" I agree with jester. It is pointless that we fight each other... But I guess old demons and egos hold sway over most in this party. We need to learn how to like each other and protecting each other's backs.... Except for jester, he's a freakin tank!" Kazas said jokingly. " but in all seriousness, I'm kinda sad that we all haven't gotten to know one another quite yet. Back in the old days, when the empire was still having it's civil war, we would get to know a new member that joined our platoon in one day. We'd ask questions about each other, eat food together, laugh together, drink together, you name it. We were all friends in our unit, and that's what made us solid. We'd promise each other that we would always have each other's backs... And even though it pains me to think of the valiant griffons we lost, we saved many more by sticking together. I want to get to know you all personally, if you'd permit it. That way, we can actually start liking each other and working as a team. No more of this working alone business. People get injured, or even die from working alone.

Kazas looked at Diego at called to him. " that means you too, Diego, come sit with us and eat!"

White Rose looked at Raze. "Oh... nothing really."

She's in love with you and won't admit it, even to herself, said Ixkom to Raze, in a taunting tone.

She growled quietly to herself. Be quiet.

See what I mean? She's just being a stubborn mule about admitting to it.

She sighed. "No, it's not that. It just that... you remind me of a bit of everyone in my family. My mom's curiosity. My dad's cockiness. My uncle's strength." She shook her head. "That's all..."

Also known as: she admires you. As the family she's never had.

Shut up.

All your negativity does is prove my point.

The Jester put his blades away. "Was that a complement I heard come out of your mouth, griffon?" he asked, jokingly. "I thought, in Soviet Kingdom, you don't give complements. Complements give YOU!!!" He burst out laughing. After he recovered, he sat up, grinning. "Yeah, yeah. No offense or anything," he said to Kazas. He looked over to Deigo, lurking alone. "Yeah! We're on this quest together! And you being negative and lonely only makes you look suspisios. We aren't going to suck out your blood or anything." He grinned. "Although in Soviet Kingdom-"

White Darkness poked his head out of his tent and glowered at him. "Enough of your jok-"

"And here's the stallion of the millisecond!" He pulled White out of his tent and sat him down next to him. "Now, you need some alcohol, some beans, some alcohol, some meat, some alcohol, some more beans, and yet more alcohol," he said, grinning as he piled up all this on his plate.

White scowled. "I ate about an hour ago. And I'm tired."

The Jester laughed. "So are all of us, laddie. Stay a while. Have some alcohol." He took out of one of the many pockets in his armor a large bottle of whiskey, topping off his and White's mugs. "Anyone else want some?"

Lost in his own thoughts, Diego was startled when he heard Kazas call out to him to ask him to join the group. Ask him? Ask the chaos mage who everypony hated and feared? He then heard Jester shout out to him as well, and sighed. He would have to go over now, or they would be yelling out to him all night. Diego wondered why they wanted somepony like him to inflict his presence on the group; they had made it quite plain before the journey even started what they thought of chaos mages like himself. He tucked the letters from Starfall away in his saddlebags for safe keeping before trotting over to the group around the camp fire.

He stood somewhat awkwardly on the fringe, still not sure as to whether they actually wanted him there or whether they were just doing what they thought was right. Diego was still far too used to being shunned by everypony around him, being denied company whether he wanted to be alone or not, and never being accepted. It was still too early for him to give up his habit of being solitary and paranoid.

Kazas rejoiced with his allies. " hey, we're a constitutional monarchy now. Gorven was the one who tried that soviet kingdom shit. Until I ran him through with my sword." Kazas was laughing and smiling." And alcohol! Hell yeah! Lets cut loose and have some fun for once. And yes jester, that's a compliment".

Kazas waved for Diego to come over. " come sit with us friend. you haven't need of being shy. Besides, I've looked after your lover and child for too long. The only repayment I ask is that you be social and have a drink. We're friends, you know."

Kazas smiled as flashbacks of old times during the war cane into mind. He remembered sitting and drinking with his father and his comrades, having a merry time and laughing to their hearts content. It seems as though those times were returning, and Kazas smiled. " man... Feels like old times. I haven't had fun like this in ages. You guys remind me of my old comrades..."

