Has it happened to anyone? And if so, how common is it?

I think it made a much bigger difference in the most attractive pony tournament than it is making here, I confess I am mainly doing it as a bit of a way to get the attention of Twilight fans by keeping this thread active and going because for the most part I am hearing crickets chirp from them while the Rainbow Dash fans are really on fire. I think the Twilight either give up way way too easily or are just really really cocky. I don't think that Rainbow Dash really has that many more fans than Twilight does as she also has quite a few haters while Twilight dosen't really have all that many.

 

But I suppose either way it looks like Rainbow Dash is probably going to win this round which dosen't surprise me but the fact that it is this much of a blowout is pretty sad.Whether or not I support Rainbow Dash in the final round is going to depend on whether Pinkie Pie or Discord wins the next one, if Pinkie Pie wins I am going with Rainbow Dash if Discord wins then I am going with the lord of chaos.

Not trying to be mean or anything, but I'd say it's about time we put an end to this beat-down and called Rainbow Dash the winner already.  Pretty much a foregone conclusion at this point.  Sorry Twi-fans, you gave it your best shot, but Dashie kinda thrashed ya'll real good.

Seriously, I don't think the idea here is to convince the die-hard Dash fans to vote for Twilight, and vice-versa, but rather to try to win the undecided. Both sides have compelling arguments and HEY! Why are you complaining? I mean, ponies!

I just realized something. Applejack actually BEAT Rainbow Dash in last year's tournament? That's well... that definitely makes me feel better, especially considering Twilight beat Applejack last year as well as this year. Maybe AJ vs RD would have been a much more exciting match this year if Twilight didn't squeak out a one point victory.

 

Either some people on this forum rallied a truckload of Dash fans from who knows where, or Dash has picked up a ton of fans. That, or Twilight lost a bunch. These tournaments are quite interesting to say the least.

Pinkie Pie is the obvious choice, of course. She's funny, enthusiastic, and her scenes and progression are the most satisfying to watch. She's devoted to making other people happy, and how that's her one worthwhile pastime - come on, that's damn admirable. Give her your vote, everypony! She deserves it

I agree. Twilight deserved to at least put up a fight. How could she lose to the pony that got her hind quarters kicked by Applejack last year? Sad, I was pulling for Twily.

Remember that last year was when Season 2 aired, and people likely thought that Applejack's acts in the Last Roundup (that is, if they can forget Derpy) and Super Cider Squeezy were much better than Rainbow Dash's acting in Best Pet Win and Mare Do Well. It was a lucky stroke for us AJ fans. This third season, though...Applejack doesn't stand a chance against Rainbow's new portrayal in Sleepless in Ponyville.

 

Derpy would kill Applejack if the match was held last year. 

 

Twilight had great moments last season, so there's no doubt she would've beaten Applejack. What ticks me off is that she beat Applejack THIS year.

 

Oh, and I voted for Discord. I never liked Pinkie Pie much.

I love Pinkie, but I really don't want to see her repeat as champion, so I just had to throw my vote to Discord.  Besides, along with being the ultimate troll, Discord also happens to be the only male character left in the tourney, and for a guy to be in the tourney this late in, in a show so predominated by female characters, that's pretty dang impressive.  SO VOTE DISCORD, EVERYPONY, CAUSE HE'S GOT SOMETHING NONE OF THOSE GIRLS HAVE!  That's right... FINGERS!!!

Discord is chaotic neutral now, so he's the best of both worlds. He's also got the best voice actor and humorous personality of any villain, antagonist or non pony :3

Last year's tournament had only a fraction of member turnout and votes than this year's giant haul, hence why some ponies won last year and lost this year and vice versa. Plus the way last year's was set up made it too unbalanced.

You'd be off your rocker to say that Pinkie Pie isn't more appealing than Discord. Just look at her; she's borderline perfect.

I've always really liked Pinkie Pie, she's always been a great character(well except maybe in season 3, but she's at least funny there). I guess I will put all my hopes on her for now, silly old Dipcord doesn't stand a chance here.

Okay, let me make one thing very clear from the start: I am VERY sympathetic to arguments against Pinkie Pie winning this tournament. She won last year so someone else really ought to get it this time, her character became shockingly one-dimensional and predictable for most of season 3, and she has always been in the lower half of the mane six for me.

 

Then again...

 

This is still Pinkie Pie we're talking about here. She has dedicated her life to teh lulz, and while her randomness may not always hit the mark, her heart is always in the right place. She's every bit as adorable as the other main characters and has had quite the compelling life story. She is, in short, a character I ALWAYS root for whether I feel like it or not.

 

Also, while she lost a few cool points in season 3, Discord lost more. I'm sorry, he just did. Free Chaotic Neutral became Tamed Chaotic Neutral, and that's just not a positive development for him. Season 2 Discord might be a tempting vote for me in this matchup. But Discord as we know him now? No. He's not as awesome. He's not as interesting.

 

And he's not Pinkie Pie.

 

 

PS: Don't count on me for too long, Pinkie fans. My support will last exactly long enough for the round to switch. Dashie FTW.

While Discord is one of my favorite characters, and I'd relish the sight of ~Chaotic Discord having a mental breakdown trying to choose between him and Dash, I have to go with Pinkie. She's my second favorite character, and she truly is amazing to watch .

I love Discord as a villain  Hes a sly, devilish, and plan funny dragon with a sense of humor. I wish they put him in more episodes in the future, or make him back into a villain instead of his gender neutral personality. 

 

That being stated... Pinkie Pie is just too much for me not to vote for. The brightest, funniest, randomist, and more cheerful character ever... how can deny that?

And, of course, numerous records regarding margin of victory were set as soon as Fizzle decided to make this voting process a bit lengthier! Poor Twilight... just couldn't quite keep up with Dashie and her legion of superfans.

 

Anyway, I think this round is a bit more interesting and not filled with so much drama; Pinkie Pie takes the cake (get it?). Dammit just look how gorgeous she is.

 

You can't look me in the eye and tell me that she isn't pretty. Or lovable.

Rainbow Dash is one step away from greatness, and following through with my prediction of coming out on top of it all (50/50 with Applejack, because I thought they would meet in the semi finals instead of Twilight... But SO close! Makes life easier for me though when it came down to that last vote).

 

Now, on to Pinkie Pie and Discord... Sweet jebidiah. This is a match of epic proportions. In one corner, you have a chimera of creatures who wields chaos vs. the reality bending, 4th wall breaking, party animal with a heart of gold.

When it came down to it, I voted for Discord strictly because he is pretty much all powerful and has already worked some of his chaos into this entire tournament already! (I'm looking at you Applejack!) As much as I wanted to pick Pinkie Pie, I didn't really imagine it would have had much effect regardless, lol. In the end, I could see Discord just getting bored and has secretly been changing people's votes to Pinkie Pie as a final act of mayhem, bwuahaha. Then again... 10 votes isn't much of a difference and could change overnight. We will just have to see.... Maybe if Pinkie Pie had that potion of TS's from the Double Rainboom, she could take on Discord.

To be honest, I find Pinkie Pie annoying, and there are a lot of her fans that are annoying too

 

Not to mention the fact that she won last year and I never like it when someone wins all the time.  It isn't much fun for the others.
