^ Here's my FurAffinity account.

I follow a very wide range of artists, everything from feve to Rainbowscreen, to my favourite KitKatChunKiss and a very good friend of mine.

Been active in the fandom since April-ish 2016 and have met quite a few people since then.

I don't really follow any series, shows, Youtubers or people. Not into the whole "popufur" shtick as I find a decent amount of them insufferable, for a lack of a better word.

What furry artists do you follow?
A whole bunch! One of my furry friends is Shenanigan, who worked on a couple of cool cartoons. :D

What furry series do you follow?
Not much, strangely.

What's your favorite type of furry?
I love all anthropomorphic creatures, but especially canines and felines.

Do you like when non-anthropomorphic characters are turned into furries?
I think it's neat. Drawing an anthro design of a feral character is good concept/character design exercise. :darling:

What is your opinion on the notion that bronies and furries are one and the same?
It depends. Yes, there are some fans who find ponies cute, but there's a difference between a normal furry and someone who's into bestiality. :mlp_gag:

What do you think of anthropomorphic versions of MLP characters?
The same as my answer 2 questions ago. :muffins:

I am not a furry. I am trying to figure out what being a furry means, and if furries prefer anthropomorphic animals over humans, etc?

Don't stare into the abyss for too long, or you'll end up with an inflatation and diapers fetish. :maud:

I have a difficult time watching the movie Space Jam, as well as Sonic SatAM. Difficult means I am noticing things that is difficult to not notice. Does that make me a furry? Just wondering? :o

Keep it together, soldier. Don't give into their oversexualized animals.

I don't mean it that way.

It is not them against me. I am interested in character design, and there is lots to be learned from this, how people see certain things.

Of course I cannot just become interested in fetishes such as diaper wearing, feet and toes, or pregnant bellies. But I can somewhat respect people for liking odd things, because I like odd things too!

Designwise, is ok. I mean, after all, is nothing but art (as for space jam and sonic sotm).

Honestly, there are many artistic choices interesting on anthro art. And liking some anthro doesn't make you a furry.

Remember, while all furry is anthro, not all anthro is furry.

Tbh, I wouldn't have become a brony without furries, or at least a specific journal post by one of them linking to a video (which was either made private or taken down quite a while ago) that lead me to discover FIM back in 2011. Imo, they're pretty cool, even though I personally wouldn't call myself one.

Ha. I had the latter before I stared into the abyss and have never gained the former while continuously staring into the abyss. :P Viewing a certain image/images related to a specific thing, does not mean you'll end up liking that specific thing. :crackle:

What's up with furries and diapers? :sunbutt:

Also, what I meant by "staring into the abyss" is hanging with that fandom rather than just looking at their fetish art.

Most furries are probably okay people. First time I came across furries was in 2005/06 when I googled swat kats and if you might have guessed I got furry porn/yiff when clicked on the pictures tab. I was what the fuck is this? I wasn't even aware that porn based on children's cartoons existed.

I do have somewhat of an issue with otherkin people. I can't even understand how people can actually believe that they are dragons, werewolves, werecats...etc. Yeah I have seen people go into details explaning how and why they aren't humans but actually mythical creatures. I don't hate on them or anything but I somehow wish that I don't come across them as I don't think I could have a meaningful conversation with them.

I totally get you. I guess "species disphorya" should be an actual psychiatric condition :mlp_icwudt:

I myself grew bitter on furries because they were witch hunting bronies and I was target of such activities back in 2011-2014. The saddest part was that my very own friends from such a fandom started the harassment against me.

So, personally, I don't have too much trust on that fandom.

I'm actually wondering why 2 out of 3 poll options are pro-furry and there's none of disliking, instead just one of awkwardness.

There is no settled definition of a furry yet and I don't think there ever will be. Some people define a furry as someone who finds ((mostly cartoon) anthropomorphic) animals attractive. However, as I recently stated, there's a difference between a normal furry and being into bestiality. Meanwhile, others define a furry as being interested in the concept and creating arts expressing said interest. However, one can draw anthropomorphic animals without being a furry themselves. Because of the continuous confusion and debate about the definition of a furry, I believe everyone is allowed to have their own definitions that may morph overtime.

Thanks!

Yeah, I don't think I am a furry yet. I do see the attraction in some designs, while others disgust me. I am at least willing to accept that there are many furries out there, some very nice ones!

That question makes it sound like its purely a furry thing. If you think it's only furries that are into it, and not others in different fandoms (like our own) and outside of fandoms, all I have to say is

"Staring into the abyss" doesn't really sound like "hanging with that fandom" (which I haven't really - the only furry I met IRL also happened to be a brony) - but yeah, I thought you meant the latter tbh.

I am a furry~ AMA

I have a fursona, am acquainted with other furries and have been on and off with the community since as far back as I can remember. I'm practically a ghost though, no connections besides an artist I know

Well, sortof. I was thinking about the BronyCon documentary by Jenny Nicolson, and how she said the only thing left in the Brony fandom ... Well, it was kinda rude.

I know Furries have existed, at least since SatAM, which almost kinda made me a Furry... Heh. Nah, but the first Princess Sally though, it is the eyes...
