Common people would say "To each his own" but Dennis didn't want to stick with common beliefs, afterall those who want to make a difference carved their own path. Wanting to trace back were his feelings begun from he went back and remembered when he had seen her. He was surprised, but maybe this was the first hint? The second... he went to talk to her, something drew him there, he though he was seeking something... was it this? He talked to her about Mermaids and Angel, that was the first sign he understood himself. He saw her hurt... his over-reaction was sure a sign. But how would he show her this, and more importantly how would he understand if she felt the same way and win her heart? He smiled back at her, this was sure a special ocasion... 

Special Occasion

He aproached her, a little bit nervous. He shuffled his hands, he sure was shy... but that wouldn't help, afterall he had heard of it far too many times "The man must make the first move".

"Look Rainbow i was wondering... Back in home i have two bottles of the finest Greek wine from my grandfather's grapes. I was keeping them for a special... moment and i was wondering if you would like to share one with me? If you want that is..."

Rainbow blinked on the boarding ramp. "Booze?" She pursed her lips. "Well, I'm not supposed to drink, but..." That would be exceptionally rude to refuse an offer that was obviously generous. "For you, sure!"

She buckled her seat belts, tapping her hands against the arm-rest--no window seat for her this time, but what did it matter? There was nothing to see.

 

"Your house is on the way to Cole's, right? You want, you can pick up a bottle and bring it along. If we don't hit any birds up here we could be drinking it tonight."

@@Dawn Stripes,  Dennis' face beamed as he took deep breath. There were some hesitations but it went better than expected, maybe she was worried they'd get drunk? As he sits next to her he speaks again. "Don't worry... it's not something heavy and i'll make sure we don't overdo it. Uhhh by the way... hope i didn't creep you out before. You know... with the story about my father, sorry but i just haven't spoken about it to too many people." He got out a silver cross from out of his neck, clicking it open there was a small picture of his family:his parents, his older brother, his younger sister all dressed in style and smilling.

Hard cider and flying fancy don't mix. But seeing as I'm grounded, it's cool."

"Well, we're gonna stay up for a bit, so you can head on over and hang out for a bit if you want..." Colette answered. In the meantime, she had to think of what to do with her current party--- Colette was pretty sure the Ponies, Fluttershy especially, wouldn't want to see her extensive collection of creepypastas. Most of the games on her laptop were horror games, so they were out of the question... After a minute of thinking, there were only two games that she could think of that were safe for them to play --- Plants vs. Zombies and Bomberman Ultra, both on her XBox. "Uhh... wanna play a game until the others get here?? It'll be fun, I promise!"

Stephen sat next to the window, listening in to the two supposed lovebirds chat a bit. He thought it best for them to head directly over to Colette's house, but said nothing about it. Instead, he powered up his laptop and began to watch a few videos, some of which were of Colette singing and playing guitar. Within a few minutes, the plane was back in the air, making its way back to the States.

When they finally arrived back to the apartment David rubbed his eyes and yawned “Well I’m book” he said rubbing his face. He looked at the couch with discourage last night was an uncomfortable experience he did not want to remember but were else was he suppose to sleep the floor was not an option the only other way was…the bedroom. He turns to chrysalis with discomfort for what he was about to say “uh hey chrysalis…um ah I wanted to ask you something” he said as he puts his hand to the back of his neck and looks down “see the couch last night did a number on my back and I wanted to ask if…I could um sleep with you tonight” he said blushing “but NOT in that way but you know… we stay on our own side of the bed and other things but that’s totally up to you of course” ((sorry if the post doesn’t make any sense it was rush))

Cicada was glad enough that Rainbow didn't know as of yet that she was a Changeling. Oh, she'd have to find out sooner or later, but preferably not when they all were on a plane waiting for takeoff. It wouldn't do if the volatile pony got them all booted off.

"If you ask me lot of people are "grounding" you right now... given the circumstances i believe there should be some more understanding. As far the picture goes that's my father,  My mother *he points* her name is Aggeliki/Anjelina-it means Angel-like. My father's name is Lampros and it means Shining. My brother is named George and my sister Calliope many of the names we take do have some deeper meaning to them. At this point of the year we would normally be going to the beach." he looks into her eyes as he described with passion what there was at the sea "You should see it... the water is for me what the sky is to you, i may not look like it but i'm quite a good swimmer, not a bad athlete either. Looking back i remember the games we used to play! Like volleyball, tennis, and when there were waves... we pretended we were heroes clashing with them when we let them smash up against us. Do you like the water Rainbow?" 

