RP TOPIC

 

Take a fantastic train around all of Equestria! The brand-new, luxury Friendship Express is full of fantastic features such as five-star restaurants, a casino, a spa, a movie theater, and even a roller-rink, among other things, and its rooms are comparable to those of the most luxurious Canterlot hotels.

 

Not only that, but the train will be stopping in all of Equestria's most beloved cities and landmarks, allowing for anypony to see the country in all the comforts of home.

 

And all of this comes at a heavy discount. Convenient, isn't it? They almost seemed to be giving the tickets for this luxury train ride away.





My hopes is that this can somewhat follow in the hoofsteps of the SS Romantic and the original Camping Trip.


Rules:

1. No alicorns will be accepted. I will accept alicorn characters if they consent to be a unicorn or a pegasus instead.

2. Non-ponies will likely be accepted, as long as I don't have good reason to deny them.

3. This is primarily a Social RP. So Romance is allowed. In fact, it's somewhat encouraged. But don't get carried away with it, and interact with ponies other than your special somepony. Interact with everybody. Please.

4. Good grammar is a MUST. I have pretty high standards for grammar; I won't blast you for misspelling a word here or there, but if I can't consistently understand what it is you're trying to say, you will be kicked off the train.

5. No Power Play or controlling other people's characters without permission.

6. Try and post actively. I understand if things come up and you're busy, believe me, I know how that feels. But it's never fun to be kept waiting.

7. None of us have ever met before, just to keep things interesting. None of the ponies on this trip have ever met each other before.

8. As an extension of Rule 7, keep references to other RPs to a minimum.

9. If you have any seriously good ideas of what to do with this RP, let me know in a PM. Don't want to spoil any fun for anyone else, do we?

10. The OCs accepted are not the only guests on the train. It's okay to reference other NPC ponies from time to time, or to interact with them. But try to interact with OCs rather than NPCs if you can.

11. Try to avoid fillyfooling and coltcuddling. I mean, I'm not banning it. But if it's going to be a lasting relationship between two mares or two colts, it kinda throws things out of balance. I'd rather not deal with that.

I'll be adding my own character last, to make sure the numbers are even. But my character Ragtag will be acting as part of the staff of the train. Tag will be the engineer, and Rag the conductor. They'll always be there, but they'll be my main source of authority, and if the need arises, I'll bring one of them to actively participate in the RP.

That's her specific talent? Why not just say, like, aerial manuvers? I mean, Dashie's talent isn't rainbows, it's flying fast. My OC North Arrow emits an aurora and a flaky snow when he flies, but his talent is exploring and cartography, not snow.

The entire point of having an OC... Is that she's original, and entirely your own. How could I, in good conscience, accept you at the moment if you know so little about the pony that you'll be playing (that it's up to you to develop) that you're asking me to decide who she actually is?

 

Sorry. That's just my little rant. I'll accept you if you figure out who your pony actually is. Hokai?

Love the design, I gotta say. Beautiful design.  And I really like her story and personality. But, like I said in Rule 1, I don't much like alicorns. And I'd rather not make an exception for her, even if she is technically a pegasus. Do you insist on using her as is? Since the horn is broken, I might just grudgingly accept her.

 

Is she based off of Ty Lee from Avatar the Last Airbender?

I considered trying Dusk again, but I'll just stick with Moonbeam. I think the SSR and the Camping Trip suffered because of a lack of organization, especially because SSR was my first try at being DM, but it looks like you are much better in that regard, Descant. :)

I was wondering when someone would say vacation. I'm actually perfectly fine with that. You're in.

Refer to rules 7 and 8. Sorry. SS Romantic never happened. Neither did the Camping Trip. Although it's okay for them to be instant best friends.

 

On second thought... I guess it depends on whether other OCs that join were involved in either RP. If they weren't, I guess that might be okay. Lets wait and see, eh?
