Rush barely had a chance to respond as Scorching dragged his sister off. "Oh, um... alright then. Hopefully we can talk later." It was then that he realized he'd never even properly introduced himself. "By the way, my name's Gal Rush. I'll be in room 206 if you want to talk more."

 

And then they were gone. He sighed and headed up to his room. Maybe he'd see her again, maybe not. If not, well... plenty of other fish in the sea and all that. 

It didn't take long for Rush to get bored of sitting around in his room, and he soon headed back downstairs. When he did, he saw a mare- and another attractive one at that- struggling with her luggage. Admittedly, he probably would have helped her whether she was attractive or not, but it didn't hurt.

He trotted over to her. "You look like you could use some help. You want me to carry those for you?"

The golden-coated pony, looking very out of place in her beach apparel, nodded wordlessly at the colt. She was still shivering, although less so than before. "Th-thanks," her teeth chattered. "Can I... Is there a surf snow shop here or something? I'm freezing."

Getting ever so slightly peckish, Shady stood up from her seat by the fireplace and quietly picked up her bag from the floor. She slowly made her way straight for the lodge's cafe to see what they had to offer. Without much thought, she ordered a simple blueberry muffin and some hot cocoa before taking her things to a table next to one occupied by a yellow and cyan mare.

 

She didn't give her surroundings much thought as she took a bite out of her snack and sipped her cocoa.

Rush took all of her bags with little trouble and began walking up the stairs, gesturing for her to follow. "No wonder you're freezing dressed like that! Although I must say, the look suits you. Anyway, I just got here myself, but I would guess there are some warmer clothes in the souvenir shop if nothing else. In the mean time, you can borrow something from me if you want, although it's obviously going to be enormous on a mare as petite as you."

"You too? What a coincidence!" he laughed. "So, dear, my name is Dusk Chant. By any chance could I get yours?" he asked in a suave manner. "I want to know what to call such an elegant piece of perfection such as yourself." He smiled in a friendly manner. His words sounded somewhere between hitting on her and joking about hitting on her.

 

Star seemed to shy away again. All that was showing of her head were her eyes, peeking out from in between her scarf and hat.

She took a deep breath as if preparing herself to jump from a cliff before replying, in a voice as quiet as a mouse. "I'm S-Star Song..." She said, her cheeks still a bright pink...but they couldn't be seen behind her scarf.

Star seemed to shy away again. All that was showing of her head were her eyes, peeking out from in between her scarf and hat.

She took a deep breath as if preparing herself to jump from a cliff before replying, in a voice as quiet as a mouse. "I'm S-Star Song..." She said, her cheeks still a bright pink...but they couldn't be seen behind her scarf.

"Aww, you've got such a cute name! And you're quite the cutie yourself," he commented, thinking how she looked, all bundled up, was adorable. "So Star Song, it's a big place. Where do you plan on going first? I might join you," he offered in  friendly manner. He took a sip from his coffee.

"Oh, I can help teach you if you want. I remember my first time. I fell down so much!" he laughed. "It's a ton of fun though, and once you get used to it, it's pretty cool. I bet you'll like it." He gesticulated as he talked, taking a long sip from his drink after he spoke.

"Psst...PSST!" Shadow called to dusk, inside his head this time. 

"What do you want now? I told you before not in public! Ponies will think we're weird..." Dusk hissed back as quiet as he could in a cautionary tone. 

"Ponies are gonna think you're weird anyway just sittin' at the table like that! Go 'n' grab somethin' to eat will ya? Besides, i'm hungry."

Dusk looked up, noticing all the ponies sat down seemed to be either eating, drinking, or having a conversation, or any combination of the 3. "Oh...that's...that's actually not a bad call." He said to himself, a little louder, before he stood up and made his way over to the café counter. He ordered a simple lettuce and hay sandwich, and a cup of hot chocolate to warm himself up.

"Certainly sir! Would you like me to bring it over, or would you prefer to wait?" The mare behind the counter replied in response to Dusks order.

"I'll, uh, I'll wait. Don't want to be any trouble." 

"Of course" She smiled, and set about getting the food and drink, leaving Dusk to stand alone at the counter while he waited.

Midnight got hungry and decided to go to the café. Once he was inside he saw a bright yellow pegasus sitting alone."Well, it's now or never."Midnight thought. He walked over to her hoping not to come over as if he's hitting on her. "excuse me ma'am, but may I sit next to you?"

After a while of being in their rooms, Freezing and Scorching came out of them, but in different times. Freezing, who was still wearing the same thing as before, walked down towards the cafe, sitting down at a table by herself.

 

Scorching, however, came out with a burnt red hoodie on, along with some regular gray sweatpants, going to hang out in the lobby. It was most likely that neither of them were going to speak to each other at all for the rest of the trip...

Aura Feather had been watching the ponies outside on the ski hills, when she heard a stallion's voice, asking her if he could sit at the seat next to her. She turned and smiled politely.

"Oh, sure! Um, my name's Aura Feather. Did you just get here today too?" She said as she motioned for him to sit.

"Great! We'll leave for the slope whenever you're ready." He looked at Star some more and chuckled. "You look so cute all bundled up like that, babe. Your winter wear really compliments your coat too." He flashed a smile at her, moving over to sit beside the zebra-pegasus mix.

 

Star inched away from Dusk as he moved closer...but it was barely noticeable, blushing slightly from his compliment.

She finished her sandwich and sipped her tea, not really saying anything. She looked at the many ponies in the room around them and did her best not to make eye contact with Dusk...knowing that if she did she or he would have to say something...which meant she would have to speak either way. She sipped her tea again, still blushing from Dusk's compliments...she wasn't sure if she found them annoying or sweet...either way she was embarrassed.

 

 

A few minutes later she finished her tea. She stared at her empty mug and gulped before looking up at Dusk. "I um..." She blushed slightly and pointed at her empty mug.

Snowdream sat alone at a table. She had only ordered a hot chocolate, and was sittin there quietly sipping it. She watched all the conversations of passing ponies. As Freezing had just ordered what was... a... entire cup of ice, she sat down over at a table, looking about as she munched on her ice. Everyone seemed to be busy talking, except for one mare, who had an almost striking resemblance to her... She seemed a bit aloof, and maybe she could use a friend... Freezing got up with her cup, and walked over to her table with a smile on her face.

So, he is paying me back by sending me here and dragging his flank here as well."
