I'd say 11, almost 12, at the end of the show. Consider that if they were all 14-15, there probably would not be any problem with going as a group on the train.

 

Start of the show? 7. That first year (3 seasons) was when they did all the tree sap, kitchen destruction, "construction workers", etc.

 

They grow up, but are still young enough to make some foalish mistakes.

I would say they are 5-6 years. I don't think they are really teens yet. They act pretty young to me.

They have to be older than 5 or 6 at the beginning because we see sweetie bell at her fifth birthday party and she's a lot smaller than she is even at the beginning of the show. I would say 8 or 9 at the beginning and ... I dunno... like 15 by the end. Their models don't change but a ton of time passes throughout the show.
