Shanks 10,802 Posted July 14, 2013 Author Share Posted July 14, 2013 (edited) I am reviving this sucker once again because Rarity is no longer my least favorite mane 6 character which should make alot you Rarity fans happy. My new least favorite is Fluttershy not because I like her any less than I did before but because I am actually starting to like Rarity a bit more. As I rewatch episodes I notice certain things I haven't noticed before but what pushed her up was me actually writing this fanfic with her as the main character which did force me to actually see things a bit more from her perspective. Fluttershy is my least favorite now because the way her character is written is a bit inconsistent, it seems like she learns a lesson in an episode and then forget it a few episodes later. Despite this though I do understand why many people see Fluttershy as their favorite pony as we all have the occasional moment where we are a bit shy or nervous some of us have quite a few of those moments. Fluttershy is very kind, gentle and patient she is slow to anger but does need to work on expressing the anger she does have in more constructive ways so it dosen't build up as the few times she does lose it she tends to go way too far. I myself can relate to this as I used to have severe anger issues and would sometimes bottle them up and then explode because it was so great that I didn't know how to handle it. Fluttershy in many cases has been shown to be quite brave which I know is a bit hard to imagine for a mare that has been shown to be literally afraid of her own shadow but it is often those who are the most afraid who are the bravest because they have the most to overcome. When the chips are down no matter how terrified she might be when her friends need her she fights that fear and does what is necessary to help them. Rainbow Dash is great because... uhh.. I really like her mane? No seriously, I actually like her mane style. I also like her episode where she gets Tank. there's a nice lesson there. I like her and everything, she's an amazing and great pony and the show wouldn't be anything without her, I just don't really like her character that much. Broseph 215 Posted July 15, 2013 Share Posted July 15, 2013 (edited) I don't hate any of the Mane 6, but Rainbow Dash does get a tiny bit under my skin at times.However, I do really like her design, and I quite like her voice (Ashleigh Ball is just great) I also really like her in 'Hurricane Fluttershy', she still acts like she's the centre of the whole universe, but she is a really good leader and I like her relationship with Fluttershy in the episode, especially at the end.And the phrase "20% cooler" can't go ignored so yeah. I think shes one of the most matured ponies, shes very hard working and such a good friend to the others. I think the only thing that kinda doesnt make me like her as much is probably the accent (not hating on country people) Ashleigh Ball who is the Voice actor of applejack does a very very good accent dont get me wrong about that. I am not sure why, but I especially love Rainbow Dash's part in the "True True Friend" song. Maybe it is because she isn't usually singing about heartwarming type stuff. What do I like about her?Her accent has grown on me a lot. She's seems like one of the kindest of the mane 6. She'll stand up for herself, I like that. She's overall just a fun character. It got me thinking as Bronies we sure love to talk about why we hate a certain pony. I was just thinking it would be nice if we took this post's advice and said something nice about our least favorite of the Mane Six. Please don't phrase it in a way that sparks flame wars. Mostly, because of her shyness or sometimes stepping out of line while trying standing up herself. Something along those lines. She has a nice design, but I don't even remotely begin to relate to her character flaws. So the problem is more with me than with her. I still like her, but she's far from my favorite. I thought I was being 100% original here and wouldn't you know it, it already exists! This always happens to me with fanfics also, which gets me yelled at. Yeah i'll use the search function next time, but seriously it was posted 8 months ago and the most recent reply (not to my merged in post) was about a month ago so it would have been fairly buried under the rest of the website.