Kazas took a swig of the alcohol that jester offered him. " thanks friend. Be my drinking buddy from now on? And Diego, try this stuff! It's great!"

The Jester stared at him sidling closer to the group, then stop and look confused. "Hello, laddie. Yes, you're a chaos mage. Do we hate your occupation? Yes. But is it damn useful? It sure is. And do we hate you as a person? Well, I don't know. You haven't interacted with us enough for me to pass judgement. How about you come over here and change that?" He put a hoof around White Darkness. "Ain't that right, Whity?"

White Darkness scowled. "My name is not Whity."

"Oh, keep your hooves on, White Darkness."

"My name is not White Darkness, either."

"Really, dumbo? What is it, then?"

There was a flash of green fire, and then a changeling in a black, star-embedded, hooded cloak was where White Darkness was previously. "Lord Inquisitor Moon Crypt of Princess Luna's service."

Silence.

Then The Jester burst out laughing. So did Moon Crypt. "You got me!" The Jester cackled.

"I got you." he smiled. "And I'm here to talk to you about something, that needs to go to White Rose as soon as possib-"

White Darkness came stubling out of the tent, sleepily. "Hello all... Jester... Kazas... Animal... Inquis-" He woke up immediately. "Lord Inquisitor!" He started to bow, but Moon Crypt stopped him. "Hello, Mr. Darkness. I have something important to tell Mrs. White- that I trust that you will deliver it more effectively than my fellow here,"-at this the Jester scowled semi-darkly- "but she's talking to someone one on one, and I wish not to disturb her. Could you come with me, please...?"

He got up and walked into the forest. White Darkness nodded to the others, and walked off behind him.

The Jester slouched down as he left. "That was sudden and unexpected... Hey, Deigo, want some food or whiskey?"

"Both, I suppose," Diego replied. "I don't normally drink alcohol as a rule, for two reasons. Firstly, I hate to drink alone. It makes me feel depressed. The second..."

The unicorn hesitated for a moment, then decided that perhaps it was time to tell these ponies and griffon a few things about himself. After all, they were going to be sticking together for quite a long time, so he might as well tell them some things.

"The second reason," Diego continued, "Is cuz my mother, Shadow Star, drank a lot of alcohol. She never socialised with other mares, and kept away from other ponies as much as possible. This was cuz my father left when I was born. I never knew him and I don't know where he is now. The ponies of the town, after I got my cutie mark, used to whisper that my father had left when I was born cuz he could see the evil that was present within me. I asked my mother about that, but she refused to answer and cracked open another bottle of cider instead."

Diego levitated a glass of whiskey over to him and took a gulp. He immediately felt the kick as he did so.

" hmmmmmmm..... Your friend must be trying to find vaas" Kazas said to jester. " but it's probably best if we leave him alone for now. He needs time to think on things."

Kazas downed an entire glass in one gulp. " jester, another, if you are willing to share it. I don't want to impose. After all, that's your personal stash." Jester gave him another shot. An Idea formed in kazas's head. He grabbed his sword and it exhibited its aura. He put the tip into the alcohol and lit it on fire. He then took a big gulp and swallowed the flaming alcohol. " anyone else ever done a volcano shot? If not, anyone wanna try? I can light it for you if you want" Kazas said with a smile.

After he ingested the flaming whiskey, he leaned in and listened to Diego's story. Kazas became stone faced as he listened carefully. " none of its your fault, Diego. Just remember that you've got people who love you in the griffon empire.... I'm worried about vaas. I'm going to go in the direction I saw him last and try to find him and bring him back for a drink. hopefully he'll be settled down by now. Kazas walked over to his armor and chain ball. He donned his armor and hooked his chain ball to his waist. He put the sword in its scabbard. " I'll be back soon. Hopefully with vaas."

" jester!" Kazas yelled as he pulled out a small bag of silver. " consider this payment for your kindness. I'll be here soon enough."

When Kazas turned his back to his friends, his face completely changed into a serious expression. His sword eminated a firery glow, letting him see his way through the woods. " I may end up worse off doing this, but oh well. I gotta find vaas."

