Lowering the Character Count for Posts

This 100 Character Count is becoming quite bothersome. I can't make a short post.

 

Is there way to lower the character count down a bit? Maybe like to 50 or 25 or 10?

Nope. The character minimum is non-optional. That said, we've invested in improvements that should be coming soon, which will allow people to make shorter posts in moderation along with longer posts. These changes have gotten delayed due to things breaking unexpectedly, but they shall come.
