"Not much of a view from down there but it's still a luxury cart, none-the-less." he adds. He notices his coffee is empty, and he pours himself some more.

 

"Adventure is always good for young ponies, it helps you get more experience. I wish more ponies were like you two."

Moonbeam blushed at this comment. "Aww, shucks. Thanks for saying so. You're quite the amazing pony yourself!" she said bashfully. Moonbeam ran out of tea as well, and poured another hot cup. "And yeah, the rooms here are wonderful. They're so luxurious. I can't wait to see more of the train!"

Star Rain was suddenly feeling uncomfortable and claustrophobic, though she did her best to hide it from the two-now three- stallions. What in the world did Styles mean by that? Is Jabber a lady's stallion or something? And what the heck, when did that other one get here?! Her mind was in a torrent now. "Hi there..." she said to Encore. Nothing followed.

"Miss Rain, may I get you something to drink?" While Styles wanted to stay and talk to the other fedora wearing pony, he noticed that the mare looked a little flustered. He hoped to make her feel comfortable but he couldn't be rude to the other stallions by simply tugging her away. "Here lets get you a coffee or something."

"Yes, I think I might do some more exploring of the train myself. I'll see you ladies around." Harmonic says as he stands up, giving a slight nod to them as he walks off, and back to the downstairs of the carriage.

 

"I haven't eaten anything, perhaps I should go do that."

Star waved at Harmonic as he trotted off down the stairs. "He was...flattering...and quite nice." She said, smiling and looking at Moonbeam.

She sipped her tea and looked out the window. "I wonder when we are going to get going." She said, looking at the busy station.

 "Thanks," Encore said, smiling and replacing the hat on his head. He glanced at the petite mare, who seemed increasingly uncomfortable. He was not oblivious, as the others seemed to be. She was quite obviously overwhelmed. He decided to do something about it. He'd take the attention off of her for her. Sparing her a sideways meaningful look, Encore turned to the slick unicorn, and held out his hoof, and saying, "Good day, mate. I'm Encore. Did I overhear you were carrying merchandise?" He hoped that the pegasus would be bright enough to take the hint and allow the mare to get away from them all, as Encore had turned to somewhat exclude them.

Star nodded. "Sure." She said, finishing her tea and standing up. "I would love to get a look at the casino...and the spa. I think they're supposed to be quite pretty. But I don't really mind where we go." She smiled. "But i'm easy. We can go wherever." She said, looking out the window again.

Harmonic just continued walking through the halls, talking to himself.

 

"Stupid, stupid, stupid. I messed up completely, I just couldn't tell her, could I? I don't think I'll have a chance like that again, and I blew it." He said to himself, not going anywhere in particular along the train.

Star nodded and followed Moonbeam. "I think its in carriage eight...upstairs." She said, walking down the hall a little. "You know what, it is there. I remember reading the brochure and it said something about the spa. Come on." She said, happily trotting down the hall.

"Oh, great! Let's go," she said, trotting behind her new friend merrily, humming a happy tune she had recently heard. "I've never been to a spa before. I bet it'll be great, though. And then after the spa, we can check out the casino. I'm sure that will be a fun time as well."

Harmonic settled on a bit of gambling to clear his head, and he headed to the casino.

 

"Gambling should clear my head, and be a bit of fun." he thought to himself. He started to play on some of the slot machines, since he always had the best luck with those when he used to gamble in Canterlot. 

 

"A win, looks like it's my lucky day!" He said, he continued to try again and again.

"Oh, great! Let's go," she said, trotting behind her new friend merrily, humming a happy tune she had recently heard. "I've never been to a spa before. I bet it'll be great, though. And then after the spa, we can check out the casino. I'm sure that will be a fun time as well."

"Definitely." She said, smiling and pushing open the sliding door that led into a small diner. "This place looks good." She muttered, walking across the diner and pushing open another door that led to what seemed to be just an ordinary hallway. "Oh...this must be the theatre."

"Ooh! Cool! We should totally see a show here later too. I hope it's something really good. I just saw the Bucky Horror Picture Show before getting on the train, actually. Now that was a good show. Anyway, I think we're almost there," said Moonbeam in her quiet, yet enthusiastic manner.

