Anyone else not understand the appeal of watching sports?

I would laugh if there was a laugh reaction, and if I understood football (which I don't). In our country... soccer is called football etc etc.

 

I used to love watching Formula 1, especially the qualifying, but the drama got a little bit too childish in the 201X, so I just decided to not watch it.

I feel the OP. Watching sport has always bored me .. well with the exception of chess though

Watching Formula 1 reviews since 1988, and am currently on 2020. I currently see the appeal.

The only sport I can really watch due to finding it strangely relaxing, is snooker.

I personally don't care for watching sports. I just can't get invested in it for whatever reason. To be honest with you, I'd rather be playing them myself.
