"Applejack's right, Princess. I couldn't stop her. I found out through Pinkie Pie that she went to Scotland to save Fluttershy, but I don't know who she went with, let alone how to get in contact with 'em." Colette then paused to rub her temples. "I don't know how to get through to her-- I-I… Don't know."

 

There was a moment of silence before Shawn spoke up. "If I may?? There may be a way to track Rainbow down-- my twin's still in Glasgow, and may be able to talk enough sense into her into heading back here---" he said as he took out his phone, "maybe he can find her, and then have Rainbow call us when he does!"

"Oh, I'm not worried about that," Stephen began, "I'm worried Rainbow'll not want to talk to me once she finds out I found ya! From what I hear, this Pony's pretty pigheaded!"

 

Stubborn or not, she still needed to be found. The question was, how were they going to?? Stephen followed the address Shawn had given him, as he said she was most likely to be there…

Fluttershy frowned at Shawn. "I...I'd rather Applejack talk to her. I-if that's okay with you." She didn't much feel like explaining all her reasoning, but then again...maybe it was obvious. Fluttershy didn't know who Shawn's cousin was, but the average random person wasn't someone she felt confident could drag her pegasus friend back.

@@Dawn Stripes, Dennis was a little bit surprised to see her come up this close. Looking in her eyes he was half hypnotized, how could he stay mad at times like this. "I guess we both do mistakes..." Right now what they both needed was some absolution and sharing the pain was at least part of it. "If you still need me as you say you do then i'll do my best. I'll help you find Fluttershy, and be here to listen. But now let us rest for a moment, then we can see about finding Fluttershy." he sits down and exhales. He has to pass the time somehow "You know what? Maybe this is time to get to know each other more... i don't want you to feel as if i am a total stranger. So... go ahead, ask anything you want and i'll be honest with you i promise-Pinkie Promise mind you."

Rainbow Dash looked down and left. Then down and right. She pried her fingers off Dennis as though they were thunderforged steam clamps, with a sheepish smile in tow. The arms flew innocently behind her head, and she tried to lean nonchalantly against the wall. "Sure," she winked. "A guy wants Dashie to get to know him. Nothin' wrong there."

 

With a heavy exhale, she took a seat on the couch, decided it was uncomfortable on the bruises of her knees, and stretched out again like a cat. Hmm--Dash had never been a terribly big fan of cats. That Opal..."Alright, Denny. First question. Oh." Something occured to her when she saw the TV remote near. There was a passing impulse to turn it on, but... "Ah, scratch that. First question. Who's room is this? Not that I mind, I'm just curious."

Twilight took a deep breath, and spoke.

"I'm... Sorry for my outburst earlier," Twilight said, noticing her tear-choked voice. "It's just... She's gotten herself into quite a bit of trouble, from what I've heard, and I don't want her doing any more damage. I'm... Afraid something might happen to her."

Twilight did perk up a bit at hearing about a possible way to contact her.

"So, all we have to do is tell her that Fluttershy is safe in Wisconsin," she said with a sigh of relief. Relief that was quicky lost when she realized it might not be for Fluttershy that she was in Scotland for, but the man who tried to seduce her.

"Oh no," she said, panicking again. "What if it's not Fluttershy she's after?! What if she's out to get her suitor?! Oh no. No no no no no. This is bad. She's got no idea what's going to happen if she tries to hurt him! What if the authorities arrest her, and then we never see her again? Then she'll rot in the dungeon while we return to Equestria without her! What if she is imprisoned for life, and without her, what if we can't return to Equestria?!??! What if she doesn't get arrested, reunites, but we still can never return?!!!???!!!!?!"

Twilight was clearly losing her sanity, and wasn't able to rationalize and think as clearly as she normally could.

Charles saying as he was checking his e-mail form his NSA Friend and send one back to him seeing what he know. Also he add keep a eye out for Rainbow Dash in Scotland since she is there now. Then he got one Reply back saying ok and then he went to check the weather making sure no Sever Weather is happing were they going.

