My skills system, or CORE, includes 4 basic skill groups; each group has four skills:

 

Combat - Archery, Magic, Weaponry, Armory

Oration - Charming, Persuasion, Intimidation, Deception

Resorcing - Smithing, Occultation, Herbalism, Alchemy

Exploring - Stealth, Wilderness, Streets, Dungeons.

 

 

 

Abilities are chosen by the player and character race, while skills are chosen by character background, (Apprenticeships, Occupations, etc.)

I've been messing around with RPG features and I came up with a RPG armor/weapon modifier system.

I've been trying to do that with mine, I'm actually working on that right now.

 

I've been thinking that one weapon would be strong against light armor, one would be strong against heavy armor, and one would be moderately good against both.