When Animal turned on his beacon all he saw in front of him while taking a piss was red. Not that kinda red I mean like there is a hostile kinda red. "Oh shit." Animal looks up and sees a 30 foot tall bear. "Shit I just pissed on a Ersa Minor." Animal then looks back down and sees 2 eyes open. "Great now I didn't just piss on him I pissed on his face." The Ersa roared at Animal making him piss himself even though he just pissed. "Wait til everyone at camp hears that I pissed on the face of an Ersa Minor. I am going to get punched so hard in the jaw." Animal then climbs up the nearest tree and starts freerunning back to camp. The Ersa was being slowed down by the trees that were blocking him, but was still going pretty fast. Animal's adrenal glands pumped out every last bit of adrenaline they had and it got him through the woods and back to camp. "Guys, I might have accidentally pissed on the face of an Ersa Minor. When I thought it was a rock. Now he himself is pissed literally and metaphorically." Animal then pulls out his bow and a couple shrapnel bolts. This ain't going to be a fun night."

@,

Vaas opened his eyes when he heard somepony talking to him. The barrier around him dropped and the fissure closed he look at the pony only to make it out as Seer, "Greetings Seer..." A shocked tone to his voice. "I'm fine for the moment. I just have a lot on my mind now." Picking up his scythe. "May I ask why you followed me out here, unless you plan on finishing me for yourself..." Gazing at Seer holding his scythe tight.

As he was speaking to Seer the spirits that vaas let out to spy for him stood behind watching Seer with a dark stare. Vaas held out his hoof, "No, I summoned you to spy not fight." The spirits nodded as the disappeared into the scythe. "So mage there is a reason your out here interrupting my meditation." His grip on his scythe tighten, and he seemed to be shaking a little.

There got to be more than one out here with him but where! I guess they are choosing to kill me now before I come more of a threat to them. I just want to rest...I'm done fighting today...even the dead need rest. Please mage don't end my life now. Wait he can read my mind...shit... He thought to himself before looking back at Seer.

Judith really was never a drinker, so she did not consume any of the alcohol that was brought to the little party. She mostly just watched as the other ponies and griffon made fools of themselves. In fact, she liked to observe the others having a good time. Its not like there are to many good times left in this dark plagued world.

She mainly stayed sober so that she could be at her best in case a unknown enemy decided to attack the group well their guard was down. Some of the group was more obnoxious than the others, she would often laugh at their antics. That was when she remembered that she had not seen Animal for a while. She longed to see her new friend and was quite worried since she had not seen him come back from the mission with Vaas.

Judith sighed and noticed that Kazas was yelling and stumbling into the woods in search of Vaas. She went after him.

Thinking to herself. This doesn't look good, I might as well go with him so we have some time to tlak and this way I can keep him safe if Vaas tries anything dangerous.

Judith cantered over to Kazas and said "Hey, mind if I tag along?"

Kazas had been walking in the woods for what seemed to him like hours. He had been looking for any sign of vaas. he was having no luck finding the pony. He wandered on a little more, eventually seeing what looked to be a light that was there for one second, and was gone the next. Judith came up to him and asked to tag along. He agreed to it. Kazas was slightly tipsy, but able to think clearly.

' I've found you, vaas... Now it's time to ask the question. Man... I'm wasted.' Kazas approached but stayed low to the underbrush of the woodland. He got near vaas and another pony. 'Wait.... That's seer... What's she doing here?' He thought. ' oh well. I'm not one to sneak like a petty cat burglar. Time to reveal myself.'

Kazas came out from behind the bushes. He saw that his presence, as well as seer's uneased him. Ignoring seer for now, Kazas engaged in conversation with vaas.

" vaas... I must know something. And be completely honest with me. Are you planning to bring back your loved ones with the spirits in your weapon along with the power of necromancy? If not, what exactly ate your reasons for being here? I need to know... Are you the same vaas that I consider friend, or are you not in control anymore. I didn't come to fight. Only to find out the truth."

@,

Vaas gazed at Seer waiting for her next move when a drunken Kazas wondered out of the bushes.

They sent a drunken fool to kill and seer...Why am I thinking to myself when she can read my thoughts! Fixing his gaze upon Kazas.

