"Teen Swag :]" Is down! I repeat, it is down!

I don't know how many of you use facebook, but there was a page called "Teen Swag :]" that had over 1.2 Million likes. Essentially it was a cancerous page that posted those "Just Girly Things" pictures, the "1 like = 1 respect/prayer/etc" pictures, things like "lyek if u evr dun dis" pictures... you get the point.

A few of the smaller pages (Under 75k likes) with rather dedicated fanbases, such as "This is why aliens won't talk to us" and "BestOfYouTubeComments" organized a raid on the page.

It was so successful that within a day facebook took down the page.

So I have no idea why I'm telling you all this. I didn't even participate.

Maybe I'm just happy because we are one step closer to curing the cancer known as "swag."

Yes, I know, love and tolerate. But if you think about it, I'm showing them love by saving them from their insanity ;P

P.S. I don't necessarily have a problem with the "swag" style, or their little phrases (although they do get overused to the point of irritation), it's more the self-centered, "I'm better than you 'cuz u no gots swaggs' mentality. Also it seems to accumulate in groups of people who are, well, lacking in the fields of grammar and logic.

Also, I get a lot of hate for MLP from SwagFags, so I do have a bit of a prejudice against them.

I really personally am happy that Teen Swag got knocked down

Since it was one of those pages that was there just for likes

And I remember one page that had actually said that it was run by a girl

When really it was 2 guys just trying to get to hear "stories" from girls

I don't really remember it too well, but I think that it was something like that

I rue the day that I joined Facebook...I've noticed in the past couple of weeks that a lot of the pages with middle-eastern looking teens and their copypasta statuses/pictures were all but eradicated. It is good to see that someone is finally taking a real stand against idiotic pages like Teen Swag.

I regret getting facebook as well, but mainly because, as much as I hate it, I can't force myself to get off. It wastes a lot of time that I could be using for self improvement :P

You know the funny thing is that I didn't even know there's such a page like this. I don't know any of these mentioned..

And why? Because I didn't care about pages.

And somehow, I don't see the point of putting down the page..

Internet heroes.

And if the swagfags are stupid, putting down the fb pages won't do anything. They keep on being stupid anyway. Some stupid posts on fb have minimal effect on their mentality or abilities. Seriously, deleting page has never ever taught anyone proper grammar...

So the phrase "lacking the fields of logic" in the post is kinda ironic.

Tl;Dr version: Pointless.

I really detest those pages. And also, I think they get money for the likes, because they were so big. Kind of like how youtube pays the bigger channels for their views.

Well a glorious day indeed! It is a good thing that they took down the page, besides the swagfags barely even have any brains or logic to begin with. They are more of a race of people that choose brawn over brains. I say we rejoice, then party until the night is young. Now, we are definitely 1 step closer to curing this world of Swag. Next stop, is the curing of YOLO.

As I said, I didn't participate.

Mainly the point of getting rid of the pages are those irritating photos that they put everywhere. And the less influence that those who fly the 'swag' banner have, the less it spreads.

And 'irony' is saying one thing, and meaning another. I believe the term you meant to use would be 'hypocritical." :P

I don't even use Facebook anymore because that kinda stuff is all I see my friends "like" lol.

Btw, Chaotic Lightning, I don't really hear anypony say YOLO anymore, so for now we're safe...

No, I wanted to use this.

Don't tell me that "the irony of fate" is when the fate is talking about something and means something totally different,

At least in my language this term works for both, I don't know how about english.

I don't believe that we have that, but I could be wrong :)

You're bi-lingual? That's awesome :)

I'm currently in Nicaragua studying spanish :P

What languages do you speak?

Bro, your english is fantastic. You spell better than 50% of Americans.

And I took almost two years of latin. I... let's just say that I'm not exactly good at learning language from a book :P I have to learn it from experience :P

I for one don't care much about the page being down BUT one thing I really hate are pictures of sick people or something saying like= $1, or respect or whatever. They act like god people but they are actually exploiting the misfortunes of others (and/or the feelings of people especially when they're fake pictures) for likes. That disgusts me.

Oh! Goody! Finally the cancer of the internet is one step closer to being cured!

Tho...to them we are the cancer :P LAWL

You know what? #yolo #swag :P

I use SWAG to annoy me or if something makes no sense etc :P It's funny cause it irritates some people.

Haha I use 'Swag' and "yolo' as jokes :P Like if I accidentally do something completely moronic, I just say (in a sarcastic voice) "Welp. Swag."

Also, I have this phrase with my friends: "I swagged so much I almost yolo-ed!" :P

I never say "Yolo" or "Swag" without the other. Makes me sound retarded :P

Each to their own I guess ^^ It is funny sometimes, and its awesome.

I too only use swag and yolo when I'm joking I NEVER use it seriously and get annoyed when people do but I guess it doesn't matter to me much... unless they wear shirts like these

It works for both in english too.

Anyway, I'm not too bothered by them having a page like that and I don't feel any kind of joy or relief for it being temporarily taken down. In fact I find this thread a little ironic and i mean the "what happened was the opposite of what was expected" ironic, especially when I saw this

Maybe I'm just happy because we are one step closer to curing the cancer known as "swag."

I remember seeing similar comments made by brony haters, you know calling bronies "the cancer of the internet". It's funny how the world works sometimes.

This looks more like a General Discussion topic, as it isn't directly related to bronies? I'm moving it there for the time being :3

It's all cool with me :) You're the boss :)

Oh, and I just found out that John de Lancie voices discord?

How awesome is that? :DDDD

Why did no one tell me? :(

Yes! May the swaggots crash and burn for their crimes against humanity!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So what's the page called again? I want to see what you're doing to it.

The page was called 'Teen Swag :]" But it was taken down, so it no longer exists.

Basically they flagged all the posts and pictures, and commented "Heil Rapunzel" (their catchphrase) on everything they could find.
