Unholy bowed; "it would be an honor to live in the temple." Unholy said, then she stood up straight.

Glory smiled at her new apprentice. "You can come with me whenever you wish," she said. "I will sort out a room for you. Bring any belongings you have, and don't worry any more about ponies being nasty. Nopony ever insults an Oracle or the apprentice of an Oracle; they never know when they might have need of my talent of prophecy."

Demence peeked through window after window, hoping to avoid being seen. Eventually, he looked into a room filled with ponies... Including the emperor. This could be either the perfect time to either become accepted, or be killed. Either way was going to be better then his current life. He climbed through the window and crashed to the ground. "Um... hi?"

@,

fire Slayer did not move from his chair nor flinch at a pony climbing through the window of the building he was in. Instead he levitated the pony by his neck over to him, not enough force to choke him but enough to restrain him. Fire then took another sip of tea and looked the pony in the eye.

"state your business trespassing here before I melt you. quite literally  at that."

(OOC: not to self: Stop writing "flame dancer" rather than "fire slayer".)

@,

"I'm... so sorry, emperor. I just..." He sighed. "I figured this would be a good time to ask to be... accepted. I've had to hide from everything because, you know, stripes." He was scared at this moment in time. He knew very well that if the emperor could kill him instantly at any time. "Last time I was in public was a few years ago. Many of the ponies threatened to kill me or worse. I request this could maybe... stop?"

@,

Fire Slayer sighed and put the pony down. "as willing as I am, I am not able to call an entire cities attention for one pony alone. It is also sheer fact I am unable to change the opinions of said citizens. I do however have a badge, which would show you can be trusted to do tasks for the hierarchy of ponies like myself. But that would require a long time physically training and showing that you can be honourd, therefore I cannot hep you in this situation."

Diamond sighed as ANOTHER pony came into her office...this time he came in through the window...and he wasn't really a pony. But...she was too polite to ask them all to leave, so she stood up and edged towards the door, wanting so badly to just leave...even if it was her 'private' office.

Glory stepped forward. "Forgive me for interrupting, Emperor," she said. "But I could offer the stranger refuge at the temple. Nopony is allowed to attack anypony who takes refuge there, and in any case, I would not allow such a thing to happen. That would at least give the stranger a safe place to rest up. As for changing the citizen's opinions, I fear such a thing will not happen for many years."

(Sorry for not responding for so long, I had to travel out of state for a funeral.)

Gladius sighed. This was just getting ridiculous. The next thing you know a manticore would probably come crashing through the ceiling or something.

@,

He turned to Diamond.

"Things are getting a bit... crowded in here, ma'am. By your leave, I think I'll just return to my post."

@@Pripyat Pony,

Demence looked up at the oracle in shock. "You would... allow that? But... I'm a zebra." He had somehow stumbled into what may have been the kindest group in all of Rome. "Thank you so much." He could never pay off his debt. He had to survive in the streets for so long, and now this pony was offering him a home.

@,

Diamond nodded. "I think i'll return to your post too." She said, looking around at all the ponies that had wondered into her study.

She looked away from the group to look at Gladius. "Remember when it was you Unholy and I drinking tea ?" She asked, jokingly.

She stepped out the door and was considering making her way to the library.

"Remember when it was you Unholy and I drinking tea ?"

"Barely. It seems like an eternity ago."

Gladius laughed, which was exceedingly rare for him.

"It was enjoyable, though. For a little while anyway, before it got insane. Anyway, I should probably head back to my post now."

On that note, Gladius turned and began to walk away.

Diamond nodded and waved goodbye at him as he trotted off to his post. "I'll...see you later." She said, smiling at him as he trotted off. She stood and watched him for a little longer than she usually would, but then quickly shook her head and walked down the hall towards the library.

Icicle had finally entered the streets of rome, looking for work he had heard that Rome was a good place to start, "maybe i should go to the palace? i might make a good body guard for some!" Icicle walked looking at all the sites and sounds, "Wow! Rome sure is large." Icicle couldn't help notice though that there were not a lot of ponies around, "aren't cities supposed to be filled with ponies?" Icicle thought to himself, something was wrong and he just couldn't put hie hoof on it.

