This is a thread dedicated to interviews that I will do with prominent (Or not) members of the MLPforums!
 
This thread will contain all editions that are released, they won't be released at any specific interval. 
For the questions, I'll use normal font, for the answers (I will directly copy and paste the responses I get) I will put them in italics and bold like this.
 
The first six questions will be normal everyday questions, question 7 will be something I make up off the top of my head. So it'll be the "crazy" question.

Interview 1: ~Chaotic Discord~
 I had a chat with one of the most well known Admins there is, ~Chaotic Discord~, and I had a chance to ask him some questions. 
 
1.) When did you first become a fan of My Little Pony, and was there anything in particular the led you to enjoy it?
 
I became a fan back in mid to late March of 2012, or, somewhere around that time. I was on a Sonic forum and ran into ponies a lot through the past several months due to a select few members who obsessed over it, and eventually decided to go against my initial criticism about the hype and check it out. I found that the character designs were cute, the storyline wasn't overly complex but was still compelling enough (especially considering it was a cartoon), and I enjoyed the character personalities. I also enjoyed the mythology. I've always loved mythology, especially mythological creatures.
 
2.) Has the community here on the forums changed your life in any significant way?
 
In a way, yes. This has become my home on the internet, and it's where I now spend the majority of my online free time. I've been on tons of forums (mostly Sonic forums), was staff on three of them, and none of them even come close to rivaling the activity of this place, the friendly and intelligent members who are interested in actually discussing details, and the staff team that blew me away from how professional they were. A staff team I'm proud to be a member of, now. (My sources lead me to believe Feld0 is in fact an inter-dimensional deity. This would explain why he's so damn intelligent, and why the Feldian Empire is so successful)
 
3.) You have a big fan following here on the forums, I'd go as far as to say that you're one of the most well known admins. How does that make you feel?
 
Happy, I suppose   I'm well-aware of how obscenely active I am, so in some ways I guess it's inevitable to have become one of the more well-known members (and now staff) simply through my activity. This is just my natural feedback input to a place I enjoy, though xD I always give it my full attention. Welcome to a potent combination of OCD and anxiety :3 I'm glad to know that my diligence and dedication is being received positively though, and that it's not going to waste <3
 
4.) What is your favorite thing about Discord?
 
This is a loaded question for me, seeing as I love Discord equally for numerous reasons. Discord, like Q before him, is captivating, entertaining, funny and in possession of one hell of a charismatic personality. On top of his personality, Discord's very appearance pleases that 'mythological creature' fan inside of me. Draconequus? Come on, instant bad-assery. Lastly, Discord is (or, 'was', perhaps at this point) the uncommonly seen 'omnipotent trickster villain', a villain that cannot be defeated through direct ways. They need to be outsmarted, or beaten at their own game, because they're simply too powerful to face head-on.
 
5.) How do you feel about the newest episode featuring Discord?
 
Discord's villainy, at least to the extent we saw in The Return of Harmony, appears to be over. I'm a Discord fan for life; there's almost nothing that could keep me from enjoying him unless they altered both his personality and appearance beyond recognition. I posted a large topic a short while back that explained why Discord becoming neutral, or even chaotic good, is not a bad thing. I won't go into that here, as this would become an even bigger wall of text. I simply suggest reading the topic itself, as well as my comments about the episode in KCaFO's official episode topic. Overall, he's gained both character development and future episode appearance opportunities from Keep Calm and Flutter On, and I can't ask for any more than that.
 
6.) What is your favorite thing about MLPforums?
 
The community. Staff and members alike are intelligent, friendly and are willing to get things done and not screw around (or, screw around while getting things done, at least). Couldn't ask for a better community to be apart of.
 
7.) What is your official stance on the tortoise invasion of the forums?

Fixed a typo or two that occurred during the pasting process for you, missing spaces and whatnot :3 Quite obnoxious they are.

 

Now that we have something focusing on me, I shall be pinning this for all to see. Interviews are always a nice way of getting singular input about a subject from people, and a good way of getting some feedback on those views. Since you plan on condensing this into multiple interviews in this singular project, Chaotic Pincord doesn't mind pinning this for just a short while; community projects, events and such I always believe promoting.

I'm planning to do popular members, mods, admins, and the like. I'll mix it up sometimes and choose a random user, well known or not, to keep things interesting. I don't want to bias it and make it just members that everyone has heard of and knows everything about them, it would get redundant.

Sounds like an interesting concept you have going here. I'd be a little careful when you say "popular' members, though, because in all honesty how in the world do we determine if somebody's popular or not? Case in point, not that I'm trying to be mean to our fair and magestic Chaotic Discord, but I admittedly have hardly seen him around at all.

 

But uh, yeah this is a nice little idea you have going and you should continue it.

Interesting. This was a very good idea Harmonic Revelations. I think it would be nice to learn more about other members in this way. I look forward to seeing who else gets interviewed, although I think some, like Feld0 are a given.

I don't think I'm going to interview all the mods and admins FIRST. I'll try to spread those out, especially since I'm sure that some of them are very busy and I can't guarantee reasonable release. Instead I'll mix it up. I already know who I'm interviewing next and they're just a regular user.

Haha, love it! I love the idea of interviewing mods and admins, getting to know them as more than puritan fun-hating superiors the people who simply look after the forums.

Hm, very very interesting. Thanks Harmonic! Now I will go dig out my magnifying glass and start investigating who the next person to be interviewed is. I hope it will be as insightful as this one .

ASKING PEOPLE QUESTIONS AND GETTING TO KNOW MORE ABOUT PEOPLE I CONSITANTLY ST... I mean see casually on the forums? Sounds pretty sweet to me.

 

I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy reading these when I'm bored.

 

Chaotic Discord made plenty of great points, and it was interesting to get to know a bit more about him .

I agree with what this gentleman said. Are you going to spend two years making a program with a deep algorithim to ensure the randomness? Or are you just gonna pick someone if you feel like it?

 

Also, this is a really cool thing you've got going on, and interviewing our beloved Discord is actually a pretty good way to start it. Keep up the good work, I say!

 

EDIT: Also, how will you update it? Will you post a new topic or will it stay in this one? If the latter happens, will the topic be stickied (hopefully)?

So are all these interviews being posted on this thread? I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything, because I'm gonna make sure I follow this so I can know when a new one comes up, and when you do a new interview is it going to be edited to the OP?

 

Sorry for my ignorance in advance, I just felt i needed to clarify this. To make sure I understand whats going on.