Rainbow waved off nonchalanty. "S'cool,' she took another breath to relax, simmering down. "Don't know much 'bout mom. I was one of those single-father foals. One of those runaway mares, I guess, off to chase dreams. Anyhow, dad was a brick guess you'd call him. He was a shift manager at the Rainbow Factory Central by the time I came around." She leaned her head over the couch armrest and grinned. "And no, he didn't throw ponies into a mulcher to suck out their flash animation. He was up to his haunches in liquid rainbow most of the time. Had the cutie mark for it, you know. And the mane." She tapped her head. "Sometimes I got the feeling he was a bit disappointed I was less than crazy about going into his work, but the way I saw it he couldn't be too mad. That's a...well, what kind of a life is that? Seriously, can you imagine me working in a foundry all day?"

She closed her eyes for a second, chuckling. "Good old dad...hadn't visited him in a while." A brief frown creased her features. Hopefully she'd get a chance to make up for that. "How 'bout your parents, uh?"

They were greeted by a middle aged woman who said that a boy had indeed brought a strange rainbow haired girl in. Stepping into the entrance way, he spotted the back of Rainbow Dash's head above a couch as she spoke to a boy. Pulling out his phone, he called his brother. "Shawn? I found her. I need Jack's number."

"You did?? That's wonderful!" Shawn said. "Stephen's found Rainbow! Jack, expect a call from me brother! Put Applejack on as soon as ya do!"

Stephen inputted the number, ready to dial. He waited a moment, as she was speaking to.the boy."Rainbow Dash??" He said. "I understand you wanted to talk to Applejack?"

"Alrighty," Jack said, turning to Twilight, "Just gave my number to the guy who found Dashie. And I think Twilight might want to have a little word with her. Heh heh."

She rubbed her forehead--maybe she ought to rethink that public-relations methodology, she thought in an off-track meander, and then returned to the speaker. Cicada was with Stephen, but as requested kept a low profile. She didn't speak to Rainbow, just looked her over and noted that she seemed to be injured, as tho she'd walked into a wall. Cicada suppressed a snicker; seemed like the sort of thing that a mare like Rainbow would do for no reason.

"How 'bout your parents, uh?"

Dennis laughed when she mentioned working in a foundry, but when she asked about his parents he sort of "fell from the skies". "My parents are both teachers... they live in Greece a country far away from here. You should see it it's a beautiful place... with wonderful beaches and hospitable people." he thinks about Rainbow's father and he feels that she is blessed to have a guy like him "I guess i can't imagine you being something else than you already are. You are lucky that your father is healthy... mine... he was sick. He still is but... he has Parkinson disease. It's a disease of the brain that makes all function slower, and i actually stayed at home for quite some time, before coming to America, to help him. The worst was the medication he took about it, they had serious side-effects that caused my dad to be obsessed with assembling and disassembling machines." he grabs his head and pushes his hair back messing them around in his stress. "I spent five whole years of my life watching him grow restless, trying to help in any way i could. We grew apart... our relations weren't that good, but i still loved him no matter what. Finally after some years he did a surgery, they put some machines on his head and heart to help him. We lowered the medication too and things started getting better. But it left a scar..." he sighs and wipes a fragment of a tear in his eye. "It was strange not being able to help like i always wanted. Maybe thats one of the reasons i wanted to help you too... i didn't want to just stand and watch."

It wouldn't be nice to leave Rainbow without an answer just because i didn't have internet to answer.)) @@Hypn0ticD, At that time he notices that the lady that offered them her hospitality had opened the door. Quickly he used the cotton he was using from the first aid kit to wipe some of his tears away and dusted his clothes shaking them in long fluid movements. At the sound of Rainbow name he rose up too and aproached the door. "Uhmmm kindly someone tell me what the heck is going on?"

