Star trotted further down the train and up to the top floor.

She unlocked her room door  and walked inside. She took a piece of paper, a quill and some ink from her large suitcase.

She sat down at the small desk in the corner of the room and started writing a letter.

(Did we ever actually introduce ourselves?)

His nodded his head to Fiera when she asked him, and when Hop asked his name he looked horrified, like he'd just seen a ghost. He backed up a step or two, towards the mare he had already gotten acquainted with before he finally snapped out of it and managed to reply. "My um...my name's Creeping Dusk..." he said shyly, "it's um...it's nice to meet you."

"Yeah, I'll probably do the same too. Don't want anyone trying to swindle a giant bag of bits out of me, that's for sure.", Accent said, as she slung the giant bag over her back, and began to walk alongside Moonbeam back to their rooms. The bits jingled inside the bag with each step.

After Moonbeam and Accent dropped the bits off in their rooms, they head towards the lounge. On the way, Moonbeam spied a group of ponies. She figured it was best to just be friendly and forward. "Hi, my name is Moonbeam and this is my friend, Accent. We're going around exploring the train and meeting new ponies. What are your names?"

(OCC: im going to be a little slow at posting now that track season has started)

Next to the blind pony that wanted adventure, Encore suddenly felt that his own reasons for coming were awfully inadequate. He traveled plenty on his own. He probably had already seen all of the sights that this train was probably going to stop at. After a moment of pondering, he responded, "I just needed a bit of fresh air, I suppose. A vacation." And it was certainly true that he hadn't taken any personal time lately. His whole life was his work.

"That's understandable, sometimes its nice to get away from all the fuss-n-buss of life." Unholy sighed, leaning against a wall.

"I've never really been good around other ponies, i never know what to say around them... but for some reason... i find it really easy to talk to you." she added.

a strand of hair fell in her face, so she quickly flipped it out of the way then flashed Encore a friendly smile.

Hop smiled at Jabbers offer and thought about it for a second. "Well i did just come back from there not to long ago but i guess i could go for another round of coffee. Would you like to come Dusk?" she asked giving the shy colt a friendly and welcoming smile. She didnt care if Jabber didnt want him to come but she found Dusk a little interesting. Mostly because she found shy colts cute and she just has a thing for them. Though of course she wanted to get to know him first.

"I...uh, well..." he looked back and forth between Hop and Fiera. "I don't know...I guess...there's no harm in it?"

He still found himself backing up a little, despite the comforting smile. When he realised this he stopped and took a step forward again. "I'm sorry, i'm just...not good with strangers."

"See, that's the spirit!" Jabber threw a hoof around the neck of the stallion once again. "All ya' have to do is throw yourself into the spotlight and, before you know it, you'll have more friends than you can shake a stick at! And if you don't have a stick, I might have one to sell you back in my bags." He winked before turning and beginning his march to the lounge. "Well, what are ya'll waiting for? The coffee won't remain warm forever!"

The question was more of a demand then a question.

The last time Jabbermouth had heard those words said in that tone was right before his mother locked him in a cellar for two days. Not that he meant to sell the family's entire herd of pigs - he was still learning the family trade.

"Uh. Of course, Of course. Here, step into my office." Jabber ushered her over away from the rest of the ponies. "What can I do ya' for?"

[OOC: Edited it to say pigs because I realized that cows are, in Equestria, an intelligent species.  ]

Encore paused alongside the unseeing pony as she stopped, and gave her the most curious look she could not see. To the view of another, it might have been uneasiness, compassion or even pity. In fact, he was not entirely sure what it was he was feeling, himself. Remarkably, Encore found himself struggling to find words. It appeared he had the exact opposite case of the zebra in front of him. "Well... That's good, I suppose," he mumbled.

The two redheaded ponies stood together in the engine room, their crisp scarlet uniforms - matching the train - clashing brilliantly with their manes. They chatted idly with the earth pony at the throttle. This earth pony held an air of command, despite the oil stains in his pale coat and unkempt navy mane. "So, what's our first stop again, Lowie?" the mare asked. The colt rolled his eyes. However, Low Loader responded quite patiently. "We're taking the scenic route to Manehattan, as you ought to know, Rag." Rag groaned, and exclaimed, "Just tell me!" "Well, we'll be making a stop in Buffalo tomorrow, as I'm sure your brother knows. The passengers would love to see Neighgra Falls." The redheaded colt merely nodded sagely. "It was on the pamphlet, Rag. The ones they gave us when they hired us?" "Oh, Tag. Don't talk to me like I'm a foal. I'm only five minutes younger-" "Well," the older twin interrupted sternly. "I'll talk to you like a foal as long as you continue to act like one."

Moments later, the redheaded mare was seen storming into the bar beneath the casino.

