Hello all, and welcome to Whisper: City of Darkness ((The Reboot)). For those new to this RP, welcome! To those returning: welcome back! This is a reboot of my most successful RP, which I am still determined to finish! This time around, we have a few changes for character/player benefit and convenience. The plotline is more or less the same, so no real changes there. IF YOU ARE CONFUSED IN THE CONCEPT OF TAROT POWERS, PLEASE DON’T WORRY! It will become extremely evident what they do as the RP progresses.

Setting the Scene:
In a distant future, eons after the canon events of MLP:FiM, the Royal Sisters have disappeared, and a mysterious King has taken their place. The Mane 6 have become immortal, the Guardians of Harmony. However, despite the fervent prayers of countless citizens, they remain silent and hidden the heavens. Princesses Celestia and Luna are no longer present to raise the sun and moon, and so Equestria no longer has night, nor day. The Sun is missing for the sky, as is its counterpart. All that remains is what ponies call the Mist. The atmosphere is dull and grey.
Canterlot has changed. It has been divided into two sections, the Upper and Lower Cities. The Upper city houses those who can afford it, mainly first and second class ponies, while the Lower City houses the poor and unfortunate, and is often referred to as the Slums.

The Everfree Forest is gone, worn away with time. All that remains is the river that ran straight through. It is strictly forbidden for a pony to ever cross the Everfree River, and any that do are never seen again…
Your Character:
At any point in time, be it at the beginning of the RP or sometime before, your character will receive an invitation to Equestria’s most prestigious school: the Equestrian Academy for Higher Learning. However; something evil lurks within the walls of the school. Your character, along with Twelve others, is specially chosen to be a part of an expedition that is supposedly going to explore the long lost ruins of the Crystal Empire. What you don’t expect is the subsequent drugging and abandonment at the gates of a strange city. You and your peers do the sensible thing and look for a map, a landmark, anything.
What you find is a whole lot more than your bargained for.

Summery:
Basically, your character is specially selected to “explore the long dead Crystal Empire” but in reality is dumped on the doorstep of a cursed city ((aka Delvia)) and left to die. The whole RP is based around a conspiracy that the 12 students chosen are not only linked to powers having to do with Horoscope Star signs, but also have abilities in regards to the 22 Major Arcana Tarot Cards.
You can choose any OC you want, however, you must choose a Star Sign and a Tarot Card to go with them.

I'm honestly not sure what his card thingy should be though... perhaps Devil? His magic is dark, is in constant search for knowledge to raise his power and knowing (in Paradise Lost, Satan tempts man with knowledge and was of course banished for being a seeker of things not his to have), and if Acheron does enter into "deals" with others, he usually demands something in return.

His magic may be dark; however, is darkness truly evil? I've always interpreted the Devil card as somewhat misleading in definition, mostly because of the reverse pentagram on the original card. Most people would say its bad, or evil, but it really depends on how you look at darkness.

Upon studying the Devil card, one finds its meaning:

"Ravage, weird or strange experience, downfall, unexpected failure, controversy, violence, disaster, and ill temperament."

Are these qualities you spot early on in your character?

Also, what is his Horoscope? That may make it easier to determine his Arcana. Once we get this all sorted, I'll add him down to the list!

Oh no, not at all! Horoscope is actually very simple, and there are less variables to think on! To start, do you know your own Horoscope? It has to do with your birthday, just the month and the day, forget about the year. For example, I was born on the 25th of September, therefore I am a Libra. To make it simpler, I just had my character be a Libra, too!

Do you want your OC's horoscope to match yours?

As for the Tarot card part, it is said that the Heirophant is actually a keeper of Forbidden Knowledge...

Oh dear :/ it seems we have a small problem. I believe someone has already chosen Sagittarius as their sign. Are you alright with a change of Horoscope? If you aren't, I'll understand.
