All I see pretty much is old pokemon....I was expecting more pokemon then THAT.. ugh..kinda sad. ^^" Are there more? There are 68 completely new Pokemon in the Kalos region. There are also a few dozen old Pokemon that are getting Mega Forms, which technically make them new Pokemon. It's already been confirmed that none of the new Kalos Pokemon will be getting Mega Evolutions. That being said, you are able to catch ~450 Pokemon in the Kalos region so you have much more variety at your disposal than you've ever had in any other Pokemon game. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They just look kinda weird to me. Also, why were Banette and Medicham given Mega Evolutiona? I get why some of the most popular Pokemon like Blaziken, Mewtwo and Tyranitar (and Gyarados much to my chagrin) are given upgraded forms, but neither Banette or Medicham seem popular enough to me to warrant a mega form. It's most likely because they're just testing out the 3D thing and also had to make 3D models for the other 649 pokemon. I'm sure generation 7 will include more pokemon than this generation. Still, I was really curious at what they would do. Compared to other versions, they seemed to lag. I'm getting X still, but...seems like I expected a little more. Alakazam Banette Heracross Houndoom Pinsir Mega Heracross... that's gotta be one of the most ridiculous Pokémon I've ever seen, not really fond of it. Anyhow, was nice to glance some game play in real life. Looking forward to starting my journey tomorrow. Most of my work was finished early this week, so should get some good playtime in Love the new Mega-Evolutions I'm seeing; especially Gardevoir and Alakazam! But imagine if they screw it up like Heracross. My favorite pokemon would be ruined. I'm pretty sure they would not only add a pair of wings and a bigger horn. Well, as it turns out, that rumor is true. According to Serebii.net, Inkay evolves into Malamar at level 30 but only while holding the 3DS upside down. This isn't the only unique evolution method either.
