I really agree. When I had an ambient track on the site, I had no clue what genre to put it under. And I think ambient counts as its own genre.

You can do downtempo if it has beats and that's where it should go. If it's truly ambient it would have none (or vocals generally).

 

I think only a few artists like Kyoga are making such pony music and he doesnt have a pony.fm account here.

 

But if you disagree give us a little more info on why....

Perhaps rename "Downtempo" to "Downtempo / Ambient" would be the best choice?
