ooc A New World: Beyond Equestria (Interest and Search)

It has been 20 years since the events of Nightmare Moon, Discord, Queen Chrysalis and King Sombra. Discord has agreed to work for Princess Celestia. Equestria is slowly growing. Now a new land has been discovered. A land of mystery. This land was where the former Haragian Empire stood, ruled by the evil Xavious. He was defeated by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna long ago. However, his spirit still remains in the ancient ruins. If a certain pony with a strong magic field steps onto the land, the spirit will feed off the energy and soon, Xavious will be fully revived. If he is revived, he will plan to defeat both Princess Celestia, Princess Luna (and possibly turn her back into Nightmare Moon), put Discord under his control, and resurrect Queen Chrysalis and King Sombra. 

 

A group of ponies have been sent to explore this new land, being cautious not to awaken the spirit. Little do they know, that a mysterious radiation of magic already has the spirit stirring and little do these ponies know they represent something even greater than their cutie mark.

Hi dere! I'm still a little new to MLP forums and completely new to MLP RP (though I have participated in RP before) but would like to apply.


Name: Sandstorm
Personality: Reserved and observant. A little mistrusting and taciturn. Opens up a little with some initial contact, but generally remains focused. Tends to make lightning fast decisions.
Details: An Alicorn, he can fly with great maneuverability but is quite slow. His magic is limited to telekinesis (primarily for expert scythe wielding) and controlling his representative element (though he may not know this, depending on how you plan to run this). He can perform those two magic tasks expertly, but literally cannot perform any other sort of magic whatsoever. He generally wears no armor and carries his weapon, a scythe, everywhere he goes (weapons ok?) His Cutie mark is a sandy coloured tornado
Background: He grew up in a small town in the desert around Saddle Arabia to a pair of earth ponies who were local traders. When he was growing up however, he was always more interested in spending time with the saddle arabian guards stationed at the nearby towns.. Living next to what could be considered the desert version of the Everfree Forest meant he learned to fight a variety of dangerous creatures, whether he had seen them before or not. Having since learnt that (surprise surprise) his "parents" arn't his natural parents he came to canterlot to join the royal guard, where he was immediately picked out as a member of this expedition.


Is this ok? Let me know if there is anything you would want changed, I don't think he is very gary stu but then again its sometimes hard for the writer to tell.

Personality: calm filly, but when angered can get very feisty

Fire fits perfect for your OC. Because she gets angry easily. That will most certainly come in handy but...let's just hope she won't lose control at the wrong time.

I'm really sorry, but I think I might have to drop out of this RP. Timezones and such make everything so hard, and usually whenever I come home from school there's about 5-7 posts or so. I think it will be best if I leave before the full on adventure starts, so if somepony else wants to join they can just say they were visiting Saddle Arabia? Again, I'm really sorry.

That's fine. In order to make the change smooth, could you go to the roleplay and maybe do something where Goldseek mysteriously leaves and leaves a letter behind so we can add the replacement in without any hassle?

We will hold. As soon as a person joins, everything will resume. We will integrate them as fast as possible. If we don't have a person in the next week, we will resume, but extend our stay in Saddle Arabia.