When Kazas asked him the question he was insulted by his words, "You think these are my reasons to be here?! I just want to bring back Winter?! I can't bring her soul back she is stuck as my weapon until the seal is broken...wait why am I explaining myself to a drunken fool?!" Remembering what Kazas said early about him. "Just go back to the camp and sleep." His grip on the scythe was growing even tighter as there was two of them. "I know I'm distrusted by this group, and I don't like being around ponies that will kill me if I make a mistake." Slowly backing away from both of them. His back touched the tree he was sitting under waiting to see what their next move was going to be. Vaas seemed more paranoid then before the flashback.

I know you can read my mind Seer, but if you wish to talk I would rather deal with only one of you instead of two...I don't know who I can trust anymore. My paranoia is getting the best of me right now...plus he is drunk and I don't know what he could do. I might have to kill him if he thinks about killing me first. Please Seer I need your help... He looked over to Seer with a panic in his eyes.

Judith let her presence be known to Vaas and Seer, as she stepped out from behind a tree. She revealed herself to them and stood about three feet away from Kazas. Judith was holding her javelin in hoof.

Judith then said to the stallions across from her. "Let's not do anything hasty now. Were just here to talk in peace. We do not want to start a fight."

Judith looked over at Kazas, who was still a little bit tipsy and realized that he had his senses still about him Judith gave him a quick nod.

Judith thought to herself while waiting for a response from Vaas and Seer. This could get ugly and ugly fast. They are obviously good fighters, and I have seen Vaas fight, but he wasn't using his full power. I have no idea what Seer is capable of, he must be pretty powerful as well, since Vaas was on his hooves when we got here. They both must be evaluating the situation, because they are also aware of what could go down. I really don't want to fight but if I have to I will.

Judith sighed and changed her stance, while still holding her weapon. She hoped that things wouldn't escalate.

Kazas threw up onto the ground. " sorry... Guess I can't hold my liquor. Heh *hic * but I still have a level head about me. You see, I was just going over the possibilities... I know that weapon of yours is dark... But it seems you have mastery over the beings in it, seeing as how I'm not cleaved in half... I guess I no longer have a reason to be on edge.... And next time, have your spirits be a little more discreet. Simorgh can sense them easily, you know. you've proven that me saving your life was no mistake, vaas. And I'm glad. I didn't want to hurt someone I like as a friend. I just had to be sure that you were still you, and that the events that I dreamed of while I was out cold would not come to pass... I maybe stumbling, but I have a clear mind vaas. I have no intent on harming you. You passed my final test. you have my blade to help you whenever you call upon it vaas... I knew you'd watch me as I unveiled the theory from my dreams. And I wanted to see if you'd kill me the first chance you'd get. You didn't. And don't worry. They weren't convinced by anything I said. After all, I told them that it was purely theory... I just had to come to prove myself wrong."

Kazas turned his back to seer and vaas. " I also came here to try and get you to be one of my drinking buddies... But then again, you don't seem to be the type that likes alcohol. I'm going back to camp... I'm wasted. sorry I doubted you. Can we still be friends?"

With this, Kazas headed back. " yo Judith! Come on. Vaas is cool! Lets get back to camp!"

"Is that right?" Raze said with a slight smile. He then heard the demon-- Ixkom, he thought his name was-- tell him... oh wow.

"Hmm..." he said, then saw White Rose's face: she was blushing AGAIN.

"You're doing it again, you know," Raze said with a short laugh. He moved a bit close to White, but not too close. "Sooo... which is it? Or is it both? Or should I not heed your demon's words at all, because he can't be trusted?"

He gave a slight sigh. He might have been taking it a bit too far, so he decided to tone it down a bit. Just a bit.

"You know... it's weird... I feel a bit more concerned for you than anypony else here. I don't know why, but it's just a feeling I guess. Since, you know, you're our leader and all..."

He felt himself blushing a bit too. Again?! Raze thought. Come on man, pull yourself together.

"I don't mean to intrude on your personal life, but what WAS your family like? Do I really remind you of them?"

He took it as a compliment, in a way. If he really reminded her of her own family, he was pretty curious as to how they really were, not just the parts of which he exemplified to White Rose.

Hey, he thought. She's right. I am very curious...

