I’d rather be active in a sport I hate. I don’t like non-participation; it makes me feel like I’m dead or non-existent. I can always watch any sport I like, but if I’m going to be involved, I want to be involved.

Doing something I actively hate seems more punishing overall. I'd rather sit on the sidelines and just watch a sport I enjoy.
