MLP tabletop games with expensive figurines, MLP board games, MLP characters advertising real life products, a national holiday for MLP, MLP arcade racing game, MLP gaming hardware, MLP mmorpg, MLP movies, MLP gambling cards in casino, etc.

I would say yes

Ehh, as much as I like MLP;FiM. I don't think making it uber mainstream would be the greatest thing ever.

Being a Brony is already considered 'going with the crowed'. It's already mainstream. And many 'hipsters' and other teenagers are trying to stay away from mainstream. But, by doing that they are going with the crowed.

Freak the mainstream. I just ignore it and be myself. I'll like what I like.

I wouldn't go so far as a national holiday though I wouldn't complain if that were to happen, but I don't really care if it is "mainstream" or not so long as the quality dosen't diminish so I can't really vote yes or no on this.

I've already lost my Hipster cred for liking Les Miserables; don't take MLP away from me! :P

But seriously, I don't care what's mainstream or not. I just do whatever I want, and if other people like what I like too, then that's cool. :)

YES, that would be awesome not having to hide my love for the show. Not that I do that, but I would be able to bring it up much easier. And an MLP board game would AMAZING!

I know what you feel man, it's the death penalty for watching, distributing or selling anything MLP down here and I'm not even exaggerating.

I'd love an mlp chess set and warhammer type tabletop.

I'm going to say no.  I feel like anything of that caliber would be severely overdoing it.  Besides, the fans seem to doing a wonderful job of completing all of the above, and a good chunk of the fan-made content is free.

Same here, i like it because i like it... i didn't even know about the brony fandom when i first admitted to myself that mlp was a show that i enjoyd watching.

Well that would be good but I gotta admit I kind of like that it isn't mainstream. I just hope it won't get screwed because of getting too popular. Some stuff really lose it's awesomeness because it gets too mainstream.

I mean I'm no hipster but for example a video game, an mmofps. For the first players game is awesomely cool! But it will probably lose it's awesomeness after too much people start to play it. This will bring lots of noobs and hackers in the game. Not to mention laggers,  and also some game companies really screw the game after lots of people start to play the game. They forget about their loyal fans and go for the crowd. So everything turns out to be about money. The game will lose it's fun because of the new 1337 weapons that you buy for money.  I really don't like it when this happens.

I agree with you, but still i doubt it would effect mlp. Don't forget the show is made to sell toys.. they're already just thinking about the money.. As long as they keep their awesome staff, their show should go on being awesome, and i hope it will do so for a long time. Or that's my opinion at least.

Nah. I think its fine just where its at. No need to go all out with this thing and do all of that stuff.

It is?

I was totally unaware of that.

Well, I'm on the internet a lot. I've seen it before. I guess I should say it's considered as so by SOME people.

But, nevertheless, I have been called a 'pitiful mainstreamer' for being a Brony.

Hopefully, the next generation will have integrity, and respect other people and what they enjoy. I, for one, am definitely going to teach my children integrity.

I'm no hipster. Mass popularity would mean a lot more pony, and as long as the quality stays consistently good there's no issue with there being a lot of pony to keep up with demand. General public acceptance and mainstream popularity would also mean the public would get a better idea what the bronies are all about. So no Tosh.0s and Howard Sterns giving people their first impressions.

I'm a little confused on the wording of the topic: isn't MLP already sorta....REALLY mainstream? It's sold at a lot of stores, tons of merchandise, fan art, fan music....has won a lot of awards and is publically recognized by a lot of journalist sites as a legitimate entertaining cartoon.

How much more mainstream can it be?

I think it's already quite mainstream, but I can think of a few other things not far off from MLP in terms of fandom size that are far more mainstream: Angry Birds and Spongebob come to mind, with the former becoming WAY more of a sensation than I ever could've expected. And Spongebob even has its own Gerstlauer coaster in a theme park!! If those two can get that popular in the mainstream, why can't ponies? I think it might, IF the show stays good and the fandom stays together. Our music and fanart community is far more vibrant, I'd reckon, than any others at the moment, and our dedication is far deeper than other fandoms - I think it'll keep growing and growing.

It would also give me quite a bit of glee to see a certain handful of sub-human scumlords who constantly decry the fandom and wish/predict the show and its following to die off rapidly be brought to their knees by the rapid INCREASE in poni poni poni. Then again, maybe I'm just evil. ;)

Tl;dr, I don't care either way. I like the underground feel and the sense of community, but it would be awesome to see those who hate the fandom with a passion be constantly beseiged by ponies wherever they go and whatever they do, just to make their lives a living hell. MUAHAHA

Time Magazine needs to make a pony the "person" of the year.  That would be kind of cute.

At any rate, ponies are NOT really mainstream yet.  Sure some people have heard of them but they are more stereotyped than anything else for the non watcher.

MLP being uber mainstream? No. I mean, I think when everyone likes the same thing, it just gets overdone. I can't listen to the radio anymore because they just overplay the same thing with the same message. If MLP ended up EVERYWHERE, I don't think I'd want to be involved anymore. Maybe that's me being a hipster, but I can't stand something that's super common lol

No I don't want MLP to be manestream (see what i did there). I think that's what makes the fandom so cool in my opinion. But if it does become manestream at least I'll be able to say "I liked MLP before it was Mainstream".

I'll say no, because if MLP became too mainstream it'd be done to death and everyone who liked it beforehand would get sick of it pretty quickly. Plus the whole sense of community between fans would kind of disappear... Sure, I'd like maybe a few of my friends to watch it, so I could discuss it with them, but really the only thing I can think of that's worse than being the only Pegasister in my school (heck, probably my whole town, not that I'm loud about it) is if everyone in my school claimed to like the show, just because it was cool to do so.

Then again, if everyone watched ze ponis, maybe the world would be a little happier.

I feel disappointed that there is no "I truly do not give a buck" option, but I voted for "yes" just because I wouldn't mind it that much and it would mean that there were more bronies to talk to. As long as the show itself isn't changed for the worse, I could not care less.

Well i would enjoy it people would leave us alone and troll stop being trolls.

I would also enjoy it if has a legitimate game that isnt  a fan made game. Even though games like Fighting is Magic is awesome and if you dont know what that is then look it up. However, having a table top pony game would be cool.

I guess MLP being uber mainstream would be a little bit too much. But, the MLP holiday idea wouldn't be bad at all celebrating a holiday with my fellow bronies and pegasisters.
