Soundgarden 2,756 June 6, 2013 Share June 6, 2013 Please die. Oh Dawn, you're killing me! Get it? Killing me...... I hate Avenged Sevenfold, but this guy is so elitist that it's not even funny at all, seriously though, and I don't know what's worse the comments or this guy. Nah, he's probably just a person who just recently heard of Korn or some shit like that and started to act like an elitist bastard I'm willing to bet everything I own that he got a Metallica shirt in his closet
Le Kvlt Dawn 2,363 June 6, 2013 Author Share June 6, 2013 You make RD sad Oh come on now, Dashey ain't into A7x. She's obviously a huge fan of Carcass of Eyehategod The video responses make a7x fans look like little douchebags, which kinda pisses me off. They give regular a7x fans like me a bad name. It makes people of both sides look bad, I'll leave it as that.
Black Licorice 58 June 6, 2013 Share June 6, 2013 Not a big A7X fan myself, only got Nightmare on my mp3. Don't really appeal to me at all, but then again, I have 69 (that's the actual number) Evanescence songs on there, so I shouldn't be complaining. Nightmare and their self titled album are the weakest AX7 albums in my opinion. You should listen to Waking the Fallen and City of Evil. Both are very much enjoyable
Woohoo 29,632 June 6, 2013 Share June 6, 2013 Hmm, actually I'm pretty sure it's the complete opposite. ...And Justice For All > Master of Puppets > Ride the Lightning > Kill Em' All Here is I would rank Metallica's first four albums Ride the Lightning>And Justice For All>Kill 'Em All>Master of Puppets MOP is sooooooo overrated
Black Licorice 58 June 6, 2013 Share June 6, 2013 Actually, Master of Puppets is absolutely TERRIBLE, definitely not Metallica's best song. I like the band and all, but that song I just can't like even if my life was on the line.
Moog the Kvlt 1,459 June 6, 2013 Share June 6, 2013 Radiohead is overrated. Radiohead had a few good songs, but weren't exactly good enough to be LEGENDS IMO. Radiohead were revolutionary, and one of the most outside-of-the-box bands that ever made it somewhere. Not only that they also were able to keep changing their styles and make those style changes on their albums to be solid, and a standout compared to the rest, there aren't really many bands that were able to do that. Listen to the entire Kid A album and then try to say that they aren't good enough to be legends. Anyways enough of angry Moog, have some of Moogy's unpopular opinions Nirvana are good, though they aren't the greatest Grunge band, I'd choose Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and Melvins over them anyday (sorry Dawn) Bands like Asking Alexandria and A7X aren't Emo, Screamo, or anything like that, listen to a proper Emo or Screamo band before saying that bands like these are those genres. Champion RD92 8,644 June 6, 2013 Share June 6, 2013 I think overall, I would rate Metallica's albums something like this: ...And Justice For All > Master of Puppets > Death Magnetic > Ride the Lightning/Black Album/Kill Em' All > Load/Reload/St. Anger Bands like Asking Alexandria and A7X aren't Emo, Screamo, or anything like that, listen to a proper Emo or Screamo band before saying that bands like these are those genres. Dude stop comparing Asking Alexandria to Avenged Sevenfold, a7x is so much better then AA. They don't even sound anything alike either.

Black Licorice 58 June 6, 2013 Share June 6, 2013 I've actually listened to Kid A... Radiohead wasn't revolutionary and this album completely tore me away from them. Not exactly a band that should be up there with Black Sabbath or Metallica by a LONGSHOT.

I said that they weren't Emo nor were they Screamo bands, that's all, I never said they were alike, I was just using them as examples as bands that people misinterpret as Screamo and Emo music. What about Soundgarden? :V Sorry bro, I was never able to get into them. Edited June 6, 2013 by Moog the Kitteh

Slayer were highly influencial towards the creation of; death metal, black metal (Mayhem sites them as an influence), melodic death metal, even grindcore and metalcore. So why does Metallica get more praize? Fight me, bitch.

So why does Metallica get more praise? Metallica get all the praise because well...they're a lot easier to listen to for most people, since not everyone likes to hear songs about hell, and Metallica aren't nearly as Extreme as Slayer are in more categories than just lyrics. Though anyways, I think that I'm the only person who thinks that Sepultura are the best Thrash band, and they're one of the few Thrash bands that I could listen to frequently.

In terms of extreme metal, we owe it all to Slayer (and Kreator, Venom and Sodom). Metallica is much easier to listen too i guess, TBA makes it obvious.
Kazuki Fuse 534 June 7, 2013 Share June 7, 2013 I think Wavves are one of the best bands to come out of the last five years. Indie surf rock, influenced by immaturity, ex-girlfriends and drugs. What's not to love?

Definitely getting that album in the next week or so along with a few others. I'll agree, Metallica is good, but too much attention to the max. King Crimson is entirely too forgotten. They deserve a lot more attention. Gangnam style is incredibly stupid, probably popular here, just not with the rest of the world. Although, I think it's no secret how incredible these bands are. In the Court of the Crimson King was such an important album for prog. Lol I love how one of the tags for this thread is butthurt.
