I actually took the time to try to see the sun get obscured. Even went as far as making a pinhole viewer out of a cereal box and foil.

No, I'm waaay too far from the path of totality.

I'm at a bit of a crisis, and it partly involves what to do with the scraps of old mod dev I have left. Can I salvage it all into my own game?

Grid-based games are good for being intuitive and simple, easy for people to understand.

Sometimes games can be a bit overwhelming.

Game modding was an ordeal to even think about; the final product is so satisfying, but good luck trying to mod with a team that has different ideas than you. How much more to a completely independently made game?

Though, I imagine starting with 2D would be the easiest route to go with because 2D, and it doesn't really help that I already have ideas on how to subdivide the world and it's based on three different games at once.

My mind is such a mess right now and given my past, my internal pendulum's gonna swing to some different interest within a month or two.