@@Meteorite, Chrysalis is at least surprised from his proposition. It's not always she is offered companionship, and this seemed like a chance she wouldn't want to miss. However this was no time for... stuff. "Alright David... i owe you that much for your hospitality at least. We'll sleep togother, but remember... no funny stuff. Don't forget about the thing we have to do tommorrow... i don't want you distracted." she took his hand in hers' and looked at him. Lies were not something she would "But i won't lie to you... i do feel a bit afraid of this. "If I may interject?" Stephen asked, clearing his throat. "I know I shou've said something earlier, so it's my mistake. But anyhow, before you go off to plan your honeymoon Dennis, I think it'd be best if Rainbow went straight over to Colette's house, as all of her Equestrian friends will be there-- the Princess included." He said, raising an eyebrow at Rainbow Dash. If she didn't pick up on that hint, then she was just thick. "I know you want to get all romantic with her, but Rainbow should at least meet up with them first, then you two can go off and do whatever you want. Sound reasonable??"

David stared into her eyes with a gently smile "Me too but...You don't have to be afraid" he said grabbing both her hands "I promise you I won't do anything that relates to 'funny stuff' until your ready" he smiles and gives her a quick peck on the cheek and hugs her, him being with her was more than enough. Rainbow Dash twitched. Of all the times for someone to be insensitive, it had to be the most awkward possible time, when Dash didn't even know...she turned to Stephen with an irritated eyebrow. " 'Kay look buddy, you might be buying this trip, but d'ya think that gives you the right to be a douchemuzzle? Quit toyin' around with my friend. We're not dating! Okay? As for the side trip..." she shrugged at Dennis. "Your house can't be far off, it'll take like half an hour to swing by and pick up whatever you want, tops. Right? Everyone's waited for me for like three days, they can stand another thirty minutes without keeling over."

Shaking her head exasperatedly, she turned back to Dennis. "Sorry about that. Some people have no..." she closed her eyes and pinched her nose. "Anyhow. I never actually swam before. You might not think it, but these..." She looked around the cabin, and more quietly, flapped her arms suggestively. "You know, aren't very helpful for swimmin' around. I knew a few pegasi who could do it, but I never tried. Come to think of it..." She tapped her forehead. "I was at the beach once when I was here, but it never occured to me I could get in the water. Might have to try it sometime."

Something serious must have been going on... and from what he understood it must have involved Queen Chrysalis since her changelings were here. "Don't worry i won't be late..." he says re-assuring her for that matter. As they resumed the conversation he felt like talking a bit more about it. "I guess it might be hard flying after swimming, as it happens with all flying creatures. Funny thing about me liking water is that i was born under "The Pisces" the star formation of the fishes. Sometimes i watch the night sky and imagine that the concentrated stars are gateways to other worlds, maybe even Equestria. They glimmer like beautiful gems with all the colors of the rainbow... *he pauses for a moment before airing it out* kind of like your eyes i guess."

No nightmares plagued her dreams that night, something that had been happening all the time when she was at Equestria. A soothing touch was keeping the dark visions at bay, the visions of the dead, the hungry, the hurt, and the abandoned. They woke up togother and smiled, like if their minds were synchronized, David prepared the place for her as she thought of what she would say when looking at the mirror. Sheer determination filled her, no matter what she would behave like the Queen she was, she would not allow herself to be lectured, to be controlled or anything else. She held the key to their return, she was the one in control of her path, and no destiny would tell her who to be or what to do. After some thinking she and David decided of what to do in the video she would post on the Internet. Now standing tall in front of the camera in all her majesty and beauty and when the David motioned her to start she begun. This would be a live-streaming video of her.

"Greetings bronies of the world. I am Queen Chrysalis. As you might have noticed some days ago your favorite characters popped out of nowhere in this world. Some of you might not know but this is my doing... in an attempt to exile them and get rid of a major pain in my head i decided it would be apropriate to send them here with me being the only one to undo it. Unfortunate situations led to me also being stranded here... with some of my changelings. Things however have... changed."

Things had definately changed... and maybe this was for the best.

