Well, I assume the majority of people reading this came from (or are at least familiar with) the original RP, so I'm going to try to keep this brief, and focus more on how this will be different.

 

Obviously, you are pirates. Not just any pirates either, you're on one of the most feared (or respected, depending on who you're talking to) sky pirate ships in Equestria. Yes, sky pirates. By popular demand this is going to be a steampunk type setting with flying ships, although I guess you can have a normal seafaring ship if you want. This is going to be extremely open ended and open world, but I'll try to give you plenty of leads on things you can do. Oh, and the Equestrian military has really been cracking down on piracy lately, even hiring former pirates as privateers to raid other pirate ships and cities that harbor them.

 

I'm thinking that the setting for this is going to be similar to Skies of Arcadia, if any of you have played it before and know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, it's not really important, that's just how I choose to envision it.

 

The number of ships involved in this is going to be determined entirely by the number of people who join. In other words, I'll add another ship every time I feel enough people have joined, unless they all want to be on the same ship or something.The captains of each ship will be elected by the other players on the ship (Except me, I can't DM effectively unless I'm one of the captains). Each ship will have it's own strengths and weaknesses, which will be decided on by the crew. To start out with, there are going to be two ships; one captained by my OC Rambler, and one awaiting a captain. I won't announce my ship's specialty for a while, so that in case anybody else wants to do the same thing, they can have it and I'll just do something else instead.

 

Rules:

• No Alicorns. There will be some exceptions to this rule, but odds are the people who might be exceptions already know who they are. If you really want an Alicorn, you can ask me, and maybe you'll catch me in a good mood and I'll accept them.
• Watch your language. Yes, you're pirates, and I don't expect you to be totally g-rated, but try not to go too overboard with the swearing.
• Romance is allowed, but try not to focus on it too much, and don't get too graphic if you're going to be doing anything... uncouth.
• Don't godmod. Seriously, don't. I will smite you with my divine powers as DM. You have been warned.
• You can play as whatever races you want as long as they appear in the show, with one exception: (besides Alicorns, which I already addressed) no dragons. I don't think there are more than one or two people on the entire sight with dragon OCs anyway, but in case they were thinking about joining, no. You may encounter dragons within the RP, but you can't be playing as one.
• If I ever give you a warning about anything, listen to it. Don't test me, or I will smite you. Granted, I try to be as nice as I can, but I have to draw the line somewhere.
• One more thing I forgot to add before: Although I don't have a problem with swearing myself, but I can't guarantee that the same goes for every player involved, so to be a the safe side, I ask that you try to watch your language, at least for the most part.

One more thing; I'm DM and whatever I say goes. By joining this RP you accept that I am effectively god within the world of this Roleplay. I try my best to be a benevolent god, and I really just want everyone to have as much fun as possible, but I am a god nonetheless. Hence my earlier use of the word smite.

• Current Crew: Bonesnap (Lonesome Dovahkiin), Storm Fire (storm-fire), Firewhip and Firedancer (Hex), Minath (Minath Watcher)

 

The Vermillion Sky: Captain Light Diamond's (Flame Dancer) ship

• Specialty: weather generator
• Current Crew: Fiera (Quip es #1), Harmonic Tranquility (Creeping Dusk), Goldseek (Regular aregularpony)

 

Ship #3: No current captain

• Specialty: Unannounced
• Current Crew:none

HMS Predator (Navy Ship): Captain Gladius's (me) ship

• Specialty: Heavy firepower, long range
• Current Crew:Darts (The Steampunk Ninja (TSN)), Rain Fell (Flame Dancer)

 

Unassigned players: Coppermane (The Steampunk Ninja (TSN)) (on The Rake at least temporarily)

 

Possible Captains: none currently

I shall join...as you know. With my OC Diamond. I would like her to be an alicorn and I don't usually make her have extra crazy alicorn powers but if you reaaaaaaaaallly don't want her to be one (I don't see why   ) Than I guess she can just be a pegasus...I would prefer her to be an alicorn though...

And I know you said the crew chooses their captains...but I am going to nominate Diamond as the captain of the second ship...I suppose its all down to whoever else join's.

Remember when I said one of the rules was specifically written in such a way that it would accommodate for you playing as Diamond. Clearly you didn't get what I meant. Yes, you can use Diamond as an Alicorn.

I'm uh, honestly not bothered about who's ship I join (just so long as the captain is active ) and I certainly do not want to be a captain :L i'll be useless Enigma's not exactly leadership material - he's comfy with enforcing the orders, not giving them. He would be ideal -somewhat aggressive- second command material.

Also, one suggestion. It may make it a little more orderly to make a sign up sheet...Like just get people to name their weapons and stuff like that.

Oh, I know. The same goes for Rambler being a more extreme version of his usual self, and not necessarily quite as honorable, especially compared to the way he is in Pranceton.

There aren't enough people involved yet for me to just send you to the ship with the least people, so either you'll have to choose, or someone will request that you join them, whichever comes first, I guess.

Just an average shotgun but she uses incendiary rounds...only...incendiary rounds.

 

 

And she uses a katana with a serrated edge...

She also keeps some throwing knives hidden through her clothes and stuff...but she rarely uses those when she is actually in a fight with another ship or something...they're more for emergencies.

Hmm, I think I'll make a new OC for this. I only have a few really fleshed out ones.

May I be put down as a reserve for the time being? If I don't make a new one soon I'll just use Dyn/Fenyw or Raindancer.

 

Question as well: could I use two characters? My idea come as a sort of ordered pair. Originally it was a group of four but that seems excessive. :x

If they come as a pair, I don't care. The only issue I ever have with someone using multiple characters is that it can potentially get confusing, both for them and for everyone else, if they're in two different places or something.

I don't know why, but I immediately imagined Bioshock infinite when flying ships where mentioned, that's the image i'm going to be burned with for the whole RP now...