Scroll was feeling more restored, and became increasingly curious about this gem.

"Perhaps there would be a book about this at the library? If this is from Britannia, they could have seized it from there. If those brutes know how to write, anyway."

He packed up his quill and ink in his pack, hung the gem around his neck, and grabbed his dagger. He always kept his dagger close by, both for menial tasks and, if necessary, self defense. He wasn't particularly violent, but Rome could be quite dangerous, especially in this crisis. He entered, and began to look through the books, trying to find anything of use.

@,

As Icicle planned he made his way to the royale palace where he saw that there was much more of a crowd, making his way to the royal palace door's he noticed the royale guards, or the lack there of. when he went inside he saw a huge crowd of ponies, walking he saw a guard, probably making his way to his post, going to the guard Icicle said "Hello there, my name is Icicle i am looking for the pony in charge if you know what i mean, do you know where i could find him?" Icicle seemed a tad suspicious seeing how no one knew him and he was armed down to the teeth with blades

@@jdor11,

Gladius eyed him curiously for a while before speaking.

"Well yes, I do, but right now I'm more concerned with why a random pony I don't know, who, based on his clothes, is in no way affiliated with the military or government, is walking around in the palace, armed to the teeth, without any sort of escort."

Gladius drew his sword.

"My point being, who the buck are you?"

"Figures, the only books this library has that might help at all are all unreadable." Scroll muttered to himself. "At least, unreadable to a speaker of a civilized language, this one doesn't even have letters!" It seemed as though Scroll would have to do this one on his own. He had a strange feeling that something much more important was going to come for him soon, however. But, for now there was noting to be done about it, and he simply flipped through some texts while he was here.

@,

"Now calm down my good fellow!" Icicle said with a big laugh, "My name is Icicle, i am only a lonely mercenary looking for work, i heard rome was the place to go! Now put your sword away before you poke some ponies eye out!" Icicle siad in a friendly tone, "besides i have better things to do then kill royalty! quite a waste if you ask me to go killing people for no reason!"

@@jdor11,

Gladius stepped closer and maintained his fighting stance.

"I'm hardly convinced. Besides, even if you don't mean any harm, I don't see how you have any right to be here. The emperor is far too busy to speak with every sellsword who sets foot in this city. So I suggest you leave."

Scroll took a glance out the window, an saw all sorts of ponies outside the palace.

"Must be some sort of event. Too bad I hate social gatherings, it seems like a large one." he thought. "That pony has quite the array of weaponry though, this could be entertaining."

Icicle frowned "So much for common curtsey." Icicle Wasn't to happy about being told to leave when he only just got there, "Oh come on! i'm sure he isn't as busy as you all say he is, that's what every pony always says!" Icicle tried to think of any excuse he could, "How 'bout this? you let me through and i'll buy you a drink?" Icicle was desperate, he did not cross one of the largest deserts on his own just to be kicked out like some common trash.

@@jdor11,

Gladius shook his head.

"Absolutely not. How about you come back when you actually have something to prove your value to the emperor? At the very least, you could make an appointment with an officer in the army or a member of the senate to discuss this, rather than just walking in and expecting me to let you see the emperor."

Diamond walked into the palace library and pulled a book from one of the shelves...but put it back moments later. "I'm in the mood for something exciting." She muttered, moving towards the adventure section and pulling out a think old dusty book with no cover, she sat down at a nearby desk, opened it up and began to read.

@,

"PROVE MY VALUE!" Icicle was furious if he had gotten any angrier he would have melted right there on the spot. "I Who crossed the largest dessert in the world on my own and was given medals for it need to PROVE MY VALUE!" Icicle wanted to get his blades out right there but he knew better, "Well fine then! if that's the way it is i will join you're military and i will climb through the ranks so fast that you will have to do what i say!" Icicle walked out angrily steam visible from above him, making his way to the requirement center he mumbled to him self, "I'll show that bloody guard who needs proving!"

Ashwing see nothing to stay for but wanted to find clues as he was ordered though he could not get one single clue of where or what this 'stone' he was looking for was, so he walked out seeing a pony with steam overhead and Gladius the guard again so he continued down to leave the palace to seek for this stone.
