Made a small colouring error though... The white around her muzzle in the lower picture had a different colour than the rest of her face. Fixed it though.

 

 

Can anyone not say pure, gorgeous, natural beauty?

So question ... I know this is going to be difficult ... but what is your favorite actual Rarity scene? I usually see song lists, or episode lists, but rarely moments.

There have been so many awesome, cute and badass moments...

 

But the most favorite?

 

Probably the scene in Sweet and Elite where Rarity choses her friends instead of the Canterlot ponies. She had so much to lose there. If it would not have been for Fancy that would have been it, her career and reputation would have been forever ruined, she could have never hoped to get a hoof again into the hight society.

She did not even know how Fancy Pants would react, yet she did not care, she threw everything she worked for in her whole life away, just like that. Luckily Fancy prevented that the other "noble" ponies tore Rarity to shreds there, for they would have. Especially Jet Set and Upper Crust would have relished the opportunity to turn the crowd on Rares.

 

Rarity knew all too well what was at stake, what her answer could mean to her, and she still sticked to her friends.

 

This descision showed how noble she is, what she is willing to sacrifice. Her whole life. Everything she ever dreamed of. Her true passion. Everything would have been for naught.

 

All that for five ponies in a small town. Element of generosity people.

And to reply to the first quote (can't seem to figure out how to get a fresh line in between two quotes in a multiquote message...) I actually meant this site as a whole, mlpforums, when I meant I felt at home -- but threads like this one definitely are what make it feel that way the most.  I'm fairly certain I meet the criteria of loving Rarity enough to be a part of this thread though as I've said Pinkie's my absolute favorite.. .it's quite close though.. and hanging out with you silly fillies enough with all these pretty pictures she might just be #1 again in no time ;w;

Damn, that's really, really, REALLY hard to answer, since she's so great and we get so many good scenes out of her...

 

Like Obsidian said,  the scene in Sweet & Elite when she chooses her friends over her dream of being one of Canterlot's Elite.

 

It really goes to show the kind of mare she truly is - one that will always put others before herself. Had she been as greedy as some of the troglodytic claims against her make her out to be, she just would've ditched her friends and fit in with those Canterlot ponies. That really is a beautiful episode and that's the ultimate Rarity scene thus far - she'll overcome her own flaws in order to better the lives of those around her. She's a wonderful, wonderful mare and any claims refuting such are of extreme ignorance and show how much attention they give her character, and this scene, or, this whole episode, rather, really captures her essence perfectly.

 

Another good one is the "THIIIIIIIISSSSSS ISSS WHIIIIIIIIIIINNING!!!!" scene. I love how people have tried to use that against her in the past - it's as if they were watching the screen, not the show. She was overbearingly obnoxious on purpose. Why? Obviously, to outsmart the Diamond Dogs. Even though she's shown a proficiency in martial arts, there's no way she'd be able to outbrawn hose 3 Diamond Dogs and all of their henchmen. She had to use her brain, and, instead of being what her friends expected her to be (which was the typical "damsel in distress" who needed "someone to save her") she ended up fending for herself using her wits. Sure, she's a looker and she's feminine, but I'd be goddamned if she couldn't take care of herself in a sticky situation even better than the two more physically dominant ponies, Applejack and Rainbow Dash.

 

Oh, another good one is her running out of fashion week in "Rarity Takes Manehattan." 

 

Rarity's lifelong dream to be a fashionista is one that she works tirelessly to achieve - dealing with rough, rude customers and often overworking herself for her career. She's very, very passionate about it - she loves fashion, and how hard of a worker she is at it is one of my favorite things about her - she's so passionate

 

She's also very emotional, though - and emotions get in the way of rational reasoning most, if not all, of the time. She had her hardwork - her passion - plagiarized by Suri Polosuck. She was distraught, and, even worse, her own generosity and good, giving spirit was her downfall. She was emotionally destroyed by that greedy, selfish bitch. This led to her lashing out at her friends.

 

When she saw they didn't show up to fashion week, she ran out of the show that she would've won, skyrocketing her career and letting her achieve her dream, in order to make things right. She put her own dreams on hold, right when she was about to make them a reality, just to make things right with the 5 mares she cared about the most. Hell, she was going to take it even further and stay in Manehattan to work as a costume designer just so she could get them a private screening to the musical she made them miss - and don't think "but she said it would've enhanced her career," because she's already the designer for celebrities like Sapphire Shores and has had her designs recognized by Hoity Toity. Come now, both of those things are much more meaningful than sitting in the back, designing costumes for a Broadway musical. How many costume designers for musicals are living out the dream? I can't even name one. She'd probably make more money working at the Carousel Boutique.

 

Then, of course, she gave her job to Coco, who had just lost her own. Unparalleled generosity, folks.
