NMM is not a separate entity, nor an infection by Luna's alter ego

 

NMM is merely a name Luna picked when she decided to spread her anguish over the land. While she was much more aggressive under her mask, she was not being controlled by anything. NMM's actions were also Luna's actions, and she was completely aware on what retribution she might get from bringing the eternal night. And that's a risk she was totally willing to take.

 

Under the blast of the Elements, she was not purified as in "cleansed of evil" sense, but more like "reminded of value of true friendship and love"

 

She can and once more will be Nightmare Moon if the situation calls for it :V

Interesting view SW. I have something slightly different.

 

I think NMM is actually part of her personality. Like, something that is around there. Since Luna doesn't want that side of her to come out, she doesn't show her. However, when the necessity arises, she WILL call for Nightmare Moon when she feels like NMM could do it better than her. I'm not sure if NMM was actually born out of something else or not, but what I do know is that NMM is kind of like "the darkness inside her". In Luna Eclipsed, whether illusion or not, she showed she was capable of calling upon NMM. And by calling, I mean let that side of her take part in her persoanlity, like a combined force. Maybe, with Luna controlling herself, she will use the power of Nightmare Moon WITHOUT having to resort to anger or any other negative feeling. I wouldn't really know for sure. And this ideas are something that I put in touch over in my second fic.

I don't mind that, to be honest (but that's proably because I don't mind a lot of things.) Anyway, we still don't have a lot of backstory on Luna and/or Nightmare Moon. But if NMM is really a part of Luna, then it could make for some serious development...and episode. Something about learning to accept the darkness that resides in all of us. You might want to focus on how others see the death, not from the dying one him/herself

Eeyup, but I wouldn't take the guys from DHX, and the Hub for granted that easily. We just have to wait...and see how Luna develops.

It's the 'death' of the main character.

I want to bring it about as a death scene, but afterwards, I want him to wake up in a hospital.

Sometimes, the less details you have, the heavier the sadness is.

 

You might want to focus on how others see the death, not from the dying one him/herself

 

In the case of a screenplay, the more details you have about the death, the better. It makes it easier on the director.
