Do you sometimes feel your posts don't matter?

No way, never. And that's because I NEVER post if I don't feel I am bringing something to the conversation. I feel that's a good rule of thumb.

Yes, but I suppose it's only fair because I really don't give other members or their posts much of my attention. I really can only expect them to do the same, then.

Sometimes I get brohoofs which is a nice affirmation of something. A post is permanent so I think it 'matters' at least more than regular talking.

I don't care - I post what I like and if people don't care, so be it.

I don't post often and usually only read the posts made. Simply because I mostly don't have anything meaningful to contribute. I'll never be known here but I'm not here to make my voice heard in the first place. I enjoy browsing and occasionally contributing. The only place I post constantly is my art-thread and between two or three pictures, I'll get a reaction. So yeah, my posts don't matter at all but it would be wrong to get sad and/or upset about it.

I used to feel that way sometimes, and I still do every once in awhile. But to be honest, it doesn't bother me much anymore because I just like to have fun posting things regardless of whether or not anyone ever reads them.

I'm kinda glad it doesn't because most of the things I said are either provocative or not positives that may offend people mainly in the debate section. I don't hold anything back. I just like posting things in general, and throwing some few jokes around there and there. :LunaMCM:

I've had times like that an still do on occasion but I do still have fun posting on forums regardless of whether or not my posts matter so might as well continue even if that's the only purpose in posting.

I read most if not everyones posts though I don't know if anyone actually reads mine haha. This is a forum and the point is discussion if you're not reading others posts or discussing then why not rather write a blog haha. So you know its fun to read what others are thinking then telling them what I am thinking usually I do try to quote and brohoof posts I agree with or I relate to their thinking process. While I do sometimes think to myself nobody is actually reading my posts I still got my thoughts on it so you know if anyone does want to read it they can do so if they like to.

Maybe its because the post dont matter... if you really think "shipping the user above you" is making any sort of influence or change in the world I think you should really re-evaluate your perspective.

Do online post matter, no. Can they still be fun and bring you enjoyment. Yes! Is that enjoyment diminished if no one ever reads it. No!

I feel the same way, too, sometimes. :sunny:

I enjoy reading status updates, so it wouldn’t irritate me!

But I get the feeling.  I feel the same sometimes as well, lol.

No, never!

And for the topic:
It is sad when I make a post that actually matters, but isn't seen. This usually happens when I am unlucky and post the 25th post on a page, and someone immediately posts another to change the page. But otherwise, I believe posts only matters if people wants them to matter. Try to make as good posts as possible, and hope people will read them or find them someday.

Yes, because they don't. It's not a feeling, just a fact.

I feel like that only sometimes. Most of the time I couldn't care less if anypony chooses to read my posts or not, it's only when like I make a really good argument or something like in show discussion or some other discussion-related thread and nopony seems to take notice of my input is when I feel like I just kinda wasted my time making the post to begin with. :sunny:

@King of Canterlot That's exactly why I try my best to read most if not all of the posts as I've already mentioned the reasons but one of them is also simply the fact if someone has actually written a good text that they want others to read and consider. If you're not reading those posts I feel like you are not really using a forum as a forum, someone brings up a good point that point should be noticed as what we are doing is discussing together not in monologues. So yes a post that was written years ago you can choose to not read it but like now why would I not read yours. While I personally get why someone wouldn't read every post we still should be reading some.

Of course my posts don't matter. They're just off-handed comments and not world changers. I don't intend for them to be anything special because they are what they are; something to do when I'm bored.