Diego didn't get drunk easily; one thing he'd inherited from his mother, he thought grimly. Where was she now? He didn't know. Probably still back in his hometown. It wouldn't bother her that nopony spoke to her, just as long as she had her cider with her. It was his father that he really wanted to know the whereabouts of, as well as speak to and find out the truth as to why he had left when his son was born. Somehow, Diego sensed instinctively that his father was involved in this whole necromancy business and it spooked him. He didn't want to have to kill his own father, but knew that if it came down to it, and there was no other choice, he could do so. But he wanted to speak with him before he died, if it came to that.

The chaos mage mentally checked the wards; they were sound. Of course, those who were outside them at this moment; Animal, Vaas and a couple of others would have to look out for themselves, but Diego wasn't worried about them. Animal and Vaas had proven themselves to be good at looking out for themselves and he couldn't take care of everypony.

Shadow Seer facehoofed. "You know what...? Kazas, you drunken po- griffon- go back to camp and drink some more. And Judith... please go as well." He glared at them, obviously irritated. "Unless I suddenly become posessed by a daemon, or he attacks me first, I will not be fighting him. I wish to talk to him in private. That is all." He then used a power that he hadn't used in years- telepathy- until they leaved.

Vaas... I come here not to kill you. Or to physically harm you in any way, shape or form. I only wish to help you...

He paused for a bit.

I have hunted- and destroyed- more evil spirits than I can remember. I can do something to help... that is, if you wish for help.

However, due to the... severity of this, I will have to let our leader-  White Rose- know if this spirit turns out to be something nastier that simply a bloodthirsty, mavolent spirit.

White sighed. "Um... I... actually try not to think of my family all that much..." She blushed and looked away. "It tends to make me upset..." She sighed. "However... my mom was an author. She wrote newspaper columns in Ponyville when she wasn't writing books... Some of my fondest memories are of her..." She exhaled heavily. "My dad... he was cocky. He was an opportunist. He was always coming up with some witty remark and all of that. Think of The Jester- only, less creepy and without the urge to destroy everything." She turned away and composed herself. Don't let yourself break down...

She took a deep breath and sighed. "Then... there is my uncle. He used to be a world champion of Kung Fu. He retired a few years back, and started up a school of self defense. He always was their to support me, giving me little bits of wisdom and making me laugh." She felt something nudge her feet... and found herself looking into a face. A face... with a puff behind it. "Hello, there, little one." she said, smiling to the little wild Fluffy pony, nudging her. She picked it up and stroked it repeatedly. It made a very interesting- and satisfied- sound.

"Then there was my mother. She was a newspaper columnist while waiting for her next idea for a book to come up. She kept everyone sane while going through my childhood..." She was on the verge of crying...

when she saw something out of the corner of her vision.

The Fluffy Pony saw it face first, and leaped out of her lap.

White Rose stood up and drew both of her blades. But when she turned to face it... it was gone... paranoid now, she turned and inspected the forest around her.

Nothing.

She sighed and sat back down. "Sorry... I'm just being paranoid. I thought I saw something."

The Jester was assisting anyone who wanted drink. He now had three bottles pulled out, and was refilling anyone who wanted it- or didn't want it. He didn't care.

Kazas yelled back at seer. " I'm not drunk, just a little tipsy. As you can see, I'm fully mentally coherent, as I didn't attack anyone, and I asked vaas what I needed to know. Mind your tongue seer. A little alcohol to relax a warrior never hurt. If I was really drunk, you'd know it by now."

Kazas wondered through the woods with Judith, slowly making his way back to the main encampment. He did stumble a couple of times, with Judith helping him along the way. " thanks... Guess I over did it tonight.... I haven't drank like that in ages. Guess my alcohol tolerance has suffered heavy blows."

As Judith and Kazas made their way back, they could see a faint glow in the distance. The sight of it was glorified in Kazas's tipsy head, for the only thing he could think of now was sleep. He walked to the edge of camp, only to be repulsed by the barrier. " Dammit! Who put this here?"

Kazas could see that the others were chuckling at him. " Diego, let us in! I need to sleep!"

