Well I read your blog and you bring up some good points. Now I still think Luna was taken over by a dark force and was turned into Nightmare Moon, but your 2 ideas of being an outcast and living her sister shadow might have been how the darkness toke her over. The only thing I don't agree with is that other ponies already turned Lune into the Boogieman before she became Nightmare Moon. That probably came when she turned into Nightmare Moon.

I think your ideas are spot on and I especially like how you pointed to show canon to support them. Luna is a fascinating and tragic figure and I really hope we learn more about her. One thing though. Twilight seemed to actively discourage friendship while I'm guessing Luna hungered for it but wasn't able to make it happen.