Fiera sighed lightly and shook her head. "I already ate and had something to drink. Not to mention I don't drink coffee. If you can't be energetic without coffee, you shouldn't have coffee, I always say" she stated proudly. "I'm going to continue looking around the train, you guys have fun I guess" she said as she started to head in the direction of the Casino.

Hop quickly caught pace with Jabber and took a moment before speaking. "Look, i know you're trying to help Dusk along but let me handle it. It's what I do for a job on a daily basis. I'm not trying to be rude but trust me alright, i can take him at my own pace." she said in a hushed voice so that only Jabber could hear. She then slowed down slightly so she was behind Jabber.

Dusk's ears perked up when Fiera spoke "No wait! You don't have to..." but she was already half way down the carriage.

His ears flopped down and he looked at the ground "oh dear...was it something I said? This always happens..." He sighed and looked over to Hop and Jabber, before sitting down where he was and waiting.

Jabber turned around to look first at Hop, then at Dusk. He leaned in close to Hop and gave her a serious look (which was actually quite hard for him to do naturally) before whispering, "Look, not everything needs to be solved by a doctor or a therapist or...y'know, whatever it is you do. Sometimes you just need to nut up or shut up...and it looks like our friend here has been shut up for quite some time. So how about you let me try and coax him out a bit? If I can't get him to open up, he's all yours to study in your evil laboratory lair."

Star finished writing her letter and lit a small green candle which she just pulled from her bag. She let the letter catch fire and watched as the ashes fly into the air and out the window, which was open just a slight crack.

Star closed the window all the way then trotted out of her room and down the stairs towards the more lively part of the train.

Jabber blinked, then smiled. "Excellent! I can't wait to make our friend here the life of the party." He was halfway back to Dusk when he thought of something. He slowly turned back to Hop, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. "In fact, I am so sure of my success in reforming him that I'm willing to make a little game out of it. How 'bout this: if I can make him open up, you have to accompany me to dinner one night. And if, somehow, I can't manage to crack his shell, I'll allow you the privilege of joining me for a lovely, candle-lit evening meal. Whaddya say? Care to make it a wager?" His smile reached from ear to ear as he gazed at the mare in question.

"Why, my good lady, I'm offended!" Jabber called after the mare, but she had already walked away. With a defeated huff, he turned to Dusk. "So, pal. Looks like it's just you and me, eh?" He offered his most charming, charismatic smile, hoping to elicit some positive response from the stallion.

((I should warn you now, cracking Dusks shell...might not be something you want to do))

Still sitting on the floor wondering what went wrong, he looked up at the stallion who approached him, and gave him a nervous smile as he stood up. "I uh...I guess so. At least there's not a crowd anymore." he practically sighed with relief at the revelation that they where alone again. He was alone with another total stranger, but at least the crowd had dispersed.

Star trotted from the sleeping carriages to the cafe where she trotted over to the counter. "I'd like a hot chocolate...and a strawberry scone please." She said, giving the blue mare behind the counter a shy smile.

The mare nodded and placed one strawberry scone into a paper bag, then she trotted over to a large hot beverage dispenser (I cant think of what they are called O.O) and poured some of the contents into a mug.

Star dropped a few bits onto the table and sat down at a table next to the window. She happily munched on her scone and admired the scenery.

(OOC: Now Star is by a window admiring the scenery  :P )

"Not a crowd guy, eh? Well why don't we go grab a seat Hop and enjoy a nice cup of coffee - three's not a crowd, right? Anyway, the first thing you need to do is relax and hold a normal conversation with regular ponies." He led Dusk over to the table Hop was seated at and flagged the waiter down.

A beige stallion with a thin mustache, the waiter reeked of self-righteousness. He reminded Jabber of all of the hoity-toity fancy Canterlot residents he had swindled over the years...ah, good times.

"I'll have a cup of Rüdesheimer Kaffee with an extra shot of brandy. And what for you two? My treat, remember?"

As far as trains went this was pretty luxurious. I mean seriously, it has a roller rink, who else has that? But enough of simply wandering the train aimlessly, Star Keeper had barley seen anypony lately. Sure there was that one nice stallion but other than that, everypony seemed to be off doing their own thing.

That was until Star found himself wandering down the hallway of a random carriage. He wasn't to sure which but it really didn't matter too much. But he wasn't the only one here. Looking out one of the windows for whatever reason was a lone mare. Well, what did he have to lose. Quite frankly he was getting sick of the isolation.

"Hey." Good start, now follow it up. "I couldn't help...  but, um... notice that..." And you were doing so well. "Sorry. Um, my names Star Keeper. What do they call you?"

Fiera looked back, but only to see them walking into the cafe. She sighed in defeat and continued walking down the hallway alone. "Not like it my fault 50 different ponies have to bump into me and take my friend away..." she mumbled to herself angrily. "Why can't I just have a good time with a friend for once?"
