Soundgarden 2,756 July 4, 2013 Share July 4, 2013 This thread got revived.... again I'll nominate "Hospice" by The Antlers, it's quite emotional, though one could argue about it being hipster garbage *shrugs*
Treeboy 418 July 4, 2013 Share July 4, 2013 I'll nominate my favorite funk album, Herbie Hancock's "Head Hunters." This album is a sinister and brooding piece of groove-heavy and badass music from one of the greatest pianists and keyboard players in jazz. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPdPK_rIseY
Soundgarden 2,756 July 7, 2013 Share July 7, 2013 Oh right, I forgot about this thread :/ I'll nominate "The Richest Man in Babylon" by Thievery Corporation. A great mix of Downtempo, Ambient Dub, Dub and Lounge
Kazuki Fuse 534 July 7, 2013 Share July 7, 2013 'The Fragile' by Nine Inch Nails. I'm a sucker for double albums, and this contains some of Trent's best track imo (The Day The World Went Away, Somewhat Damaged, Into the Void).

Moog the Kvlt 1,459 July 7, 2013 Share July 7, 2013 unlike this year.... Are you kidding me? There's some awesome stuff in 2013 'The Fragile' by Nine Inch Nails. I'm a sucker for double albums, and this contains some of Trent's best track imo (The Day The World Went Away, Somewhat Damaged, Into the Void). Definitely agreeing with you there, The Fragile is one of my favorite NIN albums right next to The Downward Spiral Nominating Nowhere by Ride, it's a pretty good shoegaze album that I've recently listened to. Soundgarden 2,756 July 7, 2013 Share July 7, 2013 Are you kidding me? There's some awesome stuff in 2013 I forgot to mention that I meant Dubstep, not music in general. The album I nominated was a Dubstep album from 2011, so that was the point I was trying to get to: 2011 was a great year for Dubstep, 2013 is not I'll nominate "Laughing Stock" by Talk Talk
Woohoo 29,632 July 7, 2013 Share July 7, 2013 It's been how long since I've posted here!?!? Anyway, since Pantera's "Cowboys from Hell" has already been nominated, I'm gonna nominate their next album "Vulgar Display of Power"

Soundgarden 2,756 July 9, 2013 Share July 9, 2013 (edited) We don't have enough Hip Hop on that list, so I'll nominate Notorious B.I.G's classic "Ready to Die". I'll seriously never get tired of that album Edited July 9, 2013 by Erio Touwa
Treeboy 418 July 9, 2013 Share July 9, 2013 I'll nominate Roland Kirk's opus, "The Inflated Tear." This album demonstrates the ability that Kirk had in a really fun and enjoyable way. He makes me want to learn how to circular breathe and play multiple saxophones at once.
Soundgarden 2,756 July 9, 2013 Share July 9, 2013 (edited) Overgrown is already on the list, so lets add James Blake's self titled debut album. Why it took me so long to nominate it is beyond me Edited July 9, 2013 by Erio Touwa
Appetite4Democracy 450 July 9, 2013 Share July 9, 2013 We need some Hank Green I'm gonna nominate Ellen Hardcastle by Hank Green. Not to be confused with Hank Green by Ellen Hardcastle.
Soundgarden 2,756 July 10, 2013 Share July 10, 2013 Crap, I just realized Bob Marley's compilation album "Legends" isn't on that list. It's personally the most nostalgic album I know of
Le Kvlt Dawn 2,363 July 13, 2013 Author Share July 13, 2013 Thread revival time, again. WOO! I'm going to nominate Pulver by Lifelover, it's an album that took me by surprise. I was not expecting it to be that good.

Righteous Fury 344 July 13, 2013 Share July 13, 2013 Nominate Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits, it's simply criminal that you don't have any Knopfler on there! Come on. Money for Nothing, anyone? Walk of Life? Damn good album, get it if you don't have it.
--Eve-- 351 July 13, 2013 Share July 13, 2013 Wow, up to 23 pages. I nominate Jeopardy by the sound. I was originally going to nominate RAM by Daft Punk but it has been already.
CamRad18 337 July 13, 2013 Share July 13, 2013 For Lack of a Better Name by Deadmau5. "Strobe" is a nigh perfect example of EDM, in my opinion. ...or is the Deadmau5 hate train still rolling?
Le Kvlt Dawn 2,363 July 13, 2013 Author Share July 13, 2013 RAM by Daft Punk What is it about RAM that makes people go crazy over it? I listened to the whole thing and I thought it was decent but far from something godly. For Lack of a Better Name by Deadmau5. "Strobe" is a nigh perfect example of EDM, in my opinion. ...or is the Deadmau5 hate train still rolling? I'm more of an IDM person, although I haven't listened to that much electronic music in general.
Soundgarden 2,756 July 13, 2013 Share July 13, 2013 (edited) I've lost count of how many times this thread has been revived... I'll nominate "Destroy, Erase, Improve" by Meshuggah. Great Prog stuff Edited July 13, 2013 by Erio Touwa
NothingIsEverything 1,231 July 13, 2013 Share July 13, 2013 "Descend into Depravity" by Dying Fetus. I have a lot of DF albums to nominate, but this will do for now. I think almost all of their albums a great, with the execption of their earlier stuff
Soundgarden 2,756 July 13, 2013 Share July 13, 2013 Wait, I haven't nominated "Glyphic" by Boxcutter yet? Strange, I had a feeling that I already did.... And by the way Dawn, you have listed Swans's "Soundtrack for the Blind" twice.
--Eve-- 351 July 14, 2013 Share July 14, 2013 What is it about RAM that makes people go crazy over it? I listened to the whole thing and I thought it was decent but far from something godly. I'm more of an IDM person, although I haven't listened to that much electronic music in general. Honestly, the main reason I was going to nominate that was because I thought others would know it, unlike The Sound. I also really like some of the songs on the album, specifically this and this. However, I would still rather listen to Jeopardy than this album.
