Mostly due to the fact that those people:

A: Tried it once or a few times out of curiosity, then decided they didn't care for it or decided it felt wrong, and stopped.

or

B: Do not actively look for clop material, but casually read or look at it when it befalls them accidentally while searching, thus do not consider themselves one.

I'm getting tired of these clop threads, since I don't even care about it. But they seem to always be the most active subject.. I just don't understand why it's so interesting.

 

This is somehow all I see on the internet today and some of it around the forum at times.

 

 

One dude: "I dislike cloppers". Other dude: "Dude, do you even love and tolerate". One dude: "You're a clopper!". Other dude: "I never said that". Third dude: "Noone loves and tolerates anymore, at least not the few I hang around with". One dude: "You're a clopper too, bunch of cloppers". Other dude: "I remember when love and tolerate actually had a meaning". Third dude: "Love and tolerate still has meaning to people". Other dude: "Then why can't we tolerate cloppers". One dude: "R34 should not be on my internet". Other dude: "It isn't your internet, besides R34 exists for everything". One dude: "NO!". Third dude: "Love and tolerate was only meant to be used against the haters, that hated the show without giving it a chance and they were supposed to just tolerate it instead of hating on it. It wasn't meant to be used like a rule you had to follow. It only meant to be more open minded about stuff and not hating on something you haven't even given a chance, some took it on the next level and started living by it". One dude: "Cloppers everywhere!". Other dude: "Dude, just tolerate it". One dude: "HELL NAH!".

^Sometimes I feel like it's always like this, just people annoyd over clopping, annoyd over love and tolerate and then there is always the dude that seems to actually just be neutral, not to mention the people that keep yelling that the fandom is going downhill. But really, that's somehow all I see, I guess it's just the pony drought. This subject is just getting boring to be honest.

 

It isn't even a big deal, it isn't even weird. What's so weird about it, is it because it's ponies.. Because they don't even look like real horses anyway. They have great personalities and are cute, like really.. I think everyone has the potential to become a clopper, some of us just stay away from it. I'm just getting tired of the subject, sorry if I sound offensive. I'm not trying to offend anyone, it's just getting old that's all.

Nonetheless, this survey was...surprising.  A year ago people were still seriously debating whether cloppers could be accepted into the community; now an informal survey suggests that we who haven't clopped are in the minority?  I'm sure there was some inaccuracy in the survey, but it's still a sign that things are changing.  Not for the worse; I can understand and respect clop.  But it's strange to see the "dark side" of the fandom become more accepted and open as the fandom itself is becoming manestream.

Ok, I would like to begin with the fact that I am most certainty NOT a clopper, and have never clopped. But would never judge anyone based on what they beat off too. That's THEIR business. For you are 26 apparently (I´m 21, turning 22 myself) some things are maybe just a bit different back when you were at that age.

Things have changed, some things to the best, some to the worst, generally you can see pre-maturity with young people (13-15), at least where I live.

The world has just turned, the 2 arguments you bring can´t even be counted, you are aware of how even 12-13 year olds have access to all kinds of NSFW content on the Internet, even just with google pics, even with "safe search" on ._.
