Best Rarity episode? All of them. If you insist that I narrow it down to one, it's A Dog and Pony Show. But man it's hard not to include Suited for Success because of dat song.

I consider GIYC more as a Fluttershy episode than a Rarity one, so I never really gave it any thought.

One of Rarity's most admirable characteristics really shine in that episode though (:

Rarity's true beauty and personality didn't get to shine until the middle to end of the first season. Since it took a while to get there, I can see where fans hold a negative view of Rarity since she was shown not in the greatest of lights early (Look Before You Sleep in particular).

 

Since then, she's been a shining star with the greatest depth of the mane 6.

but I find her the most real.

Actually, as I explained in my analysis, I found her actions in Sonic Rainboom perfectly understandable. They were still excessive and unacceptable behavior, but her actions didn't quite come out of nowhere.

 

If I had to state my favorite Rarity episode, it would probably be a toss up between A Dog and Pony Show, and of course, Suited for Success. Suited for Success was the episode in my binge of watching every episode in order that cemented Rarity as a quality character in my eyes...I was totally wrapped up in how she worked so hard, and then everypony else was all like "No, make these changes" when her dresses were perfect!

 

And then in A Dog and Pony Show she demonstrated a wonderful sense of intelligence and charisma, perfectly using her own talents to keep herself out of danger. She didn't need to be rescued at all, and that whole episode turns damsel in distress on its head in so many ways...

Rarity is an inspiration to women. I admire her a lot.

Her independence, her smart-business sense,

there's no reason why you can't be a lady and depend on yourself.

Rarity shows that well, as a women's right activist I admire that a lot.

 

And I was just saying that is the episode that fans don't really like her for,

but it's important to note how she apologizes at the end of the episode,

realizing her mistake.