Just then, Kazas saw animal running and he smacked into the barrier. He was yelling obscenities about how he had literally pissed on a dangerous animal that was now chasing him. Kazas then saw what it was.

" animal, what THE HELL?!? you pissed on an URSA?!? Great, he was pissed on, and now he's pissed off! Judith, ready yourself!"

Kazas charged in and his sword began to crackle with its familiar red aura. He slashed at it, leaving several nasty burns, searing its body and left it howling in pain. " Judith, get ready, it's really pissed now! Animal, put some arrows in its eyes, blind it!" Kazas kept slashing. The Ursa, now enraged, poured all of its strength into a bone crunching blow. Kazas blocked with his shield, but was sent crashing into a tree. Kazas got back up and limped on his sword, coughing up blood. " I'm too drunk for this shit" Kazas's adrenaline kicked in, and despite internal damage, charged back into the fight.

Judith was walking back with Kazas, when they heard the fowl language erupting from Animal's mouth. This was also, about when Kazas ran into the barrier. Judith had turned around to find that Animal had not been lying, and that made the situation all the more funny, since he actually peed on the Ursa Minor.

At that very moment Judith thought about the situation. Well this is going to be something. We just get back, and we have to fight this giant beast.

Calling over to Animal, she remarked-"Hey Animal, you really should watch your aim next time. I thought you were an archer." Judith giggled for the moment at the bathroom joke she had made, until she seen Kazas fly into a tree.

"Well, I guess I should finally get some action. Judith then pulled out one of her spears and was ready to attack. She made her way toward the Ursa Minor, who was distracted by Kazas. She caught it off guard by hitting it in the side of the head with wood part of the spear.

The Ursa took notice to the attack and tried to make an advance at Judith. His claws swung carelessly at her, and the fatal blows were easily dodged.

She pushed the non sharp end of the spear into the ground and catapulted herself into a tree, so she could take her aim. She then pulls out a javelin to throw, but instead, she waved the weapon around as a distraction for the bear, so that Animal could get a clear shot.

Diego looked up and saw the ruckus going on just outside the wards. He used his magic, his horn glowing, to open a door in the wards so that the others could get in. He stood in the doorway, sending bolts of magic towards the Ursa, to try and send it to sleep. Getting it mad was a bad idea and he couldn't understand why the others were attacking; surely any foal could see that?

He sipped again from the cup of whiskey. It was very good and he'd been needing this for some time. It was better too that he had joined the company around the camp fire. Since they were all on this mission together, it was better that he get to know them. Perhaps they too could see the pony behind the chaos mage, and maybe even learn not to hate chaos magic so much. After all, it had its uses.

Altho he certainly tried his best not to use it to kill after that terrible night. Better not to kill unless absolutely necessary, if it was need be to save another pony's life... if that was the case, then he would but wouldn't like it. Death was so final, after all.

Animal responded to Judith's bathroom joke with another witty comment. "Hey I have great aim because I pissed on his face didn't I? I thought that the reason you can tell that I did a great job at pissing on his face was why he is pissed the hell off right now. So technically I have unbelievably great accuracy when I piss off and on ponies/creatures in general."  Animal pulled out a shrapnel bolt and shot it at the beast and missed his eye, but got him in the star on the forehead. He fell straight to the ground. "Yea I got him." Animal hears the huge beast start to snore very loudly. "Shit, he is only sleeping. He must be bored or something. What am I not enough of a challenge for you Ursa? Is that why you're ignoring my attacks you asshole." Then he looks over and sees that Diego was using sleeping spells. "Oh that is what happened to the Ursa our bad ass mage put you back into your sleeping state. Good work Diego." Animal then walked over to Kazas. "Kazas are you okay? You hit that tree pretty damn hard. I hope you don't have splinters on your back or something." Animal got Kazas up to his feet and said. "Your not mad about me bringing the Ursa here are you?"

@,

Vaas heard Seer's offer for help, but he was shaking his head with doubt, "Seer I thank you for the offer, but I can't be saved from these spirits...the only thing you can do is keep me hidden from everyone." Holding up his scythe. "Right now you're the only one that has been friendly to me. Every other pony wants to fight me or is planning against me, so you can see why I don't trust anypony here.... except you..." Hiding his face as he spoke those words. "I don't say this often, but you have my blade if needed. I don't know why but you bring peace to me. This is strange because I haven't felt peace in along time." Gazing at her for a moment. Picking up the scythe and a rock striking the blade making a fire in front of him. "So Seer care to explain your past since you seen mine?" Looking deeply in the fire.

