Awesome yet underrated musicians?

So yeah, what are your favorite, underrated artists, Brony or not?

One artist I enjoy is Starsmith. I found out about him while browsing Alan Braxe's songs on YouTube (Braxe owns the record label Vulture to which Starsmith is signed to) and he is just amazing!

My favorite song by him (and the first I listened to) is Champion. An absolutely beautiful song in its own right. GO LISTEN TO IT NAO.

One Hardcore band that I think deserves more popularity than they have is The Secret

Really good stuff

And also Rosetta are really deserving of more popularity, they're an amazing Post-Metal group, and they do great in live concerts from what I've been told.

One of my favorite underrated bands is The Heavy. They are a UK based group that combines elements of neo soul and indie rock to form a very powerful and unique style of music. If you have ever played Arkham City or Borderlands 2, you may recognize The Heavy for the song "

". Fun fact, The Heavy is the only band to date featured on the Late Show that was ever asked to perform an encore by David Letterman, twice on two separate occasions. Enjoy.

Gotta be Area 11. They are quite popular, but nowhere near enough.

Their music is a special kind of rock called Gaijin Rock, meaning foreigner rock in Japanese. This means that their music is a fusion of Western and Japanese features. Their music is heavily influenced by anime.

The Arctic Monkeys are  pretty big in the UK but not as well known on the US, would that count being underrated?

Either way they're a really good band, here's my two favorite songs from them.

Here's another good underratted group, The Real Tuesday Weld.

Their songs are just absolutely awesome, here's my two favorites.

Me and Mr. Wolf

Netsky deserves to be more popular than Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, Krewella, etc.

I the Mighty and Hands Like Houses are some very underrated post-hardcore bands.

Silverstein have been around for quite a while and they're still not as popular, I really don't know why though

I'm from the same city they're from! Kind of proud of that :D They are awesome but their newer music isn't as good as the earlier stuff.

Probably going to have to go with Bulb. Not so underrated anymore considering he created one of the most popular modern metal bands, but he's still relatively unknown. Fantastic guitarist and songwriter, and sure as hell can work a soundboard.

(Completely unrelated to MLP, this song came out years before FiM)

A band that is better known in England than anywhere else is the Pierces Sisters. They perform live at every show and play all the instruments in the song. They are super talented and need more recognition in USA! I would be first in line to see them in concert, their songs are just so darn catchy!

If you liked this one, check out Kill!Kill!Kill! or Boring. Those two are cute as well img-1369822-1-UNZJLhS.png

Me? :3

Actually there's a few. Especially the Green Ones is a band that I know personally as I go to high school with them, and they're really great. They have a few originals and do a lot of gigs. Also, a lot of people don't know about A41, a very indie band that I found on facebook.

A guy named Protector 101 who makes sort-of 80's techno music.

He made this awesome piece for Blade Runner.

Mark Lanegan.
He is CRIMINALLY underrated and it infuriates me to no end that people like him were left to the sidelines in the 90's while hacks like Nirvana stole the spotlight.

I have to put in a mention for Streetlight Manifesto. They're basically a punk/ska band, which sounds part punk rock and part jazz/blues. It's a really fascinating style with some GREAT songwriting behind it.

Well, The Heavy, God Is An Astronaut, Arctic Monkeys, and Protector 101 are all awesome musicians, but they've already been mentioned.

However, I do know a few others.

M83 is an amazing band, and you may know them for their song: Midnight City, or Wait, which was in the soundtrack for The Fault In Our Stars. They have so many good songs and albums; I'd recommend Hurry Up, We're Dreaming and Saturdays = Youth, but all their work is great.

Cherax Destructor is a great musician too. His stuff is more glitch-hop-y, but he has some great songs. I'd recommend the song: <3, and his album: Amity Lines.

Lights & Motion has some very good stuff too. If you're a fan of things like Hammock or God Is An Astronaut, than I'd highly recommend checking Lights & Motion out.

Anamanaguchi, Bombay Bicycle Club, Tycho, and Ramona Falls are all great musicians too.