"You do not know the whole truth... none of you do. I did not seek power when i tried to get your "Elements" out of my way, in fact as much as i don't like them i bear no hatred or malice against any of the ponykind. Why? Simple... it doesn't do me any good and would simply cloud my judgement. At the moment they were simply like boulders standing in the way. If this sounds cold to you... i don't care. In fact the only thing i care for are my changelings, hell if i had to sell my soul to save them i would do so in an instant."

She had to reach the root of the problem, and explain the reason this was all happening.

"Hard situations demand hard sacrifices. If you think the problem for all these things happening was me you are greatly mistaken... Even if i hadn't started this war another King or Queen would do so in my place. Desperation and starvation were great factor to beginning this war... If you think we are vicious monsters now you should wait to see until a changeling reaches starvation, you have seen nothing."

She takes a deep breath and resumes her calm composure.

"Reconsidering the ways to prevent total extinction i have decided that it is best to end this war. Afterall... i made promise to someone i care about that i would at least try, and the Queen's promises are always kept."

She points at the camera like if pointing at those she wants to talk about.

"I am talking to you "ponies" now... if you do desire this you are welcome to come and talk with me, you can bring the humans that you met along the way if you want. Added to that everyone is welcome to ask their questions and i will try to answer them as best as i can. However i have a warning for all of you..."

She narrows her eyes hHer look starts getting fiercer and a "fire" starts burning in her eyes.

"I wouldn't like to regret this choice of mine because some "fanatics" of your kind offend me, or insult me. Same goes for those that hurt my changelings... and another thing. I am no Discord... you will NOT force me to repent, you will NOT manipulate me, and you most certainly will NOT threaten me! I will not be held responsible for what happens to those who attempt to be violent against me or my people."

She took another deep breath and paused for moment.

"Contact me Cicada... i need you by my side in this. Now... since this is supposed to be more of a positive message rather than a quarrel through the internet i hope that my voice entertains you in these last moments. But before i do that... i would like to thank David for his hospitality and... everything else, is there something you would like to say David?"

She invites him next to her and motions him to talk to the camera.

Cicada rolled her eyes at what she saw as Rainbow's self centeredness. "You know," she said. "It wouldn't take too long to see your friends, who you supposedly care about. Why don't you at least check in at Colette's house before running off with Dennis? Would that be too much to ask? Thought you were supposed to be the Element of Loyalty," she added, mockingly. Now that the plane was taking off, they were safe from interference.

Cicada decided at that point that it would be a good idea to update her Queen thru the Hive Mind link which she had kept open. She sent a brief message, filling Chrysalis in on everything that had happened so far and saying that she, along with Stephen, Dennis and Rainbow Dash, were currently on their way back to America.

He then sat back in his seat and continued to watch videos of Colette. "Cicada, drop it for now. There's no point with arguing with 'er. Wanna watch this with me??"

Rainbow made a point of ignoring the girl. Whatever her problem was, Rainbow Dash was determined to have none of it. Besides, she was in the middle of a more important conversation.
"Aw, geeze..." She looked away, unable to handle the sudden, utterly unexpected compliment. "Hell, I'm nothing special. You d'n 'ave to do that." She coughed. "So I...uh, guess you were right about that gateway thing. You're out here, and..I'm here, and...aheh..." she lapsed into silence, finding nowhere safe to look with the girl on her right and Dennis at her left.

Shawn laughed as Colette was getting positively owned by the Party Pony. "Maybe you'll have the same luck Pinkie's having! " Shawn said as he placed a hand on her shoulder.

He didn't mind if others were watching but nonetheless he wanted to state the truth. "You put passion in what you do... and i like that. David handed her a microphone, she had learned to use it well since last night. The song she was about to sing reminded her a lot of her ancestry.

"Sreiously, don't say that." Rainbow crossed her arms and blew a puff of air as the plane began to descend. "I know it's not true, okay, dude? Back home I'm what you'd call a clumper...not pretty at all." She kept her head down as they began to disembark. "I mean I know I got a crazy mane and everything, but I never comb it or anything, it's always a mess. I don't give two shits about my appearance, and it shows."

They tried to hail a taxi, Rainbow waving her discolored arms high to fetch one for a double tap. "Uh...y'know, you can say that stuff about me being basically an awesome flyer again, but...y'know...not pretty."
