If you're a fan of the books then there will beA LOT of things that will irk you, and even one or two if you just know some mythos. But other than that, I enjoyed it. It was pretty hard to actually believe that it was "a true story" what with all the silly moments and horror cliches it had. It was Castaway X Forest Gump on a bloated special effects budget. I'm quite certain the story could have been positively brilliant if it hadn't been so overshadowed by the effects. When I firsy heard about I though it would be lack-luster but I am so glad it is not. The characters, story, songs, and animation are all fantastic. Rapunzel = Best Diseny Princess. I may be a guy but I think the princesses are all terrific woman role models young girls can look up to (although some are rather dated and do not match with what their potential could be today).