And I think its just through...Here!"  She said, sliding open the last door that led into a pretty spa area with a sauna in the corner and even a couple small mud bath's. "Its amazing to think that we are on a train." She said, as a well dressed stallion trotted over to them. "Good afternoon. Are you here for a treatment ?" He asked.

"Wow, you're right!" she said with wide eyes as she looked around at the place. She was just a small town girl. She didn't know much about this kind of stuff. She had no idea what anything was or why it was there, but it was certainly impressive.

 

When the worker approached them Moonbeam managed to say, "Umm...yes?"

"Well, perhaps, but I've decide to take today slow. So let's all just take our time and enjoy the day, yes?" Jabbermouth said with a wide grin. Extending his hoof, he added "The name's Jabbermouth. Travelling salespony, as I'm sure you've heard, and professional photographer-slash-journalist. I've covered wars, you know-" 

 

Jabber stopped, a blank smile adorning his face as he experienced a mild panic attack. He had already gone the Professional Drinker route...but perhaps he could make this work.

 

"...is something I would say if I was indeed a professional photographer-slash-journalist. I...wanted to be a journalist...as a kid...ahehehe."

Hop didnt have to wait long for a waiter to come by and take her order. She happily ordered a coffee and a muffin. Once the waiter had left she pulled out an ipod seemingly out of no where. She plugged in the headphones and scrolled through her songs till she found the one she wanted. It played and she lightly nodded her head to it. The waiter came back with her muffin and coffee, placing a few bits on the table the waiter picked up the payment and left. Once the song ended she chose another, and repeated, this time sipping at her coffee.

The Stallion nodded. "Hey Sunny you have two customers." He said, looking over at a pretty unicorn mare who nodded and walked towards Star and Moonbeam. "We will start you off in the sauna." She gave them both two towels and led them over to the sauna. Star wrapped the one of the towels around her mane and the other around her waist, (I have no idea why...but...shhh) then she sat down and spread her wings with a sigh as the Unicorn mare poured some water over the hot coals.

Encore blinked, intelligent green eyes scanning the shifty, fake smile. That didn't add up with what he had overheard from earlier. He was not fooled. Looked like his first impression was indeed accurate. Well... 

 

"Cute. Very cute." Encore supplied a sardonic slow clap, his face impassive. "Shame that didn't work out for you in actual real life, eh?" He smirked slightly.

Styles noticed the rather odd change of vocation from the sales pony but let it slide. he was more interested in making the mare more comfortable. "Lets get you that coffee now." 

He moved over to the counter, fully expecting the mare to follow. Not sure what to order for her he looked back at her.

She laid back with a soft sigh. I wonder what happens after this, she thought, before deciding to just focus on what was happening right now. The steam was nice.

Jabber did not like being shown-up, even with no one else around. He took it as a personal offense. But then again...Encore was kind of cute.

 

Jabber rolled his head around, satisfying snap-snap-snaps in his neck clearing his mind. "Whatcha doing on this train, pal? Care to play a hand of cards to pass the time?" Jabber reached over and grabbed a deck of ornately-designed cards sitting on a table nearby.

She could get used to this.

"This is...quite nice." Star said, closing her eyes and smiling. "I'll come back in a few minutes." Said the mare, smiling at Star and Moonbeam then trotting out of the sauna, closing the door behind her. "I have only ever been to a spa once before and it was ok. But this...this is wonderful...its almost like the steam has been scented with lavender or something...its wonderful."

Encore's smirk merely grew as Jabbermouth stumbled over his own tongue. Somehow, he had expected more of a challenge. Ah well. 'Twas a shame. Jabber cricked his neck, and asked him what he was doing on the train. Before Encore could respond, however, Jabber had already asked another question, this time asking if he wanted to play cards, and before Encore could say no what seemed to be half a deck of cards was thrust into his astonished hooves. He set them down on the table, and responded at his own, somewhat slower tempo, "Well, I'd assume I'm on this train for the tour of Equestria. I needed a vacation. And I'd really rather not play cards. I'm not a fan of gambling or trivial games. Thanks, though." Out of the corner of his eye, he could see the pegasus and the petite unicorn mare had moved to the counter. Well, Encore thought somewhat regretfully, at least they didn't have to put up with this fellow now.
