing a bit.

 

"I'm sorry, I should have warned you it was still hot. Anyway, I guess the prom thing is taken care of. Of course I'm happy to be going with you, even if its still pretty far off. So, how do you like the soup?"

 

(We should probably time skip now, so that people don't get mad at us holding things up.)

Sky yawned as he looked into his mirror,in his room. He had literally destroyed his social life by focusing too much on studying and sleeping. "Why do I have to be so socially awkward." He said as he got into his bed and turned off the light. He stared into the darkness, the depression from his loneliness consuming him.

 

(it's going to be such a pain getting back into this one.)

Cascade's tongue was lolling slightly out of her mouth, the cool air feeling rather good on the burned surface. "It'th kinda hot," she informed him in a most unladylike manner. Laughing softly at herself, she had the slimy pink beast retreat back into its moist cave and said, rather seriously this time, "Well, it's not as potato-ey as you made it sound. It's pretty good." She had half expected potato and broth to be the only ingredients, but there were some sort of spices in it as well... ((Feel free to make a time skip.))

Rambler laughed at her tongue hanging out of her mouth.

 

"Oh, well I'm glad you like it."

They had finished their dinner and Rambler was walking Cascade back to her room. They reached her door and Rambler prepared to say goodbye for the night.

 

"You know, I really had a lot of fun today. I'm so glad I found you."

 

He kissed her lightly on the cheek.

 

"Good night, Cascade."

Diamond awoke and glanced at her alarm clock. It was six o-clock in the morning. She sighed in sighed and glanced at the window, only to see. "SNOW." Diamond squeaked Loudly hopping out of bed and running to the window like a young foal. *I wonder if Nightfall is seeing this...Wait...Its six o-clock...Anyway, YAY...I'm gonna make some tea.* She thought, happily skipping into the kitchen and putting on the kettle.

Rambler woke up feeling excited. He had something that he had been waiting to give Cascade for a long time, and it had finally arrived the night before. He just hoped she understood the significance of it. He went through his usual morning routine and grabbed the box from his desk before heading out into the lounge.

Diamond awoke and glanced at her alarm clock. It was six o-clock in the morning. Shade woke up and looked out her window...

 

"Oh woohoo... Snow... How exiting...." She said with lots of excitement... No not really...

 

She saw that night was asleep, so she just walked out of her room and went to go get breakfast

 

When she stepped outside into the snow she got a chill that shot all around her body... She surrounded her hooves with green fire and melted the snow as she walked to the cafe.

Diamond stuck her head back into the room and stared at Lite. "You don't know what snow is." She said, blankly. "Lite...After breakfast we are going to go build a snow fort and have a snowball fight with some other students. And I won't let you so no. You can borrow one of my scarves if you want." She said, taking the whistling tea kettle off the stove and pouring it into two mugs. She grabbed two tea bags and placed them into the mugs. She trotted back out to Lite and placed a mug next to her. "Nothing like a hot cup of tea on a cold winter day." She said, smiling.

After the sleepless night, Coco got up early as always. As always, she got her glasses on first. "No dreams again.. I really need to get some sleep..I can't go on like this.. I tried counting sheep but there's one I always miss." she said to herself with teary, tired eyes and slowly got up. Outside was all white and cold.

"It's.. snowing?" she got out of the window and catched several snowflakes on her tongue. "Yeah. Awesome." she made a little loop in the air and got back in her room.

"Good morning." she smiled, patted her pet, putting food to the bowl. Her eyes were still tired, but shining. Then she opened her closet.

"Good mor-.. what?" she was confused. She's been growing her green slime for months, and now, it was gone.. She suddenly felt inner emptyness.

"Good morning." she heard behind her. She slowly turned, shocked. She saw a green slimy pony-looking creature getting from under her bed. "Oh...my... glob..." were the only three words she could get out of herself before she out of all the shock and tiredness fainted.

Scamps woke up and looked outside. "Wow, snow!" She cried. Then she remebered. "Oh....poop. Prom's tonight. And...I....still don't have a date." She shrugged. She was used to social rejection. "Might as well get ready for the day," she said as she pekked inside her closet at her prom dress.

"Thanks.", Lite said simply, blowing on her tea a little before sipping. "So... What is snow? And all this stuff that you mentioned that is involved with it?"

Sky awoke, to find his hair a mess and a ton of snow outside his window. "Well, buck." He mumbled as he got dressed he absolutely hated snow. It was cold, annoying and slippery, very very slippery. He left the dorm to go towards the cafe but as soon as he took one step onto the snow he ended up on his backside and a faceful of snow. "Buck." He cursed as he got back on his hooves. He noticed a mare, melting the snow and making a pathway. So he decided to follow the path way she was creating. Upon noticing the mare he was following was a pegasus Sky began to wonder how she was creating the green flames with her hooves. "Excuse me miss but how do you do that?" Sky asked curiosly.

Diamond nodded and sat down on her bed. "Its like really fluffy ice crystals. It's really colt but you just need a warm scarf, maybe a coat...and a hat. We can skate across frozen lakes. We can build snow forts. We can make snow ponies. There is a bunch of stuff." She said, Sipping her tea.

Slide Grease woke up and saw that his roommate, Sky was gone. He looked outsid ethe window. "Wow...snow." he breathed. He stepped out of bed and put on a t-shirt from his trombone section in high school, and then wrapped a blue scraf around his neck. He looked around his room; his trombone was there, as well as his tux for prom in a few nights. "Okay, I have everything." He said. He then walked outside and saw Sky talking to a mare....an odd one, who could melt snow.

 

"Well, hello there, fine mare!" Slide called, trying to act slick, as to draw attention away from.....feelings. "What is somepony as hot as you doing in the cold?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as he slid through the snow over to her.

"Well you were melting the snow weren't yo...." Sky was cut off by the arrival of his roommate. He seemed to like the mare Sky was trying to befriend so Sky decided to back off and let his roommate do his thing. Sky then signed and slipped on the snow again. "For buck sake." He mumbled. As he once again picked himself up and decided to try and walk off to the cafe by himself. Which just ended up with him on his backside again.
