I wish I could say the same, but sadly, this whole neighboorhood has been declining in the whole, decorating thing in general. I'll decorate my room for sure and the house will get some as well, but its nowhere near as much as I'd like. :/

Been drawing digitally on and off for nearly seven years and went through five or six distinct styles before settling on the Minispek style I got. First it was Microsoft Paint (Windows Vista edition), then it was Paint and Paint.NET, then Paint and Paint.NET and GIMP, then something happened that forced me to use Inkscape only, and went through a bunch of refinements to my pony drawing style until I went to minimalist and then to Minispek.

 

And I kinda wanna have it such that Gem and Nova's relationship is strained to the max and I have it such that Gem steals some of Nova's electronic journals, only to find that it contained hypersensitive information and, oh, by the way, I went through two different hard drive failures, which is why the stuff in this image is now just flat-out gone.

Lots. There was one old bank of images that was actually successfully salvaged during The Hard Drive Failure of 2010. It's just that The Great Hard Drive Failure of 2012 was the one that hit me hard. I've attempted to get it back several times, no luck.

 

My experience with drawing goes even farther back than that, but records of that are basically scarce or nonexistent now. I'm talking about from my elementary school days. I, oddly enough, did take an art class back in senior year of high school and I still have that one particular portfolio of art. It's just glommed together with some other storyline I was forming in my head and the portfolio was decorated with the flag I had in mind. I've since taken that flag and redesigned it to be simpler.

 

Gem's, uhh, she's a complicated little filly... I've rewritten her backstory so many times already... For the purposes of the Nanowrimo thing I'm writing, she feels that trust matters more than any lovebonds that would form in any familial pact, to the point where if one thing wrong happens, she will basically break whatever trustbond she has and effectively dump whoever is at that other end. The downside is this: what happens if she's on the receiving end of that dump? She effectively has nopony else to lean on; she thinks that everything she ever does falls onto her because she can't trust anypony else to help her out, and that there are very few others who would. Love and leisure don't fit into her mindset at all, and I've run out of words in the English language to keep explaining.
