Nevermind is Nirvana's worst album. The cleaner and more polished production really nerfed some of the songs. I see it as more of a pop album than a grunge album.

I kind of agree. I love everything Nirvana has ever made, but Nevermind is the worst of the best in a sense :V

Many of the opinions here are disagreed with the majority of the people who has an opinion about the subject, or at least by the people who actually gives two shits about music in general and that isn't oblivious about it

Daft Punk's alright, I listened to all of Random Access memories and thought it was a decent album. It was nothing special but it was decent.

It's kind of catchy, but the lyrical themes and the instrumental parts are really done without any creativity in mind

They are only stupid to those people who generally don't care about the said genre.

 

Let's say a metalhead listened to two different sub-genres of House that sound similar, but still have enough differences to be considered two separate genres. That person would of course not hear a single difference, and would think that idea of having them in two genres is kind of stupid. However, that is completely opposite to House enthusiasts. It's difficult to say something like "These two genres are the same" if you haven't listened much to the said genre, you need a trained ear in order to make a statement such as that

I heard them on the radio the other day, and while I didn't think they were that great, they weren't completely terrible, but I don't really care for them at all. But that's just my opinion.

Music today is far better than it was the 70's.

There's plenty of good 80's music, it's just overshadowed by all the bad music from that decade.

I'm not a fan Cannibal Corpse with George Fischer.

Dubstep is dead. Completely and utterly dead in my opinion. The americans ruined it with their Brostep crap, overshadowing the genre which led to the downfall of several popular artists. Skream and Benga aren't even doing Dubstep anymore, Loafeh and Mala are just dicking around and the few Dubstep artists that remain doesn't get their music promoted properly (I'M LOOKING AT YOU TECTONIC RECORDINGS, PROMOTE AUTHOR PROPERLY YOU HALF DEAD FUCKERS)

 

All we have left are the artists on Chestplate and on Medi Muzik along with artists such as System, Contact, Kryptic Minds and Killawatt. Kaiju, Biome and Stenchman are going strong, but aren't that appealing. They need to step up their game

There are some modern alternative bands that I'll say are good like The Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkeys but I haven't heard many newer alternative bands worth my time.

Skrillex is a huge part to why it's dead, but I feel like the entire Dubstep industry shot itself in the foot by prioritizing the wrong albums to promote. There are like 5 thousand different labels, but around 90% of them don't have any interesting names and are just filled with mediocre artists. They are the idiots that gets the small amount of spotlight that still exists in the Dubstep scene, while great artists such as Icicle and Author who are the genres future imo, get no attention whatsoever.

KoL are pretty lame, and then you have stuff like fun. and crappy "emo" bands like Paramore. This is making want to listen to Yo La Tengo and Dinosaur Jr.. At least Radiohead and NIN are still around.
