Posted February 11, 2013 Hello Everypony! I have just finished my second tutorial for animating My Little Pony Characters. If you are interested, please check it out! This tutorial requires Adoble Flash. If you do not have Adobe Flash, check out my basic tutorial, which all you need is some sort of video editing software (click here). Here is the tutorial: This is the Rainbow Dash puppet I used in the tutorial: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23981269/Rainbow%20Dash.fla This is a complete folder of all the puppets I have found so far: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23981269/puppets.zip Here is the source file for what I created in the video: http://bronyanimstudios.deviantart.com/art/Rough-Walk-Cycle-for-Rainbow-Dash-353506686 If you found this helpful, please like the video and subscribe to me if you want to see some interesting PMV's in the future, or more tutorials!
Posted February 11, 2013 "Use Shift to rotate and resize things" I laughed way too hard then I should at that. However, I do not believe this is the proper forum. Try The Other Fan Works Section for all of your game-y needs.

Posted February 11, 2013 Ahhh, nice to see a fellow animator around here Tell me, do you do drawn animation? If so, do you prefer it over puppets? I look forward to seeing your works.

I am glad your interested and too be totally honest, I am terrible at drawing :I though with while working with puppets, I would say that if I was good at drawing, it would probably be easier. that 3 second clip took over 8 hours of editing, and only had 24 frames and is STILL not done. I am definitely going to keep looking into other forms of animating. I plan to be using styles like this to make a PMV very soon.

Ahh, i was just like you; animating before drawing, in my case XD I've been practicing though, and it makes it easier in terms of a knowing the pony anatomy, and redrawing frames. Dayum, 8 hours?... ohh i see. in your video, you animate the frames after each other; it makes the process longer. You should animate the extreme movements first, like each time the front hooves make contact, THAN animate the frames in between. it will cut that 8hrs into 4. That's good! Ill be here for CnC if you need it
Posted May 30, 2013 Where can one find puppets? I'm looking for a Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, Rainbow Dash's Dad, and Sweetie Belle puppets.
Posted June 3, 2013 all of those can be found on Deviant Art, just search for them. just search the characters name followed by "Flash Puppet Rig" and it should come right up
Posted August 26, 2013 Yeah, I'm gonna need a little bit more information than this. Actual dialog to follow along. I've never made/learned for the life of me, how to make an MLP animation. What I need to learn is the basic of how to DRAW the characters in either Adobe Illustrator or Flash. Drawing the characters in Illustrator is a pain in the flank. Reasons being because of the folowing: making the jaw line curve without having an outline follow along AND with only one layer is just impossible for me and the same also applies when trying to make holes for the eyes. Using the eraser tool just makes the hole have an outline. I don't know how to make a window type of eye (where the animator can have the iris and pupil within the eye ball area and not risk it going outside the boundary... if that makes any sense. Posted August 26, 2013 Seems very helpful advice to know! I'll keep this in mind when I decide to start animating during a class that hopefully will teach me the art of animation.

Posted November 1, 2014 *raises hand* So I just got Flash yesterday, and I have absolutely NO idea how to use most of it. So, can you please explain to an ignorant fellow; How do you make a new frame, and then copy the last frame so both of them are the same?
