Man, Sonic Generations comes out at the beginning of November. I have it preordered and I still don't have a job to pay for it. Imma have to go back to the Temp Agency to get some fast money to be able to buy that at launch. :(

Another Sonic fan here, sweet. Sonic Generations looks amazing, I sure hope the 3DS version is just as good as the console (I don't have a PS3 or XBOX).

Imma get it on PS3.

What kind of Sonic fan are you? New Sonic Fan? Old Sonic Fan? Likes a little bit of both? Likes everything Sonic?

I'm a "likes everything Sonic" type fan. Never not liked a single Sonic game. Some I like more than others but I'm certainly not typical in any way. I'm also a fan of the cartoons and comics.

Fanart is also awesome though.

I'm...a Sonic fanboy. Call me crazy if you must, I don't mind. :P

I've been playing Sonic games since I was 2, haha. I'm only into the games, not really a fan of the other stuff. I absolutely love the games, and I find myself playing the classic genesis ones all the time, which is why I really liked Sonic 4. I Almost felt like the old games. I didn't like the 3D ones until Colors came out, which is a fantastic game which I play almost once a week, haha.

A lot of the fanart is really cool too.

So does anyone here do programming (specifically, C++)? I've got some code that isn't working right and the server I usually go to for this stuff is down (I think the admin's finally installing our new server).

Columbus won. Although this battle probably isn't among my favorites.

Yeah, I've been playing them since I was like 6 or 7 and even though I like the Genesis games I've always been the type who likes the 3D ones more. I get a lot of flak for it but I understand it at the same time. For me, the way the 3D games present themselves to me is just spot on so I have a tendency to like them more.

Out of the Genesis ones, which is your favorite? I've always been partial to 2.

Definitely Sonic 2, No matter how many times I play it I never get tired of it, although I've never actually beaten it, heh. Stupid Wing Fortress Boss...

Which of the 3D games is your favorite? Mine's Sonic Colors.

I've only ever beaten it a few times myself, I love the game but by the time I get to Metropolis I usually give up or get bored. lol

I had to look it up cuz it's been a while but I hate that boss too. The flying platforms. >_<

I wanted Hilltop Zone to be in Sonic Generations but I don't think it is. (Trying to avoid seeing what all the stages are before the release but I know Casino Night is in it at least so that makes it pretty much impossible for Hilltop Zone.)

As for the 3D games...it's pretty hard to choose. I like Sonic Colors but after the initial playthrough it lost some of it's luster so it's definitely my favorite but it's up there.

I'd say Unleashed (Wii and PS3 are equal in my eyes, but for different reasons) or Heroes. So difficult to choose between those games.

I am a little curious, does anyone here play GoW3 or have xbox live? Plus to go on the convo going on above me, I never really got into Sonic games, they never really interested me, plus I never owned a dreamcast. I was always a pokemon kind of guy.

Off the (current) topic, but a buddy of mine showed me this earlier, and I got a good laugh out of it.

Beware of massive picture, and a little bit of naughty language.

The Chronicles of Bill Gates

Step 1. Build a computer empire

Step 2. Overwhelm your competition

Step 3. ????

Step 4. Profit!!!

But here's the rest of the story...

Step 5. Spend your earnings trying to redeem your public image

Step 6. Work around the world to make life better for people

Step 7. Your competitor dies a martyr, you still look like a greedy bourgeois

Step 8. Die in obscurity.

Nope. Finished SAT's months ago.

Seniors got a hot breakfast while the rest of the school worked.

Best thing about being a senior. Worst thing about being a senior is, of course, the senioritis. Especially when it sets in early.

And then I was failing calculus. Whoops!

I had a physics quiz, does that count?

Hint: I know it doesn't. But there are no big standardized tests like that here; the closest things are the province-wide public exams at the end of the year. And I don't even think I have any this year.

Best thing about being a senior.

Best thing about being a senior for me was having only two actual class periods.

Spent the rest of the periods doing TA work (one period in the TV studio, one with the IT coordinator fixing computers, and more often than not watching TV and playing emulated Super Nintendo games), and study hall. I don't even know how I managed the whole thing, considering I was a slacker of ridiculous proportions.

... only two years til my ten year anniversary. Jesus Christ, I'm getting old.

So I figured that even if I apply for financial aid at the community college I won't necessarily get it since the deadline for the paperwork is Saturday so I might as well just give up on Winter Quarter and just work on getting in on Spring Quarter instead since I can apply early for financial aid and hope to god that they accept my appeal. When I was there around three years ago I failed one quarter and dropped out of another so I'm not exactly on good status with them but hopefully if I explain things, how I have done a total 180 since then and actually want to be there this time, they may approve my FA status so I can apply for classes and start going to college for real.

Sounds familiar, I did pretty much the same thing when I got out of high school. Working full time for several years does wonders for hindsight, because looking back, homework really wasn't that horrible. I was just a lazy bastard.

It's quite scary how my thinking is exactly what you posted. LOL

I've only worked for ten months in the last few years but it was enough to make me not want to work fast food my whole life.

If they don't approve then there IS a way to reinstate my credibility by paying for it myself (assuming I can find a job) and applying for at least 6 credits worth of classes in one semester and getting at least a 2.0 in each class, then I can get FA from then on.

Let's hope they do approve though because $200 per class, not counting the $70-150 books, times two or three to get six credits...I won't be going back to college for quite a few years. And this is just a community college, there's a four-year that I wanna try to go to and I dunno how I'm gonna pay for that. Hopefully they have a FA system as well or scholarship or SOMETHING because quite honestly I won't be paying for college myself with any minimum wage job I can get with my crappy little GED.