@@Meteorite, So things weren't all that different from Equestria huh? Mentalities were kind of similar, it seems that without control or restraint from some Princesses moral behaviors were much more... loose. Not that she minded much... one of the negatives of the Princesses' reign was certainly the taboos. "It seems that you are much more liberal, or should i say unbound when it comes to mental reactions? Probably you listen more to your instincts. Well... lucky me huh?" she laughs a bit. They spent the rest of their stay at the restaurant talking about the human world. Chrysalis learned that there were indeed at least one being like the Princesses, some called it "Lord", others "Allah", others "Budah". Each had their own way of celebrating and worshipping their gods, she wanted none of it. But she was interested nonetheless in Jesus who was said to have descended upon earth and performed several miracles. When she was told of his sacrifice to absolve all man-kind from their sins she gasped "He did what?" The idea that someone would have given himself so willingly to spread the message of love and peace was unthinkable for her. He learned about the wars fought over religion only, and was glad she was such a defiant spirit, but still the idea of forgiveness gave her some hope. If even killers can be forgiven coudln't she be as well? As they were passing through the road to get to their car there was a madman that stopped her before she entered her car. He carried a sign "God is coming!" and yelled "Repent! The end is Nigh!" She was surprised but also angry, David was on the other side of the car and yelled back at the man as he was coming his way "Stay off her you creep!" But Chrysalis was more than able to deal with this "Listen to me you dirty human." she said as she pushed him towards the wall "I have made gods like yours fall to their knees, i brought down the sun... what do you think i will do to you if my good mood runs out?" he shook him against the wall and returned to the car. "Let's get out of here..." she said as they got in their car and promptly proceeded to move towards David's home.

"Rainbow's friend Colette got a call from someone earlier, saying that you wanted to speak to Applejack," Stephen said nonchalantly as he took his phone back out, unaware that the call was supposed to be a secret. "But you hung up for some reason, and Colette had no way of getting you back on the line. You're lucky my brother and Fluttershy are with her, and even luckier that Colette got a hold of your friend, Rainbow."

He dialed Jack's number and handed it to Rainbow. "After the call, we gotta head to the airport."

"I bet she does!" Colette said as she stood to tidy up. "Fluttershy, Pinkie, you guys can take my room. Shawn, you can have my dad's. PLEASE don't trash it!"

 

It had been another long day, and it was getting late. Colette took some fresh linens out and stepped into her bedroom. "I'll stay up and wait for either your brother or Rainbow to call!"

Rainbow eyed the girl standing behind the other brony, and gave a short sigh, shrugging and smiling at the lass as if to say 'this is how it is'. "Figures no one can keep a secret around here," she mumbled, taking the phone. "Who am I talking to here?"

He had gathered his phone from the ground when Rainbow Dash had fallen. There was indeed an unknown-to-him number and that raised his curiosity. Noticing the time it was aproximately when he was sleeping. At that thought he turns a little to Rainbow and gives her a slight smile... 

"Don't worry... i don't mind that you took it, you needed your friends i understand." Dis she... no this could be anything and it would be justifiable if she was stressed or worried about them.

Stephen then looked over to Dennis as he seemed to forgive Rainbow Dash for calling someone without his knowledge… suspicious, but not really his problem!

"You don't have to stay up if you don't want to," Colette called out as she pulled out some clothes for both Pony mares. Dressing Ponies was really burning through her wardrobe! Dressing them made Colette realize just how much dark colored, boyish clothing she truly had…*

 

She emerged from her room, handing Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy each a baggy T-shirt and shorts. "Not as brightly colored as you might be used to, but they're clean!"

Ooc: Cicada's in her regular human form; you know, black hair and pale skin. But she's in different clothes than when she first fell to Earth so no holes. XD

 

Cicada was glad in some ways that Rainbow didn't seem to know who she was. But in other ways... she would have gloried in a confrontation.

Pinkie looked a little sad at the black t-shirt and grey shorts that she'd be wearing. But her clothes really could do with a wash by now, and when they were ready, she could wear them again. She perked up at that, and also at another thought.

 

"Maybe Rarity could make us some clothes," Pinkie said to Colette. "She's super duper fantastic at making clothes! Did you see the dresses she made for the Grand Galloping Gala?"

"Yes, I've seen 'em!" Colette said, doing her best not to shudder. Unlike most other girls, Colette was not the girly type, and very rarely wore dresses or skirts at all! "Well, maybe she can design clothes for all of you girls when she gets here!" She suggested as she went to make sure her father's room was presentable before going off to change.
