Prospekt 10,954
9 to 5 (1980) A story about three women working in an office for a big corporation. Hilarious movie. Dated in some ways and slow early on. But Lily Tomlin really steals the show.
TheAnimationFanatic 3,497
Prey (2022): By far the best Predator movie since Predators (2010). An exciting back to basics thriller with great Native American representation to boot. 9 out of 10. Bullet Train: Overstuffed and manic, but still fun action movie. Feels like an imitation of a Guy Ritchie movie with all the violence and snappy dialogue. 8 out of 10.
Ryenol 20
Just finished watching Avengers, I decided to rewatch all the Marvel movies again. Not so long ago I installed Firestick https://www.firesticktricks.com/install-kodi-on-firestick.html and it became much more convenient to watch anything on TV. Watching a movie in the evening is kind of my own tradition. Edited August 10, 2022 by Ryenol

Concerned Bystander 2,856
Waterworld. This is a film that I've always though was unfairly maligned. I have heard previously that much of the trend of crapping on this film came from Hollywood not appreciating the fact that Kevin Costner apparently didn't play by the rules (whatever that means) when producing some of his films, like this one, Dances With Wolves and others. Whatever industry politics may have been going on the background, the film itself is a perfectly serviceable post apocalyptic action flick that can probably be described as Mad Max with a boat. Props Valroa 22,526
I recently watched the movie 'Prey'. I loved it because of the Comanche Representation and the general feeling compared to the other movies in the franchise.
Dreambiscuit 6,704
Oscar (1991) This is a serious sleeper. I don’t think many people acknowledged it even when it was released in ’91. This is from when Sylvester Stallone was apparently trying to diversify his image, and the only departure role of that kind that actually worked. This is a solid, funny, smart screwball comedy with a great cast, and one of Tim Curry’s best performances ever. Osmosis Jones (2001) I haven’t watched this one in a while but it held up great. Funny and really well animated, while the live action parts delivered as well. I don’t recommend watching this one when you’re sick (tried that once and it didn’t go well), but otherwise, a good solid movie. Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005) I’ve seen this movie well over a hundred times but for some reason it hit me like a sledge hammer and blew me away like it was my first viewing. It really reminded me how great this movie is, and why it will always have a secure place among my all-time favorites.

Also, Osmosis Jones is a childhood classic for me. I think we watched that movie three different times at school, lol. As for me, the most recent movie I saw was The Wrong Man in my ongoing Hitchcock marathon.

Megas 25,941
I've been in a bit of a Dragon Ball kick coming into the release of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero(goddamn what a name lol). After watching it, yeah Imma be staying on that train for a while longer. Gohan, Piccolo and Pan are great, the new characters such as the Gammas and Dr Hedo are fantastic, animation and fights are great, humor is on point. I loved it so much I had to go watch it a second time. Highly recommend especially if you're a Gohan or Piccolo fan
They call me Loyalty 1,806
MAD GOD. The film is about the God of Old Testament/Torah, YHWH, and the hypothetical scenario that it is real and how it is his world. It is a damn masterpiece, is what it is. So dense, yet so vague. It is a movie that will look like nonsensical drible to the uneducated or shallow mind. But it is a treasure trove of symbolism for the one with understanding. (360 characters. We end where it began.)

Dreambiscuit 6,704
(Spoilers ahead) Samaritan (2022). Sylvester Stallone trying his hand as a super hero, sure, why not? This is pretty gritty and not your typical special effects-fest churned out by the Disney/Marvel machine. Sometimes it goes too far and at other time not far enough. When Stallone summons up that classic Roman fury of his, I want to see him go Rambo on the badguys, no holds barred. He does a decent job, even though I could see a couple of tweaks that might improve it. Overall, I liked it. Nope (2022). An interesting sci-fi thriller with some creepy moments. It may not have been brilliant, but it got the job done and held my interest. The cast had some offbeat personalities; Daniel Kaluuya was a block of wood and I’m not sure if that was deliberate or not; Keke Palmer brought in all the personality that her onscreen brother did not. And the peripheral cast held the rest of it together pretty well. Interestingly, the scariest parts of this movie weren’t about the antagonist at all. But I’ll leave it at that. Me Time (2022). You’d think something as simple as this slice of life comedy would be easy to pull off. But no, they had to run it through the boardroom of Hollywood morons who padded it with every degenerate woke cliché they could churn out of their fevered little brains. As a result, the movie lagged, lost ground to another pointless distraction every few minutes, and of course, didn’t omit the obligatory speech spelling out the message of the movie for the cheap seats (all encapsulated in a nice looooong soliloquy guaranteed to put an insomniac to sleep). I thought this would be a no brainer for an entertaining movie, but only the ‘no brain’ part actually applied.
