It's been a staple of Anime for long enough, no? Take characters who are sickeningly cute in both appearance and personality, and drop them into bloody warzones where they hack everything to pieces?

Clearly this type of thing is marketable.

Also, Fallout:Equestria, which is now a completely legal parody I.P. registered with the U.S. Copyright office.
