I first heard Feather's cover on Celestia Radio a few weeks ago and was like, "OMG, this is amazing!!!"

 

I've been wanting to do my own cover of it ever since, and now... well... here it is! :)

 

 

(I'm very much interested in hearing thoughts and suggestions on how and what to do better! :)

Wonderful cover! I just love the melancholy tone and soft raspiness of your voice. I don't know if it's because of the reverb, but something's causing "mystical echoes" at the end of each verse that really work well with the song. tongue.png  

 

The only things I would suggest is try to avoid the "frying" sort of vocal around 2:42, but you should easy be able to fix that since you did just fine with the same line earlier in the song. Also, try to avoid "extra noises" like the one going on at around 1:25, but that's something that just happens while singing so no biggy. Excellent job!

I'll work on polishing this some more and hopefully have it better next week!

I've seen more of your stuff from Youtube and sweet Celestia, that voice! img-1276253-2-blink.png The level of control in your voice just amazes me even further, especially your cover of "I've Got To Find A Way". Beautiful.

 

I urge you to do more vocals, cause your voice is just too wonderful to pass up! MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN IN THIS COMMUNITY!

Yes you definitely are solid enough that you really could be well known as vocalist and as a musician with your flute work andf other atmospheric sounds on other tracks. Definitely keep at it and I'd be glad to help with any advice i can send your way.

The original songs from the show, (and the show in general,) have really inspired me, and I just want to do my best. :)

You know... for the longest time, I was terrified to have anyone hear me sing, (I had an ex who told me my voice hurt his ears... and I believed him).

 

I guess if there's any advice I can offer, it is to follow your heart, and to keep your heart and heart's desire safe as you follow it. :)

Hearing this cover actually prompted me to record my own, so thanks for that inspiration.

 

You have quite a lovely voice. I went and listened to your cover of "I've Got to Find a Way", and my ears are addicted to those high notes of yours. 

Also, for some indiscernible reason, I have this urge to hear you sing "It'll Be Ok" (from Friendship is Witchcraft). 

 

Anyway, keep on singing!

i love this song because it has a lot of work put into it and it has a good pase and the lyrics are too and this is better than the original

I'm very flattered -- I thought the original was sooo well done!  (I just sang what I felt Pinkie Pie would be feeling -- it was kind-of hard though, I had to do some re-takes 'cause I started crying.)

 

I actually have it uploaded already; I just took an inordinate amount of time before posting here in this thread.
