Why are there icons for the main boards but not sub-boards?

I saw the new icons next to the boards. They look very nice, but why aren't there any for the suboards?

Probably because they just didn't make any.

 

Subforums are exactly that: "sub"forums.

 

They are really just there to categorise stuff together, and I think the signs are much more fitting, as if they're a little part of "Sugarcube Corner" or "Everfree Forest."

 

Also, they don't have names that are unique to begin with. 

 

What kind of icon would be used for "General Discussion"? It'd be something pretty bland if we had to force ourselves to set one.
