Thoughts on them? I am curious what you think of them.

 

Personally i was one 2 years ago but stopped in June 2011 and became a brony cause they grossed me out, started hating all of them on sight for quite some time (maybe like 5 months). Later (November 2011) i stopped hating them on sight like that, i felt it was pointless and sad to pre-judge them. Especially since i still find joy in their art and fursuiting. I don't know what drove me to hate furries, bad experience? peer pressure? idk why i did

 

i was never an over the top furry, as the brony fandom i see it as an interest/hobby not a lifestyle, but i somewhat understand others for seeing fandoms as lifestyles.

 

I don't hate furries anymore i understand there are weird ones such as in the brony fandom, but (personally) i think it is wrong to pre-judge someone for being in a fandom. I can dislike certain individuals or organized groups but not scattered fandoms with different minds.

Anyways, I myself am a furry, but not as big as one then what I was years ago. But I frequently check some furry sites/forums and look at the cool art some artists post. But I don't do many roleplays based around them like I used to, I'm really lazy on that kind of stuff.

 

But yea, I have no issue with furries, I see it as a lifestyle/preference kind of thing.

I think furry's are fine, if someone enjoys dressing up as an animal let them do it, why hate on them because its what they like to do.

If more people had that mindset, just because one brony/furry does something doesn't mean ALL of them are going to do that and even if they do, are they harming you or anyone?

 

If you find porn in the internet, you can ignore it or enjoy it, because getting rid of it is almost impossible.

 

I am furry (IE I have an interest in anthropomorphic art and have a Fursona) and a Brony (I enjoy MLP:FiM show and have a ponysona)

what extent I go into these interests is my personal businesses... I don't bring up NSFW, but I don't shun it either.

Honestly, it doesn't matter what you are into. As long as you keep it to yourself, and don't harm anyone. Telling everyone that you changed your ways isn't necessary. Just change for the better, and we will all benefit.

I used to like furries.

I mean, I used to be a furry~ until the fandom became very strange. It became more of a fetish-sort of thing, more sex surrounded, rather than a fun thing to be apart of, at least in my furry group, it became that way. e x e;

 

If It went back to the old days of furries, I'd like to join again. D8

I consider myself a furry simply because I like the artstyle. You can see that by my avatar and, for instance, any anime-drawn cat girl would probably grab my attention. I don't have any kind of nasty and/or dirty sexual desires though... For me, it's simply interesting to see the results of adding animal aspects to humans, and vice-versa.

 

The furry fandom is just like the brony fandom (and most of the fandoms out there): It has its good part, and its bad part. So you can't really judge it as a whole.

I'm fine with a few of them, Because some of them are actually friends of mine, I just really don't like 70% of furries, They are creepy, I mean really, Fur suits? Fetishes for cartoon characters? I've seen one of them have a obsession for Scooby Doo and he had merch and somethings that you wouldn't even wanna know, I mean, That's why I don't like how people consider ''bronies more losers then furries'', Furries are sexually attracted to other cartoons other then MLP, They'll have a fetish for Sesame Street, Care Bears, Disney cartoons, Anything that's a cat, dog, lion, bear, cow, horse, ect. I've met lots of furries (even in RL) and most of them are normal, intelligent and nice people, ussualy even more so then those who judge and abuse them.

There's a thread about this every single day. Can we just get over the fact that Furries and Bronies are different and that people have contrasting views on whether they like/dislike the fandom. We get NOWHERE with these new threads, all we get is a reoccurrence of the same arguments, the same debates and we end up in the same place. It's ridiculous.

Meep just beat me to what I was going to say. Why don't people use the SEARCH FUNCTION before posting a thread. Obviously this thread has been created after seeing the thread that was lurking around yesterday. There's like what, 9 or so threads now? Why don't people just read through other peoples replies for the opinions instead of just posting another thread and getting people posting the same thing, over and over. It's pointless...

 

Or, can't Mods just merge like, all the similar furry threads into one? Pin it maybe? :I It's really annoying seeing shit about a completely different fandom on a PONY forum.

Why don't you use the search function in future instead of posting yet another repeating topic on a fandom that has nothing to do with ponies? There's like 9 threads of something now. Everyone just posts basically the same reply over and over.

 

I think it would be a good idea if the mods merged all the threads into just one single debate/opinion thread or whatever. It's getting annoying, and boring seeing the same posts and topics over and over... even more so when they have nothing to do with what the forum is supposed to be for. y'know, MLP?

What furry artists do you follow? (Like on Deviantart, Furaffinity, Tumblr, etc.)

 

On DA, none. Considered FurAffinity, but I've not heard the greatest things about it. Tumblr... just started using tumblr.

Musically, I follow... Eh, pretty much everything on Vulpvibe/LapFox aside from Negaren and Jackal Queenston... which would be Renard, Mayhem, Furries in A Blender... and most stuff on Mungyodance is pretty good. (I blame Viscra for piquing my curiosity on all of this)

 

What furry series do you follow? (Webcomics? TV? Fictions?)

 

Holy crap, those actually EXIST? I've not seen furry webcomics or such so far. I didn't even know there WAS such a thing as furry TV! Closest I ever got was watching conventions or real life furries on Youtube.

 

What's your favorite type of furry? (Mammal? Reptile? Avian?)

 

Back when I was more on the scaley side, it was reptile. Mammal seems to interest me the most (Covering foxes and wolves alone gets my vote).

 

Do you like when non-anthropomorphic characters are turned into furries? (No right or wrong answer here!)

I just saw this thread decided it would be a good place to properly ask. What are furries fans of? Usually fandoms are associated with one thing and one thing only. But furries will like anything related to anthro animals. Not trying to offend any furries with this. But I really want to know this. What things are furries into? I mean, is it ANYTHING anthro related regardless of the quality? Again, I am not trying to offend any furries, I just want to know since I have never really come in contact with or met any furries.
