So Harley Quinn is NOT the villain?

I actually read a sample of Batman Metal, where Batman is going mad and seemingly Harley Quinn is helping him or something. Or was it Superman and Injustice 2? IDR.

Thelma & Louise (1991) - A funny, dramatic, and moving film with great performances from Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon as well as masterful directing by Ridley Scott.

Nope. I guess they are trying to market her as an Anti-Hero.

I recently watched all 4 Bionicle Movies in a row and i was actually surprised how much i enjoyed them, despite having no nostalgia for them.

The first Movie " The Mask of Light " was kinda meh, i didnt care all to much for the characters sadly, it was good, just a bit boring towards the end. I find it weird that for some reason they decided that the fight against the Antagonist should Play out in a Sports game instead of an actual fight. Then they did a lot of cheap and chliche fake deaths and in the end i didnt care for it all to much. It is predictable and Nothing special for me sadly.

Bionicle 2 on the other Hand was very enjoyable, i cared for the characters, the Animation improved and there were some actual fight Scenes and even a kinda good plot Twist. I was surprised how much i enjoyed this movie, it was great.

Bionicle 3 was even better, it had more interesting Villains and more interesting Settings and i once again enjoyed all the way trough.

Bionicle - The Legend Reborn was also really good, Also the Soundtracks improved with each movie and i am surprised by the high amount of cool rock Songs they use during the credits. This sorta reboot/Sequel had once again good fight Scenes and great Animation. The Story was left unfinished since they planned to do 2 more films, but the toyline got seemingly discontinued and plans for further Movies got cancelled. But it was still enjoyable.

All in all i was positively surprised. Well apart from the first movie.

Southpaw.

Hardly an original boxing movie, but rather entertaining nevertheless. Though ending could have been predicted from the very start, movie still had me sitting on the edge of my seat. Soundtrack was great, excellent workout music!

One of Antoine Fuqua's more underrated films.

Well, sort of? The dub that aired on TV here was censored in several places. This was the original presentation of the movie on DVD. I probably should have worded it better ^-^;

I rewatched Starship Troopers. Still a hilarious, action-packed, and surprisingly deep film. Highly recommend it.

Furie, a Vietnamese action film. Was actually a pleasant surprise. It wasn't quite what I expected and the beginning has to get through some hoops to get the ball rolling but once it did I was into it. It became quite the ride with some really good fight scenes and it was fascinating to get a dive into Vietnamese culture. It had a couple of emotional moments that seem basic on paper but were quite effective in practice. I liked it a lot.

Also seen 1917 before that and it is a masterpiece of film. The camerawork is something I've personally never seen in a movie before and it was breathtaking. It puts you right alongside the main characters and it creates a surreal experience that I've never had with a movie until now. In particular, because of the incredible camerawork and atmosphere, there is a part early on that shook me to my core and I will never forget that. Absolutely watch this movie if it catches your interest.

Michael J. Fox's "Milo Thatch" was the only character that I enjoyed in Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

Anyway,

The Parent Trap (1998) 10/10

Universal Soldier: Regeneration

Wasn't impressed. I watched this out of the blue without knowing about the series at all: It felt dull for the most of the time - And the dialogues...which dialogues? It was just brainless action, and was boring to watch. Not recommending.

Toolbox Murders

220px-Toolbox_Murders,_2004_poster.jpg

It started with some cool mystery stuff going on, sounds from within the house, tenants disappearing, that stuff. I wish that side would have been used further, that was like the typical psycho thriller. At the second half it transformed into the typical horror/slaughter movie mostly, with the killer being made up seemingly pretty sudden without previous showing really. And if I got it correctly, which I am not even sure of, the killer was not who I assumed he would be, despite that character would be quite fitting for it, I guess. Maybe too fitting.

I still enjoyed this one, and way more than the other.

Kingdom of Heaven (The Director's Cut): Miles better than the theatrical version. Full of depth and nuance and fixes most of the issues that the original had.

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween

It was okay. Definitely some creepy parts. the first movie was much better, though.
