Musicals! I love them.  My absolute favorite would have to be Phantom of The Opera.  There is no doubt about that.

 

But, I also like Rocky Horror, Wicked, Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd, Shop of Horrors, Gypsy, Chicago, Lion King, Cats, Jekyll and Hyde, Sound of Music, West Side Story, Moulin Rouge, Fiddler on the Roof, A Tale of Two Cities... ugh, So many! xD

I'm personally in love with "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog", it's just so awesome. Neil Patrick Harris, along with the other actors/actresses, have good singing voices. It's just so fun to me.

Well I have only ever seen one Musical in person, and that was Les Mis. I've seen a few others, like Phantom of the Opera, and Oklahoma recorded, but even counting those, Les Mis is still my favorite. The songs in it are just amazing, and I just love the story. The others were good to, especially Oklahoma, I really like that one. However, Les Mis has my vote!

Phantom of the Opera really is a classic musical and, I really do enjoy Les Miserables. Usually, I'm not a person who is into musicals but I can make an exception.

It's hilarious, it has catchy songs, good puppet work and it's adult themes just make it even funnier.
It's like watching Sesame Street if it was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, it's just brilliant

Why must you make me answer such a question....

 

Last year in February I saw Wicked. I could just tell you....it was absolutely amazing.

 

My favorites would have to be:

 

Wicked

Les Miserables

The Sound Of Music

and Chicago

I love musicals. Musicals have this thing on me where I would cry at the beginning and at the end of the show!

 

So glad I was given the opportunity to watch The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Mamma Mia!, West Side Story; on stage!

 

It was a wonderful experience. Would love Les Miserables on stage though.

 

Other than that, I watch movies like The Producers, Hairspray, Sweeney Todd, Rock of Ages (which I absolutely love) on the silver screen.

The rocky horror picture show, hands down the best one ever made! top of all that people do the show all the time! I mean you cant beat it! sure the sound of music was good, so was the king and I, but you cant beat this...

Shocked and appalled about the lack of amazing musicals on the poll. 

 

But, as far as the poll goes, yeah, everyone loves Les Mis, Moulin Rouge, Wicked, Chicago, Spamalot... for good reason. I can't believe no one voted for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. And no one voted for The Producers? :-O You're all missing out. 

 

A lot of you have already mentioned my favorite non-poll musicals (Rocky Horror, Dr. Horrible, Avenue Q, Newsies, Little Shop of Horrors) but my two all time favourites haven't been brought up...

 

RENT and Book of Mormon! Ahhhh these are the best musicals I have ever seen~~ They're funny (esp Book of Mormon) and powerful and just so so SO great. If you have the chance definitely see Book of Mormon (if you're not gonna get offended... it's pretty much bashing the entirety of Mormonism) or buy RENT on DVD (the movie itself is good, but I prefer the final live show~).

You horrible person, how dare you make me choose! Dx I can't decide between Wicked and The Lion King - but then again, I love Phantom of the Opera too. Oh, and Avenue Q! Thankfully I didn't see that in the poll, otherwise I would have been really torn. Wait, and Little Shop of Horrors is such fun...

 

Grrr.