Something seems off about her...why is she trying to help me? No other pony would offer me a hoof they would rather strike me down. Seer is still a miserty to me...every other pony I figured out but Seer and jester, but I don't really care about figuring out Jester. Using spirits to block Seer from reading his mind.

Kazas replied. " no I'm not mad... IM FURIOUS." Kazas took a couple of steps to where he was behind animal. He then turned around and slapped animal right in the back of the head. " you idiot! You could have gotten yourself killed! Be more careful of where you choose to relieve yourself dammit! Everything is basically trying to kill us, you know!"

Kazas started walking toward the camp. He looked back. " look,.. That was uncalled for... I'm sorry. But seriously, next time, just go near the edge of camp to piss. That way, you don't end up pissing on and pissing off anything else. Now come with Judith and I and sit by the camp fire."

Kazas looked at the Ursa. " you're lucky Diego put you to sleep. I'd off you otherwise for trying to hurt my friend, you belligerant beast. But then again, let sleeping dogs lie, as the saying goes."

Kazas and the others returned to those around the camp. He sat by jester. " sorry friend, but after tonight's events, I'm swearing off alcohol. I realize that I always need to be at my best, or else I will be easily felled in battle. Also, good job Diego.., but next time..., no wards please" Kazas said with a laugh.

Kazas then grabbed at his right rib cage in pain, and coughed blood unto the ground. " heh... Anyone a doctor? I think I've got a broken rib."

Raze saw that she was a bit upset, and tried to comfort her as best as he could; putting a hoof around her.

"Sorry about that.... I didn't mean to make you upset," he said, feeling a bit embarassed.

Damn it, now look what you've done! he thought.

"Hey, but you HAD a family. That's more than I could ever ask for. I... never really knew mine. Sure, they were supporting, but at the same time... distant, and a bunch of shut-ins, from what I remember. Even now, we don't really talk much... but I guess that's both their faults and mine."

He looked at White.

"Now a family like yours... that's something I would do anything to have," he said, moving closer. "In fact, I'm a bit jealous of you."

Raze then realized he had wrapped his entire hoof around both White Rose's shoulders.

"Oh, sorry!" He quickly retracted his hoof, putting it around one shoulder again. "Again, didn't really mean to do that..."

Damn it, Raze! He thought to himself. Why do you gotta keep embarrassing yourself like that? First you make her upset by getting her to tell you something she doesn't want to tell, then you make unnecessary advances on her! You really need to get a grip, man! Get.... a... freaking... grip!

Shadow Seer smiled. "You do understand that I have dealt with worse spirits than this, and so those mindscreens aren't exactly effective? I wish to help you because that is what my organization does- we deal with evil in the form of spirits and demons from Tartarus, which I believe is exactly what this- or these- spirit or spirits are. And, perhaps, because although you have a blood-soaked history, I have none- that I can remember, anyways. I am a mystery to you because that is merely my personality- to be separate from everyone. And The Jester? If you fight with him, then you understand him. He really only cares about fighting and drinking. Oh, and bananas, of course." He smiled. "So... after all of this is done- or maybe before- I might be able to help you out with ridding yourself of your affliction." She held out a hoof. "What do you say?"

White Rose seemed a bit stunned when Raze out her hoof around her, and the look on her face when he realized that, and smiled a bit. She then put a hoof around Raze, while telling herself strictly not to cry in front of him... she could use some affection tonight. Heck, it was a lot more that she had gotten in years.

The Jester sighed and shook his head. "Come on... fine, griffon. If you are really serious." Still shaking his head, he took the remaining bottles and put them back in his armor. "That'll be for later. And then... more beans, anyone?" He then looked at Kazas and drew out a medpack. Murmuring about being wounded before the real show, he quickly set his ribs and bound it tight to prevent movement. "Sorry to say this, laddie, but combatwise, you're done for at least a few days."
